"i feel like books pretend to be fantasy or scifi but theyre romance" oops thats the tea. im a sucker for romance tho if it's done well!! thanks for the recs!!
Thank you! I just posted my Summer Faves on my beauty channel and the intro basically summarize my slight obsession with mustard 😂 ruclips.net/video/fQ4GVh-_nIc/видео.html
Girl don’t be ashamed of liking a romance! Romance has become the main genre I read now and I’ve just come to accept that this is what my life is now 😂 But you would HATE everything I read. I usually end up reading either the Megan Markle genre (working class American girls gets with a prince) or an intense romantic suspense. Those are my niche!!
Tara Taillon we are NOT ashamed for not liking romance. Dont get it wrong. For me even, romance ruins everything in the books, and almost everytime it isn't necessary.
Yeah I'm not ashamed to actually dislike romance, it has ruined so many books I liked! I struggle to describe why I like these because they sound ridiculous when I try to describe them haha
I would recommend "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe". It treats it characters with love even when they make mistakes and just the whole book make me happy.
I literally read all of these on your recommendation and loved all of them! I get such secondhand embarrassment reading bad romances too (the Selection series was SO. CRINGY. but I couldn’t stop reading lol) but LOVE finding good ones that have the right balance of interesting plot + loveable side characters + not-too-cringy romance. So thanks for all the great recs!!!! Love your videos 💕💕💕
I relate on a spiritual level to everything you said about the romance plots, especially about buying a YA fantasy book that is just 400 pages of instalove, dumb love triangles (it's always clear who will be the OTP) and stupid misunderstanding-related drama that could be solved in 1 minute if people just spoke to each other. *rolls eyes* That's why I trust your reviews about these things. We seem to have the same point of view. I don't think that I hate-hate romance per se, it's just very annoying when it's done badly af + it takes over the whole plot. That being said, I'm currently reading the Winner's Curse trilogy and loving it.
"Apparently I am not completely made of rock, my heart is not completely dead" This is litearally me. Also, I love all the books in the Simonverse. I need to read the Remnant Chronicles sooooo badly!
I loved the Winner's Curse and Remnant Chronicles. I'm currently reading Mary E. Pearson's newest book Dance of Thieves which takes place in the same world as Remnant Chronicles series six years later and love when she mentions old characters!!
VERY surprised (in a good way) to see this video from you! Love it. May or may not have purchased the Winners trilogy off book outlet while waiting for the bus this morning...
You should read the Liveship Traders series by Robin Hobb. It’s a adult high fantasy series set in the same world as her Assassins Apprentice series. It’s has great writing, plot, and characters and includes one of my favorite romances, and the romance is a favorite because it does NOT take over the plot! I would never classify this series as romance, but the romance it has adds to plot and is MINOR to the rest of the story, so I think you’d really like it
Are you talking about the romance between Malta and Reyn or Althea and Brashen? + the Robin Hobb books contain my favorite romantic relationship of all time. It even spans 60 years.
Althea and Brashen, but Malta and Reyn are a close second! I just love all of them! And I think the fact it's not heavy on the romance adds a lot to it. Because of it I felt as though every scene counted between the couples and it never distracted from the rest of the story
I agree with all of these!!! I have yet to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo though, but everyone has been raving about this book so I guess I'll have to pick it up soon! I also have to finish The Winner's Curse trilogy. I've only read the first one but I really enjoyed it.
I think you would like Written in Red by Anne Bishop. It is such an underrated series with the best slowburn romance and an actual plot that has nothing to do with romance!
if you wanna start with romance, i recommend starting with YA first, then go higher and higher (by age). I would like to recommend Autoboyography by Christina Lauren, Aristotle and Dante Discover the secrets of the universe, and after that, maybe you could dive into rom-coms hehe. Well, for rom-coms that would be a different story.
I read the Winner’s Trilogy because of you and LOVED it, and then, I started The Remnant chronicles also because of you and I’m loving it too! (Also, I read I’ll give you the sun by jandy nelson and fell completely in love too, lol, your recommendations are the best)
Great video! Have you though of doing a video about amazing books with little to no romance? I am so tired of seeing good plots ruined (or cheapen) because they wanted to have a love triangle/romance at all costs. Little rant: Gimme an wholesome friendship we don't need a love story all the freaking time, especially if the plot can stand on its own *end of rant* Keep it up Emily xx
The problem is that most books I enjoy end up being with little or no romance so I tend to forget which ones contained a bit of it and I'm scared to mention one in a video like that and being called out lol Have you read "The Poppy War"? 0 romance but trigger warnings for everything! Best fantasy book of 2018 though!
I’m not one to comment on looks because I feel like there’s so much more to a person than that but Emily you are so beautiful dude wtf. And I love your makeup.
Romances I would recommend because I was really caught off guard by how much I liked them: "Cruel Beauty" by Rosamund Hodge, "His Pretend Baby" by Theodora Taylor, and "Glitterland" by Alexis Hall. ALL will be in my favorite books of 2018 vid at the end of the year!
I’m *not so* patiently waiting for you to read outlander! I read it earlier this year and loved it so much more than I thought I would! There are definitely some cringy sex scenes and moments but I actually didn’t mind and was rooting for the characters! There’s some awesome adventure in there too! Haha I want to hear what you think!
I kept hearing EVERYONE talk about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I kept checking it out on Overdrive, but never got around to reading it, but one day, I was just like okay, I'm going to read this book! OH MY GOSH! I read that book in 1 day, I couldn't put it down, you know a book is good when you start reading it and it just consumes your entire life for a day.
Ok, I loved ‘SATHSA’, ACOMAF and, am currently loving ‘The Winner Trilogy’, so I feel I better just take the plunge and read Evelyn Hugo and the Remnant series. This is a quality video 10/10
I'm about halfway through Dance of Thieves and am LOVING it. it takes place ~6 yrs after the previous series so we see a lot of the characters again on the periphery as we expand on the world. Also, if you were a Kaden fan I feel like this new romance will be up your alley!
I'm so confused why you loved the kiss of deception ahaha. Like. I REALLY liked it too but there is so much romance and the love triangle takes such a big place ahah. Argh I love the romance in winner's curse. I love the whole trilogy. love love love love.
Honestly I have no idea but for some reason I liked it lol I did start to resent the love triangle during the second book but there was enough political intrigue for me to continue!
I love what I’ve read by Grace Draven. Easily some of my favorite reads... her writing just give me such a good feel. Do you have any recommendations of authors like her!?
I am so proud that I discovered The winner's curse trilogy before you raved about it since you introduced me to the Kiss of Deception trilogy - I binged both as well they are so good! And preach, I want organic romance not just in there to fill space LOL
I'm off to my honeymoon tomorrow (we're off to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks- I'm so excited) and you convinced me, I'm taking The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo with me to read on the plane ❤
Lol I'm still here to hang! I've been slowly trying to get into sci-fi. But if you mention a book with romance you don't like I can go "wait I might like that one" 😂
The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness is my favourite romance! Romance is also my favourite genre! All Souls is paranormal and has no love triangle and not many sex scenes. Those scenes aren’t written graphically. The author has another book, connected to this series coming out in September 2018 too, so now might be the perfect time to start it! Plus, the lead male character is my favourite EVER!!!!!!!! All of the books you mentioned are on my TBR, as well, apart from ACOMAF, which I’ve already read and I LOVED!!!! You’ve made me excited to get to all of them!!!
Matthew is the love of my life. I was a little skeptical about him at first, but now coming to think of it I believe he is one of the best characters I've ever read about and which completely stole my heart :))))
I really enjoyed this video. I definitely agree with you about the romance in A Court of Mist and Fury. After hearing you talk about them I definitely want to give some of the other books a try
Oh, had to stop reading about ethics to see this video. Yes, I really wasn’t expecting, but I loved it. No, I don’t like romance as well, but sometimes it’s done right. I’ve only read the Simon one, but I’d like to check on the others. Loved you make up, even though I don’t use make up, and understand nothing about it. You have a particular way of talking that makes me very enchanted. It’s delightful how you talk about books. Makes me read more.
I'm definitely a fan of subtle romance. One of the best romantic relationships I've ever read is from The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker and it's barely there but so wonderful and the characters are so different but that's why they come to appreciate each other and gah...I'm very emotional about it lol. YES Arin and Kestrel! I still need to read the last book but I feel like I'm not emotionally prepared for it lol. Also: you are ROCKING that yellow eyeshadow!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo has been sitting on my list! Now I'm even more excited to read it lol. I feel like you might like The Rules of Civility.
The moment i saw the notification, i thought the books will not be more than 5 books. Then Again you mentioned that it is not recommendation video but merely your favourites , but will try some of these. PS: Your eyes were clearly distracting in yellow but in a good way.
Yay - what a cool video idea! I kinda did a double take when I read the title haha.. I also get embarrassed for te characters generally when the female characters main goal in life is made to be to find a guy :(
One book that I recomend is "las 3 bodas de Manolita" (the 3 marriages of Manolita, Almudena Grande). It is a story of the spanish civil war and how romance can coexist with it.
When you were talking about the winner's curse I started thinking abouy The Remnant Chronicles and was about to check your Goodreads to see if you've read it and you pulled them out and it made me so happy!!! I feel the same way about who Lia ended up with and also the whole Pauline relationship I could see it being foreshadowed but I was still hoping it wouldn't happen then it did and they ended up together which made me take half a star off my rating lol
It's so funny that you actually have The Kiss of Deception there, because when I finished this book I immediatelly went and ranted to my friend about how all the YA books are just romance in disguise and how much I hate it and how I don't get why people rave about The Kiss of Deception as if it was any different. So I literally burst out laughing when you showed the books. But I do agree with Simon being on the list. Can't wait for What If It's Us!
I have already read three of these books (including The Winner's Curse trilogy) and I absolutely love them... I just finished a trilogy recently and I think that you could like it, the first book is called Legend by Marie Lu and, as though there is romance, it's not the main topic. It's a dystopia which is really really really good ! I recommend it to you :)
I purchased The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo at a discount store for $1.99 and Omg this book is soooooo good! So glad I own it. Probably my fav of the year. 💚
Currently reading book 2 of the Remnant Chronicles, and loving it! Thanks for the recomendation! You don't like who she ended up with?! Now I'm worried :') (Though we may not even like the same one)
Usually, like 99,9% of time I hate romance in a books, but recently I've read Radiance by Grace Draven and I loved the relationship between two main characters. By the cover it looks like a typical trashy romance fantasy, but the world building was actually quite good and again the main couple! The fun part is that our two heroes are from different races that find each other extremely hideous but are forced to marry for political reasons. So their hole relationship is build on understanding, acceptance and friendship, which was just beautiful 😍
the cover makes you doubt the story but you're absolutely right about the world building and the slow burn. after i read the 1st book, I immediately looked for the second.
Great video. I totally get your dislike of romance in general because I used to hate these books too. (Used to.) The fact that some romance books still won your heart definitely make them interesting recommendations.
Hey Emily. How are you doing? Thanks for telling me about all of those books and series, for I have not read any of those. I will have to check those out after I get done with a few other book projects that I have.
You should have included some classics. You have to read Persuasion by Jane Austen if u did not. It's My No.1 romance book. I also mostly hate romance for the same reason cheesy and cringy
I tend to avoid romance so "romance + classic" usually wouldn't be on my radar lol I did like Pride and Prejudice but I tend to prefer the BBC series over the book!
My favorites are P.S. I like you by Kasie West and Dramatically Ever After by Isabel Bandeira. =) They're both super sweet hate turned love romances. Super hilarious banter and nice "clean" romances, if you're looking!!
Your eye makeup is gorgeous. Have you ever read historical romance? I was surprised I enjoyed the few I read. But if you liked Kiss of Deception with the war and adventure and royalty, it might be a genre to try out. From what I can remember, "fade to black" love scenes are more common in that sub genre than explicit ones too.
That's a good idea! Although to be honest, historical romance is also not my usual genre but I should try it more often (I still need to finish The Song of Achilles!)
This is not a video I was expecting of you.. I'm really not mad at it 🤔🤣 J'adore ton nouveau rythme de upload de vidéos sur cette chaîne tu me donnes toujours envie de lire plus mais surtout d'utiliser mon esprit critique avec ce que je lis! Bisous de la Belgique ❤
I recommend “P. S. I Love you” by Cecelia Ahern. It was a 5 star read for me I devoured it. I read it I think in 2003 or 2007 and it still has a place in my heart I definitely am going to reread it . It’s about a husband whose wife has died of cancer and him dealing with the grief and his dead wife actually helps him with letters she left for him before she died. It’s an amazing story and I think you’ll love it 💕
BookswithEmilyFox no I didn’t see the movie so I can’t judge but I think that books are always better than movies 👌 I guess if you liked the story in the movie you’ll absolutely love it in the book
So far I have read a sci-fi, a fantasy and a romance on your recommendation and loved them all. I thought I was mostly into romance (aka fantasy romance YA aka it all started with twilight), but I'm happy to say that I enjoy a book without it/more realistic relationships just as much.
I love these books! Haven't read the first and third ones though. Putting them on my to-read list. I'd also recommend some boys by patty Blount. Sea of tranquility. Private arrangements. And gone with the wind. None of them are fantasy though. Sarah J. Mass's other series, the 1st book being the assassin's blade is also a personal fav. That's fantasy.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was definitely one of the best romance books I've ever read! I was hoping you'd mention The Remnant Chronicles because I really enjoyed that series even if I wish the love triangle-ness had not persisted throughout all three books. I remember liking the romance in Burned by Ellen Hopkins (along with most of her books, romance or not), but I haven't read it in years so I'm nervous to vouch for it! :P
same! I actually really like steamy romance stuff, but I get so annoyed to pick up a fantasy book and see that it's actually a romance. why not just market it as a romance in a fantasy setting?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Daughter of Smoke and Bone! The first book is very romance heavy, the others have that love element but there is a big plot (a wonderful, wonderful war theme). I am curious to know if you would like them!
For books that have romance in them but are not about the romance, I definitely recommend the Graceling trilogy (which I think I saw on the shelf behind you? haha) Its my favorite of those types of books. especially the second in the series :)
I'm sure this wasn't a video you were expecting from me... but I thought it would be fun 😂
BookswithEmilyFox Acceptance is the first step 😂
Greetings from Costa Rica! ✌🏽
I did do a double take when I saw the words romance next to your channel !! 🤣❤️ Absolutely LOVE Love Simon !!! ❤️ Xxx
BookswithEmilyFox this is so unexpected of you! I love it! Keep it up!
BookswithEmilyFox i have been waiting for this!
This was awesome Emily!! Great recommendations :)
"i feel like books pretend to be fantasy or scifi but theyre romance" oops thats the tea. im a sucker for romance tho if it's done well!! thanks for the recs!!
Ah but the key is "if it's done well"!! Too often its not haha
loving the yellow eyeshadow & nail polish 💅🏻 💛
Thank you! I just posted my Summer Faves on my beauty channel and the intro basically summarize my slight obsession with mustard 😂 ruclips.net/video/fQ4GVh-_nIc/видео.html
"Top romance books I hate the least" by Emily Fox
LMAO... close enough :P
I love all your videos! You have such unique opinions on books. Sometimes I got back and binge your old videos.
Emily: ”My favourite Romance Books”
Me: “Wait, what? Since when has Emily liked Romance novels?!” 😂😉
Right? But I think that's what makes it a good video! I usually don't like romance but these ones I did :P
Girl recommend some intense romantic suspense
I would recommend "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe". It treats it characters with love even when they make mistakes and just the whole book make me happy.
I am living for the eyes and matching nails look btw. Love the video as well
Thank you! I keep getting more and more mustard and my life... and I'm okay with it lol
I felt the same about the selection... So bad. Yet addicting.
Whenever I hear someone say “chick-lit” all I can think of is a bunch of tiny baby chickens running around, just me?😂
Zoe Powe it's not just you!!! 🤣🤣
*rolls eyes*
That's why I trust your reviews about these things. We seem to have the same point of view. I don't think that I hate-hate romance per se, it's just very annoying when it's done badly af + it takes over the whole plot.
That being said, I'm currently reading the Winner's Curse trilogy and loving it.
Same same same!!
"Apparently I am not completely made of rock, my heart is not completely dead" This is litearally me. Also, I love all the books in the Simonverse. I need to read the Remnant Chronicles sooooo badly!
Your makeup is inspiring me to do a yellow eyeshadow look
Mustard is the best! NYX Nude Matte shadow in Cougar is what I'm wearing! Super affordable and pigmented :D
I loved the Winner's Curse and Remnant Chronicles. I'm currently reading Mary E. Pearson's newest book Dance of Thieves which takes place in the same world as Remnant Chronicles series six years later and love when she mentions old characters!!
Thought I read this notification so wrong 😂
It was unexpected for sure lol
I am sorry this is sooooo obvious but I like "Pride and Prejudice". I cant help it jajajsj
VERY surprised (in a good way) to see this video from you! Love it. May or may not have purchased the Winners trilogy off book outlet while waiting for the bus this morning...
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Merci!

Are you talking about the romance between Malta and Reyn or Althea and Brashen?
+ the Robin Hobb books contain my favorite romantic relationship of all time. It even spans 60 years.
Robin Hobb was my jam in my teenage years. Very pg-13, imo.
BookswithEmilyFox If you don’t like Assassin’s Apprentice, don’t give up. Liveship Traders is SO MUCH better.
Althea and Brashen, but Malta and Reyn are a close second! I just love all of them! And I think the fact it's not heavy on the romance adds a lot to it. Because of it I felt as though every scene counted between the couples and it never distracted from the rest of the story

My favourite romance book has to be Great Expectations. It touches on all aspects of love. Falling in love, betreyal, disappointment and misery.
I am SHOOKETH!!! Did not expect this video at all. Literally did a double take to make sure it was actually you!
I really struggle with Romance for all the reasons you listed as well. Loved the video!
I read the Winner’s Trilogy because of you and LOVED it, and then, I started The Remnant chronicles also because of you and I’m loving it too! (Also, I read I’ll give you the sun by jandy nelson and fell completely in love too, lol, your recommendations are the best)

Have you read "The Poppy War"? 0 romance but trigger warnings for everything! Best fantasy book of 2018 though!
I don’t know if you already read it, but if you didn’t I recommend Call me by your name.
I’m not one to comment on looks because I feel like there’s so much more to a person than that but Emily you are so beautiful dude wtf. And I love your makeup.
Aw shush you're too sweet!
I don't really read romance, but a classic romance that I love is Pride and Prejudice.
I do want to pick up The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo though.
So glad the Winner's Trilogy made it to your list 💖 It's easily one of my faves. Excited to check out the other books on here as well!

Argh I love the romance in winner's curse. I love the whole trilogy. love love love love.
Honestly I have no idea but for some reason I liked it lol
I did start to resent the love triangle during the second book but there was enough political intrigue for me to continue!
I actually reread ACOMAF this year and i raised my rating. I realized that for a young adult romance, its probably the best that I've read.
If Emily is recommending romance books, these better be good 😂
Nooooo I warn everyone in the video that there's 0 guarantee here 😂
One of my favorite fantasy books with a romance is Grace Draven's Master of Crows. But then I like romance.... So be warned. Do you have a PO Box?
I love what I’ve read by Grace Draven. Easily some of my favorite reads... her writing just give me such a good feel. Do you have any recommendations of authors like her!?

I totally agree with the Sarah j Maas book YES GIRL and by the way I'm LIVING for your eyeshadow!!!
Am I one of the few that loves romance? Lol 🙊
Possibly on this channel lol I've mentioned how I feel about them so often that it might not be where romance loving people hang out :P
Lol I'm still here to hang! I've been slowly trying to get into sci-fi. But if you mention a book with romance you don't like I can go "wait I might like that one" 😂

Oh, had to stop reading about ethics to see this video.
Yes, I really wasn’t expecting, but I loved it. No, I don’t like romance as well, but sometimes it’s done right.
I’ve only read the Simon one, but I’d like to check on the others.

Also: you are ROCKING that yellow eyeshadow!
Oh that book has been on my TBR for a while I need to get it!
The third book was least favorite one but still pretty solid!
Thank you :)
OMG I LOVE all the books you mentioned! They're great!
I don‘t like romance books neither, but one of my favourite books ever is the time traveler‘s wife. Have your read it?
Omg I’m actually really intrigued to know why you aren’t happy with who Lia ended up with !!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo has been sitting on my list! Now I'm even more excited to read it lol. I feel like you might like The Rules of Civility.
I was JUST looking for a new romance book...how’d you know??
OMGGGGG i relate to this second hand embarrasment and cringe-athon when reading romance heavy books!!!!!! UR MY TWIN
Your accent is soo cute and that eyeshadow + nail combo is awesome 💛❤
Tell me there's a tutorial for this makeup look on your other channel! It's so liiiiiiit!
It's literally one shadow ;)
It's NYX Matte Nude in Cougar! Super affordable, blends like a dream and is super pigmented!
hahaha thanks! such a nice, simple summer look! =*
I've read all these books and compleetly adore them
I LOVE IT OFC HAHAHA especially the mustard nails x i will go read evelyn hugo now
The moment i saw the notification, i thought the books will not be more than 5 books. Then Again you mentioned that it is not recommendation video but merely your favourites , but will try some of these.
PS: Your eyes were clearly distracting in yellow but in a good way.
Yay - what a cool video idea! I kinda did a double take when I read the title haha.. I also get embarrassed for te characters generally when the female characters main goal in life is made to be to find a guy :(
They're the worst!! It's way too common in YA books :(
One book that I recomend is "las 3 bodas de Manolita" (the 3 marriages of Manolita, Almudena Grande).
I love that I’ve read all of those and totally agree with u !
That's such a good deal! Same!
I think its my favorite of your videos! sooo cute! And Ive watched almost all of them :)
Mine are
Sandra Hill- The Bewitched Viking
Catherine Coulter - Windham Legacy
Theodora Taylor - His One and Only
Currently reading book 2 of the Remnant Chronicles, and loving it! Thanks for the recomendation!
You don't like who she ended up with?! Now I'm worried :') (Though we may not even like the same one)
You might be okay with the ending... It just felt a bit incomplete to me!
makeup/nails. YESSSS!
I really enjoyed Jenn Bennett’s books .
“Alex, Approximately” and her other book “Starry Eyes”
Great video. I totally get your dislike of romance in general because I used to hate these books too. (Used to.) The fact that some romance books still won your heart definitely make them interesting recommendations.
You convinced me to read The Winner’s Curse❤️
You could check The girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy. It has a very well done romance (one of my favourites)
I tend to avoid romance so "romance + classic" usually wouldn't be on my radar lol
I did like Pride and Prejudice but I tend to prefer the BBC series over the book!
BookswithEmilyFox mmm personally I prefer Persuation over Pride and Prejudice. The heroin is 27 and very mature.
Yes and the BBC movie for Persuation is very good. The end is a little cringy though hehe, which is not the case in the book.
It's on my shelf so I'll need to get to it :)
BookswithEmilyFox I would love to watch what u thought of it 😍😍😍 😘
My favorites are P.S.
I'm really not mad at it 🤔🤣
J'adore ton nouveau rythme de upload de vidéos sur cette chaîne tu me donnes toujours envie de lire plus mais surtout d'utiliser mon esprit critique avec ce que je lis! Bisous de la Belgique ❤
Hellraiky x omg I am also belgian hihi
Je me disais que ca serait bien de balancer un peu toute la haine que je donne aux livres romantiques 😂
Marie Van Loon omg de où? Van waar ??
Ik woon dicht bij Brussel 😊
Jij?
I adore Jane Eyre! I tried reading My Plain Jane and hated it because they flattened the romance.
I’m a huge enemies to lovers fan. 😍
You have to read The Queen of the Tearling, lots of intrigue there.
It’s an amazing story and I think you’ll love it 💕
Oh I loved the movie of it! Have you seen it? Is the book better?
BookswithEmilyFox no I didn’t see the movie so I can’t judge but I think that books are always better than movies 👌 I guess if you liked the story in the movie you’ll absolutely love it in the book
Everyone had a couple of guilty pleasures 😃
So true!
*Omg one of the first comments I must be your greatest fan*
It's really love that thing appearing in these Brooks?
The foxhole court trilogy is really good😍
Yaaaas!! Sarah J Maas is amazing 💜 the Throne of Glass series is my ult fave
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Daughter of Smoke and Bone! The first book is very romance heavy, the others have that love element but there is a big plot (a wonderful, wonderful war theme). I am curious to know if you would like them!
There for a second I thought it was April Fool's day
I totally should have posted it on AF's day haha
For books that have romance in them but are not about the romance, I definitely recommend the Graceling trilogy (which I think I saw on the shelf behind you? haha) Its my favorite of those types of books. especially the second in the series :)
