I recommend ‘the summer I turned pretty’ by Jenny Han (the author of to all the boys I’ve ever loved before). It’s part of a trilogy and it’s about a girl who goes to live at her moms friends beach house for the summer and her moms friend has 2 cute sons....

You're literally the only video I could find that did recommend some romances that I hadn't already seen a million times before! Allelujah, girl! I did already read Alex, Approximately AND Second Chance Summer, and they deserve the place on this list!!! My two fave Kasie Wests are The Distance Between Us and On The Fence! I'm excited about Stay Sweet, (omg) I Love You? and Until Friday Nights!!!!! Thank you for the recs!

two days ago i went to the bookstore and had a stack of 7 books i wanted to buy, two were kasie west books that u reommended, i read first chapter of the distance between us and it was really fun, main character was super sarcastic and funny. also read first chapter of stay sweet and also pretty good .. i didnt buy all the books only bought save the date bc it was signed. from this list ive read by your side and alex aproximately and loved them both
the did I mention I love you trilogy and the bad boys girl trilogy are the fucking bombest ya romance books

I highly recommend the YA book Stolen by Lucy Christopher. I'm not sure if it's really accurate to call it a romance YA book. But it does contain really complicated and messed up elements of love. I first read it in 2009 when it was released and have read it so many times. I hadn't read it for a while until recently. And it is such an amazing book. It's a standalone at the moment. The author has always talked about doing a sequel and that the movie rights for the book have been sold, but nothing seems to have come from either, and it's been quite a few years. But it is an amazing book. Very thought provoking, with seriously compelling characters. It's such an emotional rollercoaster type of book. And it seriously affected me. I thoroughly recommend it.
Books I suggest..... any Susan Colasanti books. They are so cute I love them all, #1 suggestion from her books would be Something Like Fate.

Btw : I have a love hate relationship with DIMILY. Like, I love the trilogy (especially because of Tyler), but I hated Eden in the first book, I though she was so incoherent as a character. Really happy she changed so much in a year ! (Second book)

Oooooh yes! I discovered Stay Sweet this past year and absolutely loved it! I recommend it to people sometimes and no one has ever heard of it! It was so sweet and heartfelt and the perfect summer read.
