Didn't read the Addicted series but do feel the same way about the Like Us.... am I up to date with the series yes I am.. I hated all characters but two.. the only thing that kept me going were the narrators two of my favorites....
So I wasn't into the first 2 book from the addicted series but the rest of the series i love and the Calloway Sisters series that is amazing. You learn more about the characters as the series continues and you start to root for them. Please give it another try, the series becomes a thousand times better!
Love the earrings, they're so cute!! I also really can't get into books if I can't sympathize with the characters. It kills my reading mood in like 2 secs
I know there’s a lot of super popular reverse harems but I read the Saint View High series and really enjoyed it!!! Also, a series that gives off those vibes but technically isn’t RH…boys of Brayshaw. SO GOOD.
Okay I didn’t like Sicko Either and found The elite Kings club a hit and a miss ( first 3 books were meh but the last 4 books were fantastic, especially SANCTE DIABOLI PT1&2) HOWEVERRR the midnight mayhem series! The books in that series were phenomenal! Dark romance with a touch of fantasy! I read it 6 months ago and I subconsciously always compare the midnight mayhem series to every dark romance book! Its amazing and I can’t wait for Amo to release the third book (MMF) Gives me American horror story vibes but sexy and way more spicy! Highly highly recommend this series!
A reverse harem book that I really liked is “the secret girl”, you should read the sinopsis, but I’m just gonna say that is about a girl who goes to a high school that is only for boys, so she has to dress like a guy and there’s a mystery surrounding the school, is so catching and funny, check it out!!
Personally, cheating is my tw, I don’t like it on my romance books, even if it’s not between the h/H. I don’t believe it’s romantic when a relationship stars that way, so I avoid those books like the plague! Lol
oh my goodness!! does that mean I started off with the wrong foot with Abbi Glines? I did start with that series, I couldn't (for some reason I don't remember) get past the first one so I also didn't give her another chance to read another one of her books, I always hear you talk about her books tho but I was hesitant haha thanks for your reviews!! :)
OMG I felt the same way about The Vincent Brothers/Boys. I love all of Abbi's other books but these ones are just so strange. I found the first book put a ridiculous amount of emphasis on who was the good boy vs the bad boy to the point where that was their entire personality. And the girl's reasons for thinking she wasn't good enough for the "good boy" were completely ridiculous. Like because she didn't want to return her cart to the cart return in the mall parking lot she wasn't worthy of him??? Idk the whole thing just seemed weird to me.
I really liked Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins! It's an enemies to lovers office romance. I think its super underrated but definitely worth the read.
and im pretty sure i recommended Complicated Hearts and you hated it... *BUT* for a reverse harem that is pretty plot heavy as well as romance is Sunshine and Bullets by Coralee June. it’s dual timeline with some mystery and mafia elements, it was the first rh i had ever read now im obsessed.
It’s so funny everyone says that and I felt the absolute opposite. I actually loved the first few books and by the fourth and fifth I was so bored. Nothing really happens and I felt like every page was the same. But I loved the first one which most people don’t like as much. 🤷♀️
I really hated Verity and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover because the cheating was done poorly and couldn’t stand the hypocrisy of the characters. I like her other books but definitely not those. All Your Perfects was okay but still wasn’t a fan of that either.
Shocked about Laura hating The Vincent Boys! Hahaha I hated the female lead in that book, but Beau was one of my first book boyfriends. I haven’t re-read it, but I have a feeling it doesn’t hold up like it used to.
I’ve had the opposite happen, I started reading a book yesterday I found randomly on kindle unlimited thinking it would be crap but I’m obsessed and I’ve finished the first one in a day and I’m already onto the second one of the trilogy now. It’s Degradation by Stylo Fantome!
I love Amo Jones but felt the same way about Sicko, my least favorite of hers. But definitely read the Midnight Mayhem series! Soo good! I believe the 3rd book will be MMF! 🙊 And same with T L Swan! Always the same arrogant rich men. 🙄 And also same with Vandal, least favorite of the series lol 😵
Same I read the blurb for sicko and it seemed interesting. But when I started reading it, the beginning was good but I couldn't get into it after that and just finished it for the sake of it. I think that has always been my issue with Amo Jones for me most of her books are just hits and misses. You can either get a very good book for example the Sancte Diaboli parts but then their are the silver swan books in the same series which just drag on and on for ages.
I read Love Unexpected by Q.B Tyler like last year and I don't know if I hate the book or not, but I certainly don't support the step-father, step-daughter relationship. I love to read steamy forbidden books but this one is just too much for me. I've read her other books and I really liked them. Unconditional is one of my all time favs.
Have you read the Alethea Romig series “Consequences”? Or her series “Infidelity” (it’s not what you think). I never see anyone talking about her on book tube and I love her writing. Her plot twists are INSANE! Would be interested to see if you like them, because you and I seem to like and dislike a lot of the same books.
I felt the same way about Sicko!! I was just like 'why are you all doing this right now?' It started really good and the writing was good but Dark romances for me should connect more deeply And I did'nt feel this one at all. And for Reverse Harem, maybe try brayshaw high series by meagan brandy and Rydeville elite by siobhan davis (first 3 books of both) 👏❤️
A series I hated was Tangled by Emma Chase. To start off I read this series when I was 12 and had no business reading it. But now that I'm older I've thought about the book and realized that the characters were super annoying. I could write a three page essay and it still wouldn't be enough to describe my hate towards the characters.
Always love your videos! IF you can....u should continue with the Addicted series, it gets so much better. In saying that though, the Like Us series (which follows all of the characters kids from the Addicted series) is SO much better! You should give it a try ☺

Our way! I read in a day and I HATED! The way they describe sexually just gets worse, at the end she leaves him and 6 months later they just get back together and he says he always been straight! I HATED how he treated her, she was so in love with him that she never notices how shifty he was!
Hey Laura do you think you could do kinda like a guide to Saffron Kent’s books? Or just other authors that have a huge list of books? Because I’ve read two of her books and they just weren’t for me but I’m not sure if it was the plot or the writing and I know you really like her so I trust your judgment. But one book I read recently and didn’t like was ‘Even when you lie to me’ by Jessica Alcott. It had the same problem you had where the ending made the whole story pointless and just a waste of time.
I didn't like Birthday Girl. At first, I loved it but then after a while, I started rethinking and I didn't like the way the age gap relationship was portrayed. I feel like it could've been portrayed in a more positive light. Throughout the book, Jordan kept trying to prove to Pike that she was mature, however in doing so she was just acting more childish because quite frankly she still is a child. For example (warning spoilers) when Caleb found out about her and Pike she just wouldn't use her head and wasn't understanding that her relationship with Pike was going to affect other people too. She was just thinking of herself.
I agree, I did not like: Thoughtless Addicted to You (I could not get past the first.) I did not like Fragile Longing by Cora Reilly. (Review on Goodreads.)
