PERFECT- having to listen to someone's baby screaming their lungs out for an 8 hour flight- That's why I fly first class as often as possible because you're always gifted with your own personal TV and headphones
I think they may be flying to other destinations through Singapore airlines, so the flight passes through singapore first, before they take other connecting flights
On the landing I was like: "Wow, the pilot really knows how to bring down such a big heavy plane smooth as silk." And then the apocalyptic shaking began and I was like: "OH! NOW it's touching the ground!". Was a pretty slow descent.
@@wsid786 The pilots have set climb power. The takeoff was derated (lower thrust), but once the aircraft is off the ground, more thrust is required to climb all the way to altitude.
Right so, I think wen the plane reaches into a cruise altitude , pilot cuts back on the power . , full power only wen climbing . Flaps r in up right position 2..
Now that I have 2 young kids, I know why - take off and landing are painful on their ears. They don't know how to adjust them. It stresses me out knowing it annoys other people, but I hope they understand. If it was the whole flight, then I can understand their frustration.
I remember flying over Sidney on the same path decades ago. It was on a big top when Singapore airlines just got them on a flight from CHC to SIN. Shortly after Sidney the turbulence started and lasted the whole way across Australia. Even some of the flight attendants were getting sick lol. I loved it.
did someone notice that after revving up the engines at take-off, they looked like they wanted to go on their own? luckily they are attached to the wings lol :)))
Wow. So cool that from about 6:35 you fly high altitude above Sydney. It's my hometown so any time I've flown above Sydney, it's either because the plane taking off from Sydney, or landing there. not a cruising altitude fly by.
@@smileychess - There is no doubt that they must feel something different going on during a powerful takeoff, not to mention the popping of ears (a common annoyance with young kids)
@TheLatiosnlatias02 how is the age of the comment relevant, if you don't mind my asking? ...maybe you have changed your outlook in the interim (?)...(it is the only thing that i can think of that could play a bearing on any relevance that the age of the comment might have)..
@TheLatiosnlatias02 the biggest curiousity here is that your reply to me chastised me for replying to your 3yr old comment and now you can't let go of it nor can you care to reply to my speculating as to why you would feel that replying to a 3yr old comment is unreasonable (excepting unless your views have changed in the interim -i would guess that they haven't, given your further display of utter pettiness of mind).
For those of you complaining about babies and kids crying its because their ears are more sensitive than an adults to changes in pressure and as they don't have the language skills to convey this they simply cry.
To all the "high water people" The tide is the same 1/4 of the earth away, on this flight only. I took a flight same week, to Greenland (yes, it took 4 days) and NO difference between tides from 52 years ago. The same flight, but then it took a month longer.
@@protyreus That was a nice overhead view of Sydney. I'm just a little curious on why the flight path went over Sydney when flying from Auckland to Singapore? It seems sort of out of the way from even being a little bit of a curved flight route. I know that flight routes are usually curved a little bit and not in a straight line, but the curve seems to be way more than usually for the Auckland - Singapore route to fly over Sydney.
the cool thing is that when you think about it, the plane doesnt look like its going fast, but in reality you do the math and it can clear about 3km in 1 min, which means every second it is going around 50m
Yep, always look at a static piece of the plane (wing) and compare that to how much ground passes it, and one gets an impression of its actual speed. (Perspective can be deceiving.) On my first flight I found the takeoff especially exciting because looking out the window gave an impression of a ground speed higher than I had ever traveled before. (Oddly, before that flight I had never watched a video about one, so it was a completely new experience. The acceleration g-forces were mildly pleasant. And due to TV I was of course unpleasantly surprised by the cabin noise level.) Also, regarding time efficiency of air travel, while all the procedure at the airport and the taxi and such make it seem horribly inefficient, one has to weigh it against the likeliness of road congestion when traveling by car. And by train... well, that has its complications, too.
Isn't it amazing that the baby is louder than 4 Trent 900 engins at takeoff thrust.
Babies on the flights are the worst. Luckilly they are usually not present in better classes like premium economy or B-class.

@@Izmael1310 yeah but you still hear them, even with AirPods Pros.
Just give them some xanax or Alcohol ;)
Those engines are singing like a choir of angels that lifts them up.....Lovely!
@TheLatiosnlatias02 Me too.
What's amazing to me is that you could fill an A-380 with enough people who want to fly from Auckland to Singapore.
I think they may be flying to other destinations through Singapore airlines, so the flight passes through singapore first, before they take other connecting flights
oooh !!! that is one off the most smooth take offs I 've seen!!!
On the landing I was like: "Wow, the pilot really knows how to bring down such a big heavy plane smooth as silk." And then the apocalyptic shaking began and I was like: "OH! NOW it's touching the ground!". Was a pretty slow descent.
Looked like a pretty leisurely take-off run! Wasn't sure if the pilot was going to stop at Starbucks for a coffee on the way to V2.
Push too much throttle you burn more fuel. Too much is going to be a rough takeoff… a lot shaking and vibrating. Keep it smooth 😎
I REALLY LOVE THE ENGINE SOUND
Seth sit Jasper Merla Good ol rolls royce Trent 900 engines
TheLatiosnlatias02 especially on the Mad dog 80s
The sound of those Trent 900s ORGASMIC :D
dang dude, at the beginning, i thought it's gonna drive to Singapore on the ground.
Th3reN Ahahaha lmao that one cracked me up
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 tht runway is long gaaaad
It's an A380, it needs extra running speed to get off the ground, and can't lift-off as steeply as smaller less heavy aircrafts
Very nicely done! One of the finest I have seen in this category!!!
I love how the thrust starts increasing at 3:18
Yeah why?
@@wsid786 The pilots have set climb power. The takeoff was derated (lower thrust), but once the aircraft is off the ground, more thrust is required to climb all the way to altitude.

Those things always look like they're gonna run out of runway on takeoff, and man are those landings hard. Ka-wham!
Love the Engine sound in flight
Beautiful scenery.....excellent take off....he took you up in a hurry....
Watching the weight transfer to the wings as they flex upwards is transfixing.
Another great show. Watching these videos is like reading a good book they just take you away to a different world a different time I love them
Their should be a rule that all children have to fly in the luggage compartment.
Says the guy with no kids
@@jace1113 oh no, I have kids and trust me luggage compartment, trunk of a car.
Lol
Theirs gonna be a day when a child's med is invented for flying and it just might be appoved. Imagine giving your child two Betty's and a Vilma ? Lol.
I've read somewhere Trent 900's @ takeoff thrust suck in 1.2 tons of air per second
There's ALWAYS some crying/screaming kid or baby!
Now that I have 2 young kids, I know why - take off and landing are painful on their ears. They don't know how to adjust them. It stresses me out knowing it annoys other people, but I hope they understand. If it was the whole flight, then I can understand their frustration.
(I really dislike it!)
Jonathon Kearney Aye. if there's no kid crying in the background, most likely it's a fake flight video... lol.
If men could marry a plane engine there wouldn't be any crying kids.
No kids either, ha ha ha!!
Beautiful footage, amazing engine sound. Hope you can have the camera closer to the window next time
That was one smooth quiet flight for such a big aircraft.
man i love these videos! they are soo cool and will never get boring
That is a beautiful scene where the wings take over...thanks to the engines...and say...thanks for the energy...keep it up...I'll take it from here!
The aerial shot of Sydney is fantastic
Amazing plane and video.Thank you for sharing.

why airbus cabins are so noisy when it is on the ground? so much plastics and windows noises...

Singapore was my first A380 flight Auck to Sydney. 2nd was Emirates Auck to Sydney. Smoothest ride ever both times.
do you go there for weekend shopping sprees or?
Love the sound of those engines.
4x Rolls-Royce RB211-Trent 977E-84 i believe
Love the engine noise
I also love the baby whining. It had a contagious effect on the comment section, haha.

nice ocean view!
I think i was on the same flight as you! I flew mid march 2017😁what a coincidence i saw this vid
What's more beautiful, the A380 or NZ? Choices choices.
Looked a bit of a bumpy landing in Singapore . But an excellent video .
I feel the kid's pain. Same thing happened to me when I was a child. My ears hurt the whole time.
Supparrrrbbbbb 👌👌👌
Some good views, but what city were you overflying 6:37 - 9:00 ?
who else likes the A380-841’s more than the A380-861’s ?(Singapore uses 841 and emirates uses 861)
Emirates uses 842 too
A380-842 sound the same as -841
amazing video! I could only hope to get footage as good as that! I wish you showed the red center of Australia, but apart from that it was flawless!

I cant believe the thumbnail scenery is real
I like this aircraft too, it will fit as a successor to the Boeing E-4B "Doomsday Plane".

I would just like to add that any responsibility lies with the parents for letting young kids fly.
The plane was still on the ground!
+phillip angell thanks for pointing this out!
Don't worry, Those noisy kids will calm down once they smell my used socks.
Yes, but the cabin is pressurized BEFORE the plane takes off.
Awesome view of Sydney loved it! (;
That was just a Normal take off......! What Amazing was that.....??
It takes too long to lift, compare to 747 , grand dad.
hello there mate I kinda have a simple question ..the landing was as harsh and loud as it sounds?thanks
Everyone I know who has flown on an A380 says the landings are rough as hell. It’s like being inside a small building falling out of the sky haha.
Sad there going to retire these planes soon
Wow that was some loooooong take off.Great video. What city was that, that just dont seem to end. I didnt know NZ had such huge cities.
Totaly UN-amazing!

Auckland is so bootifull
6:37 min is Sydney
What was the seat number? Curious to know.... Thanks
Nice view from first class
What's up with the white balance after touch down?
Amazing Beauty. Thanks🌿
Wonderful engine
That is the longest takeoff
Is that a Sydney at 7:20?
How much did this seat cost?
its a heavy one. slow on the up take
Where did you sit (what seat number)?
That is a seriously long runway
Which seat were you seated in? :)
I would guess suite 4K.
Number of freight ships down below before landing its scary.Cold reminder that EVERYTHING is made there.
