As a Boise State fan I’m definitely salty they cancelled our series against each other so then they can schedule more cupcakes because they don’t want a loss to a G5 school every year lol the series is 8-5 towards Boise State
@scottyclayton2501 rumor was Dickey wasn't so innocent in that entire deal either tho.. supposedly JD was trying skate around some previous agreed on stipulations.. who knows tho 🤷
Boise has actually played a pretty good schedule this year. At Georgia Southern who is top in their conference, at Oregon which was a very close loss, at UNLV who should have been ranked when they played, wazzu only loss is to Boise, at Hawaii which is always weird. Other teams on schedule are just good to average admittedly but even P4 teams play multiple average teams and only have a few tough games in any season. If Boise wins out and BYU doesn’t go undefeated then they should get the first round bye over B12 champion.
Overall, I think you do an excellent job in your thoughts on Boise State, however I want to give more context because I think it's important. -- With the UNLV game, it's important to note that Boise State used the last 8 minutes of game clock to win that game. -- With the Oregon game, anyone that watched that game knows Boise State for the most part outplayed Oregon (we can debate if they played today what the score would be) Now, looking at Boise State's remaining schedule -- vs Nevada -- at San Jose State -- at Wyoming -- vs Oregon State Not the most intimidating schedule out there however, with Nevada you have a rivalry game to which you can throw records out the door, on top of that you have a HC who was passed on by Boise State (per reports) twice. A little extra motivation there, it is on the Blue which should play into Boise State's favor. Road game at San Jose State, seems rather simple especially with the QB "issues" the Spartans are having, however the one thing SJSU does well that has been an Achillies heel for Boise State is they can throw the ball. Not to mention SJSU almost won in Boise (and probably should have beaten Boise State) last year, throw on top of this possibly could be the first time since Boise State has been ranked in the top 10 since Kellen Moore, does the team start feeling the pressure of maybe getting that first round bye/and the national ranking. Then you have that tricky game at Wyoming, playing in altitude not an easy task and all of a sudden Wyoming has a QB who can throw the ball. Finally, ending with Oregon State, on paper the Broncos talent wise probably matchup overall with Oregon State, but it's another rivalry game, youll have a good crowd, but an early kick (currently scheduled for 10 am mountain time) on a short week coming back from the altitude with a Beavers team who may need the W to get to a bowl game. Then we get to a probable conference title game (need like 5 things to happen this week to lock up a spot) but Colorado State or UNLV the most likely candidates, UNLV especially would have a lot on the line if they run the table, Colorado State throws the ball well, but we'll see how they look over the next couple of weeks as they figure out their "identity" following their top WR having a season ending injury. As for the Selection Committee and the Big 12. I don't think it's a slam dunk that only BYU is ranked ahead of Boise State tomorrow night. I, also believe (hope I'm wrong) Boise State will be lower by 4-6 spots than they are in the AP Poll, I also think there's a Deion effect for Colorado. So, looking at the AP Poll you have BYU, Iowa State, Kansas State and Colorado in the AP Poll. BYU: 3, possibly 4 tough games; at Utah rivalry game, at Arizona State won't be easy, vs Kansas (Jayhawks might be the most unlucky team in CFB), vs Houston (Cougars turning a corner??) Iowa State: 3 tricky games, 1 tough game: at Kansas, vs Cincinnati, at Utah, vs Kansas State Kansas State: easiest remaining of these 4 teams, 2 home games, and then an elimination game at Iowa State Colorado: 2 tough road games, 2 winnable home games, at Texas Tech, vs Utah, at Kansas, vs Oklahoma State I think it's very possible that Boise State checks in behind both BYU and Iowa State, and not by lets say a spot. I could see BYU being 11th or 12th, and Iowa State directly behind them, with Boise State 16th and Colorado 17th or 18th. I'll end it here. The scenario, I'd be interested to hear you talk about more would be the ACC. Yes, rn Miami (FL) is clear of Boise State, and I'm willing to say SMU will be ranked ahead of Boise State as well. Clemson will be ranked, but maybe not that close to Boise State (and the Tigers have two tough road games, and the rivalry with South Carolina to end the year). If Miami loses they will plummet.
SDSU and UNLV limited Jeanty, if you could call it that, which is fine. Madsen threw for over 300 yards and earned MW Player of the Week. Boise State is not just Jeanty.
Say Utah beats byu(hopefully they will) and byu loses another game but wins the big 12 champ and Boise state wins out then Boise would prolly get the 4 seed
Yes, that game was Awesome. BSU and a couple of no names (at the time) teams a few years later started to turn heads. I think the big conferences got a bit spooked and started to change how the system was being handled. They started refusing to play schools like BSU, Utah, BYU, Huston, SMU.... Ect.....
They literally go back to Autzen in 2026...... Also do you seriously get the impression that Boise is afraid to play Oregon? It wasnt BSU who cancelled on the game in 2025......
@ I’m talking about this years teams replaying. Oregon is much improved from week 2 and I think it would be a much different game. I never suggested Boise was scared or anything else derogatory. No need to be a Dick.
Imagine a Boise State vs BYU playoff matchup in Boise or Provo. Both places would be crazy atmospheres. The fans hate each other
only the dumb fans hate each other. I would say most respect each other.

@ we will never know but what I do know is that Boise State vs BYU would be a college game day candidate if it were played any week this year
Cam Camper* is a DAWG. Beautiful time to be a Boise fan
As a Boise State fan I am an Oregon Fan this year for sure. We are in it together.
they are a top ten team, scared the ducks for sure, quack
There is no together. lol
No. Fuck the Ducks... always and forever.
If boise would've won that game vs Oregon they'd be top 5 rn
Severe doubt.... bro every year they beat Oregon they never got top 5 and those teams statistically outclass 2024 BSU and it even close.....
What if John Smith was real

Not the most intimidating schedule out there however, with Nevada you have a rivalry game to which you can throw records out the door, on top of that you have a HC who was passed on by Boise State (per reports) twice. When I saw the rankings yesterday and Boise just below BYU I thought the same thing
What about Army at 13-0 winning the AAC? Army is currently #18.
The home playoff game will change college football! Every team will absolutely want one!
SDSU and UNLV limited Jeanty, if you could call it that, which is fine. Madsen threw for over 300 yards and earned MW Player of the Week. Boise State is not just Jeanty.
Best they can do is get in. There'd have to be a landslide of losing by too many teams for 1-loss BSU to get a bye.
Justice for what the fuck. BSzu wind out they should be top 8. Easy😊
Don’t the power 4 conference champs get the byes ?
no, just the four top ranked conference champions. if Boise is ranked over BYU, Boise gets the bye and BYU gets the fifth spot.
No but I think they get their champion in the playoffs no matter what tho
@@casongarrettgotcha I wasn’t sure on that.

I would love to play defensive line for Oregon st
how about UNLV?
@lockoncillegesports this is the team that beat Oklahoma on the Statue of Liberty play that opened up the playoff discussion in the first place

Theyve done a lot more since then..... And no technically the G5 acceptance started with MWC Utah in 2004 absolutely destroying ACC Champ Pitt.
@@MattBuild4 and Utah (MWC at the time) beating Bama in the Sugar bowl was frosting on the cake.
Bring BSU back to Eugene. Oregon is a much different team than it was week 2. Miami is my #2 choice. Go Ducks🟡🟢
Literally haven't gotten any better at stopping the run...
Boise would love a rematch with Oregon.
@@208flatheads3 ask Ohio State about that.
