    This journey is absolutely transformative. Why? Because for most black women, we’ve hid behind perms, wigs, weave, and so many other things that we’ve lost touch with who we actually are. The beauty we inherently have. I’m looking forward to the day it will be absolutely normal for little black girls to have long hair along with a self-esteem that embraces the natural texture, density of their hair. God gave women…long hair as her glory. And black women were NOT left out of that equation. All of us women, who desire long hair, can enter their long hair era. We CAN. If I had known how to maintain my hair from the moment I could, it would be to my ankles…TODAY. You Lindsay are proof and the many other women here on RUclips with long natural hair. I’m here for it ❤❤❤
    I will add, it’s okay if you’re a woman with fine, low density natural hair. There is nothing wrong with not having THICK hair. Imagine how boring the world would be if everybody looked the same.

      I couldn't agree more! And oh yes absolutely... everyone can't have the same density even though density can be enhanced. The beauty is in the fact that we get to be beautiful wearing our Unique Natural Hair 😊. Thank you so much for sharing...I appreciate you!

    I agree. Many women are not willing to put in the work. It takes patience and perseverance. I lost half of my hair in November 2021 due to menopause. I started diy hair masks taught by a couple of RUclips hair gurus. It took me 18 months to see the new growth. 2 years in, my hair is thriving. But I religiously treated my hair on a weekly basis. March 2024 l changed my regimen to a low manipulation one. Thanks for all your great advice. You are so right! ❤

I will explore wearing my hair out more (not in a head wrap) yet still in a protective style. • @lindsaychrisharmony
      @lindsaychrisharmony  Месяц назад +1

      For baldness cases, that are not as a result of a "health condition", there was a point when those follicles that later turn out "dead" could have been saved...if the person started at the early stages to seek help. Cos if one doesn't take the situation seriously and then the follicles die(that's where the hairs grow from)...there is nothing that can be done...except for a hair transplant. It takes a lot of commitment to follow it up in the very early stages... dermatologist/tricologist appointments, staying consistent with using products that help etc..

    • @lindsaychrisharmony
      @lindsaychrisharmony  Месяц назад +2

      Type 4 Hair regimen may not apply to you because of the "complete" difference in curl pattern. For your hair type, moisture travels down from the scalp to hair strands faster than it does for us ...so you may not need the heavy butter(sealants) that type 4 uses. A sulphate free shampoo, Co wash(interchangeably), leave in Conditioner, and light weight oil. You guys use more of styling products than we do...like mousse, water and leave in spray to refresh your curls within the week(as you guys wear more of curly styles...you don't do much of protective Styling), or use a curl refreshing spray. Wash day is mostly once a week..unless your hair tells you otherwise. Deep condition once a week...then use Leave in, oil and any other styling product you have. These are the basics for all types 2 and 3a hair. You have to listen to your hair see if there is any part you need to do differently. As for the color of your hair...I don't advice using chemicals to alter the color...it might cause more damage.
