    As you may have noticed I'm still too busy to make WLtoys A252 review. So here's this week's video.
    Let's just say this is a part of "Build Vlog" of my WLtoys K989 budget touring car project.

    I know this is a common question. Would it fit the WLToys 969? especially the sides and front mount.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 года назад

      Yes, it will. It's the same car after all. You might have to trim the side clips a bit depending on the motor, gear ratio (how far in the motor) and the battery you use.

    Where can we buy those kind of body clips ? I have broken one of mine 🥺 on narrow 94mm L body 😭

      Unfortunately the body clips are not sold separately from Kyosho. You can tray and ask someone to 3D print them for you.

    Do white bodies come with the manufacture badges included?
    like Honda/type R badges? or is there just a hole where the badge should be?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 года назад +1

      If there's a hole, there'll be a badge for that. However they don't supply decals so some labels will be missing.

      @BeaversHobby  3 года назад +1

      @@SMKSPUD I haven't got that kit yet so I really don't know. Worse case scenario you'll have to find a decal for the badges. Still, Subaru badge is in multicolour not a stamp like GT-R so a decal will do a better job anyway. Ask Garage Hiro if they can supply a decal for it.

    Hi beaver can you recommend a good glue for working on bodys? ✌

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 года назад +1

      For side clips I use hot glue gun to stick them in so I can re-adjust them later. For component I use either standard UHU or Hart for plastic model. They took a while to set but after that they both are pretty much solid.

    Does this need the mod to lower the shock towers and shock bodys or just put the nose on and mount to the chassis?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 лет назад +1

      No, you don't need to mod the car. Just put the front lip on and it works. However you'l have to shave wheel arches off a bit so the wheels and turn and suspension can fully work. Which is much easier than moving shock tower.

    I don’t know why Kyosho pre-mounts them and leaves such a large gap in rear

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 года назад +1

      If you buy a finished body or ASC it will come pre-assembled and the mounting position will work with all the car with this mounting system providing you got the correct wheelbase.
      If there's large gap between body mount and rear wheel arches then the body has longer wheelbase than the car. Try removing rear wheels and put the front mount in first then put the body in, you'll see that all clips are in the correct place.
      Check wheelbase of each body here.

    I'm probably the only one who will ask this but - is the Kyosho Mini-Z Prius compatible with the K989/K969? What wheel offset will it need?
    If not, what other bodies from rcmart.com would you recommend?
    - Thanks

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 года назад +1

      Yes, Prius will fit. You'll need 0mm offset narrow wheels for the whole car. However it'll be a bit tight so you'll have to shave wheel arches off a bit for better access.
      Prius is exactly like Civic, it'll come with 1.5mm offset wheels which will stick out when using with WLtoys so you'll have to get new wheels with 0mm offset.
      If you are on RCmart, look for PN Racing wheels for Mini-Z AWD. They got BBS pattern and it looks good on any car.

      @@chrisrogers6811 The description said 4 narrow so I think 1 set is enough. Apart from body, wheels & tyres you can take a look at grip tyres too if you want.
