I've had one for years so much fun made it two wheel drift there are loads of parts on eBay brushless motor & metal upgrade ect

The alloy parts did not fit, Kev had to rig them to fit

These are a bargain. I have a wtoys helicopter (actually I have two of the same model), it is one of five helicopters I have and is by far the most fun to fly. Wtoys are really good for their price. I am really tempted to get one of these for myself and my son.

This is in my opinion the best RC car money can buy, period. They look great (apart from the typical wierd wltoys livery), they are fast, cheap as chips, they handle as well as 1/10th scale rally cars and are practically INDESTRUCTABLE and otherwise ridicously easy to repair. Although tiny, these things are true skate park monsters and will literally drive up walls. Already got three of em. Simply awesome🤩
Do you think these would be good for my Children's entertainment business ? I do nerf wars but want to add something new for 2024. How long does it take to charge and how long is run time. I'd appreciate your feedback .

Love the stunt roll at start. Like the micro rc any smaller my eyes are like marbles bouncing around.
I've got this one and the one with the porsche body (which looks great), they are great fun for the money and go well on our home made track......fun for all ages and no stress about kids crashing them as all the parts are cheap. I put the wider wheels on and it gives a bit more traction.
I think the Porsche will be my next purchase
We got two of the 1/24th scale wltoys over the holidays. Little bigger, I thought they would be better over carpet. Not many upgrades, but the spares are easily available, already have parts coming for one, lol. BUT holy moly they're fast, almost 20mph. Unfortunately can't turn down the throttle, so kids gotta figure that out, it's good for them tho. Set up a track on carpet with rolled up blankets as the track borders instead of slamming into harder furniture and walls. It's pretty fun for indoor stuff. If you've got hard floors these smaller scale cars would be a blast. I thought about setting up a tape outline track on our concrete basement floor, and then having a rug to cover it but that can roll up easily enough. Watching you with the smaller ones are making me think I'm gonna be getting them too! Thanks for the vid!

I have this, with a carbon fiber chassis and upgrades. I have bat's from drones that put some extra go-fast in her, better rims, tyres, and shocks, etc. There are a few things to do that make it better, but stock they're pretty impressive little buggers. Cheers!
Brilliant little thing ! I put some staggered mini Z rims and LF1 tyres on mine and it’s been a brilliant drift car in the showroom at work over the quiet period
My first one was k979, then I got the K989 and finally the K969. My favourite K979 with big tyre of p929, mini buggy . They are all brilliant for indoor use, much more fun than anything else that I have got from kyosho, Tamiya, or Losi.
Which one should i get the k989 or the k969. I want one for the drifting but they both have seem to pretty similar, and the k989 seems to have a taller back body mount, can you lower it?
@@fearlessmemes6678 K989 is more more flexible, but if you can both ! And get different rims and tyres for extra fun

@@TomleyRC It is! Just got it delivery, drives on the floor and carpet just fine. Pup hasn't yet tried destroying it, just chases it, and I chase him back. This thing has some pep for the size!
I put the tires and wheels off my orlandoo on mine, makes it a bit more controllable and more clearance.

Glad you made this video...I just ordered a K.I.T.T car ( not RC but diecast metal) and was debating on trying to do an RC conversion....this model looks like it would make the ideal donor vehicle for steering/ rear power etc...think I’ll get this now...worst case, it won’t fit, but least I have another decent small size RC I can take on holiday once this COVID-19 rubbish is all over. 😂👍

I've had the 12428 for 12 to 18 months, and the k989 for about 2, and I didn't know this until now, I tested this transmitter swap and it's better... why was I this ignorant? Lmao.

You should take it apart. I watched a video that state it shouldn't come to a sudden stop like that that, and if it does it has some binding in the drivetrain. Apparently it can strip things easily if left this way.

Hello! These RCs are a cult classic in my opinion. Kyosho Mini Z awd drift wheels and tires fit. It would be cool to see you make a drift vid like your Honda City Turbo. This is one of my favorites to film and drive👍🏾

That little car is fast! JJRC. Made the q36 mini. Which is even faster than these things. Not much faster but a few mph faster. There is another company who is stamping out these copies of the q36 on Amazon. For the money though, WLtoys has a winner! Great video!
5 years back they were $35 USD & still got 3 running out of 4 purchased . My Dog likes chasing them.

Nah that Chargers are perfectly fine for them lil Batteries it should Have written "MAX 2000mAh" they can keep up with up to 2 A Charging but they not push it alltime out.

That little car looks great; do you think that the suspension can be lifter to use off road?
You can lift it a few millimeters by bending or cutting the limiters on the chassis and installing longer shocks (I used the ones for the Mini Q Q36). Did that to mine because it was getting stuck on little bumps on rougher surfaces. Made it roll less often when jumping as well.
You can get awesome alloy wheels for it which are larger diameter and width then the stock wheels. They improve the cars capability greatly and look fantastic!

@@carloshnunez @carloshnunez mine eventually became a VW Polo R WRC, had to make a new chassis as the body had a wheelbase larger than 102mm. I used the bigger wheels @Michael Cliffe mentioned as well.

Alot are being stripped down for the electrics for in 1.35 model tanks lol seen a load of videos recently people buying these up for the small servos etc to move the turret n what have you lol why you would want to convert your nice expensive model kit into rc is another story but you get them!

Hey, I love your reviews! Cheap RCs are what me and my daughter do LOL. I was wondering if you know of anything comparable to this, but in off-road? I LOVE these 1/28 scale cars, but I'd like something like a 4wd stadium truck. All I seem to find is this WLtoys model (not very off-roady) and the Team Associated ST28 (not 4wd and lousy front suspension). Is there anything in tiny RC land that does it all in a tiny package?

Hello. I have the k989 as well so it will pair with my charger but I’m curious about that tiny 400mah battery. Do you use the cheap usb charger or a proper LiPo charger? I bought a adapter to fit the tiny balance pins but I noticed my charger amps are limited to 1-3 amps. Im curious if I need to upgrade to a better LiPo charger to charge these tiny LiPo’s with lower amps? What are your thoughts? I appreciate. Thanks.
