The thing I really like most about this channel is how you are never cocky, showmanish, etc like the majority of the channels are. You just seem like a regular nice dude. dont ever change
I picked up a 5" 20 gauge to 9mm. Shoved it in my Stoeger coach gun. Right barrel with various loads from 115 to 147 was able to keep most inside 3" at 15 yards with just a bead sight and off hand. All inside 5". Switched barrels and it stayed on target. May get another one to make a double rifle. I installed a set of fiber optic sights on the rib when I got home and will try again.
Well done - nice practical test. I really appreciate the editing - someone realizes it does not add value to show loading each and every individual round. From watching Massad Ayoob shoot a snub-nose revolver my conclusion is that barrel length has more to do with velocity than accuracy, with modern CNC machining. However, in this application the longer barrel would make the adapter more stable inside the shotgun barrel. A tighter fit might make for more accuracy, but would mess up the ejection. (Which is a cool and well-thought-out feature.)
I really like that set up you have with that Choate stock....Pretty cool testing as thanks again for the one you sent me as working alot so should get it out in by the end of November when I go wheeling with my son....Those adaptors are right on....Good stuff....
The accuracy can diminish over time with alot of rounds fired. The o-rings can get loose and flatten out. The adapter comes with extra o-rings for a reason.
Pretty darn good out of a 12g shotgun!! I need to build me a single shot survival 12g and get them adapters for it!! Hard to find an H&R break action 12g...it seems like the one to get I guess!?? Great video brother and God bless!👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks man! The Midland Shotgun would be my next pick for building survival shotgun. might want to check them out, and the adapters work great in them too!
And to "heath s" idk about you but i would buy a 16"-18" in 30-30 win. in an instant. Just needs to be produced first. Another company in alaska can do this but from recent searches they are no longer producing these and even if they did they would take up to 6 weeks to make
I am completely new at all of this and I would like to make up a 12 ga gun like yours. So H and R is no longer i guess. How would I go about doing this to a break 12 ga? Do I buy a Midland and then get the stock and hand stock? Or can I even get the after market stocks? Like your channel..................I am enjoying watching all of your video's......................
Hey, Grant! You can still find H&R or NEF Shotguns (same thing) at local gun shops or pawn shops for $125-$150. The midland is a great option too, but the stock in this video is only for the H&R. The Midland has storage space in their stock as well, just not as much in there as the one in this video, and no storage in the forearm like this one. Either gun will do you well.. As for the midland, its a great option as it will fold in half and has a removable choke to get the shotgun pattern nice and tight if needed. The H&R/NEF has more aftermarket support. again, both are great and have their trade offs. Hope that helps. Thanks for following the channel!!
how accurate do you think these would be in a 20 inch double barrel? With the 12 gauge to 20 or 410 do you need to remove the adapter each time or can you just remove the shell. Great videos btw and thank you!
most of the time, the pistol caliber shells can easily be pulled out with a fingernail. shotgun shells usually require the adapter to be removed. accuracy varies based on your sight setup, as you can guess, a bead sight is still good, but a shotgun with optic mount will pull very good accuracy as i demonstrated in my 200 yard video.
Keep It goin man you know i love these vidjas! Ive already tried to contact Short Lane to see if they could make 16"-18" adapters and they seem to be reluctant to start making them without customer influence. Since you have displayed so many of their products i was wondering your opinion on a full length adapter??!!
From what i gather, the cost would be more than what you can buy a dedicated firearm. And since these are simply adapters, the accuracy will be roughly the same as the 8 inch. Its just not a dedicated barrel locked into the receiver. that being said, the velocity achieved from the 8 inch adapter is VERY close to a 16 inch barrel. As noted in my velocity test of these adapters. Its simply not worth the production cost and cost to the consumer when the difference is negligible... But this is only from what i can see from testing. I have not asked them about it.. Other than to have them produce longer Shotgun adapters such as 410, 20, 28ga
can rifled adaptors work with smoothbore shotguns? Or do I have to use a smoothbore adaptor on a smoothbore shotgun? (I'm not sure if they are saying the adaptor is meant for a smoothbore or if the adaptor itself is a smoothbore XD )
this may be true for a pistol firing what it was built and chambered for. What you have to remember is that this is an adapter and is not a locked in chamber and barrel like any built firearm. so for what it is, thats not really that bad at 50 yards.

Prepping the reload with the Glock funstick was pretty slick! Great vid!
lol works great too!
Just bought the 8 inch 12 to 9 adapter. You convinced me. They also had a good sale going on.
Right on Bryan! Have fun!, its easy to shoot through a box of 50 with these, even through a single shot.

Thank you sir...
Awesome. Been wondering how these held groups. Nice gun also. Looks like a fun shooter.
Better results than I was expecting
better ammo might show better groups too
Good Groups..nice to see it turns a single shot into a repeater when you use the 8 inch..LOL
LOL Ill be expecting the ATF with a smile on my face lol

I got my NEF .12ga for $99 at a local pawn shop.
sweet deal!
These would be good for high point owners they never fail
Still waiting for gun adapters in 10 mm or bigger like 308 or 500 s&w 30.30
that would be awesome!
Yeah I'd love to see 5.56 and 7.62 as well
308 and 500 probably never, the others are out
Very good vdo. Keep going with other brands
thanks
nice job!!

My fav reviews. Not showboating. Thanks!
Btw, where can I buy them. Their website don’t offer them.
Phone ? Not luck either
hey, Jules. they are there. look to the left of the website for the menu when you go to their page.
Interesting indeed
I'm thinking some consistent hand loads would be fun to see how much more accurate the groups, hood day for shootin
oh yeah, i would put money on these putting down some way better groups.

Off topic, but was wondering if there is any word on Midland rifle barrels?
george dockery they are a little behind as of now

The adapter has rifling in it to stabilize the bullet. These adapter are used in smooth bore shotgun barrels
Weird question for you. Is your shotgun barrel rifled? Wondering if the fit of these adapters is affected by smooth bore or rifled bore
It is not, I have not tested on a rifled bore.
I don’t know. A pistol with an rmr on a similar rest can deliver some surprising groups. Not sure it’s worth it.

Nice demo. Can I get a code to order?
yes, sir!

Hey any way to get this in canada?
wanted to know can you use hollow point ammo in these adapters?
lonesomeroades yes, the rifled adapters will stabilize the bullet to make the hollow point effective
How did you mount that red dot?
here ya go : ruclips.net/video/o18kc3DVqqc/видео.html
Does it take Kolgk mags? YUP
lol nice
priced a little steep, but if you have a single shot, cheap way to get a new caliber. then you gotta throw in the optics and you can't conceal a 12ga.
ok
Nobody wants shotgun adapters for concealment
🖒🖒
thank you, John!
