    Heath,
You have done a nice job on pulling the deck lid dent out. I have been flip- flopping on whether to buy the HF stud gun. From what I saw on your video, I guess you helped me to make a purchase.
    Great work, as always.
    Rick

The stud gun worked better than I thought it would. The snatch bar is not that great but it did get the job done ! I am glad the video helped out! I was on the fence about buying one but now I am glad I did ! Thank you and Take it easy !

Thank you Heath for another interesting video. I'm curious with such a large dent if you got "oil canning". If not, is it due to the heat from the stud gun shrinking the metal as you go. On my Tudor I had a spot in the rear quarter panel that I struggled with using hammer and dolly, heat, shrinking disc, etc. Just wonder if something like this gun would have worked better. Looks like it did a decent job.

No oil canning on the big dent But if you noticed the deck lid had a dent at the top in the center of the deck lid I did have oil canning in this area but the heat from the stud gun welding the studs on took the oil canning right out and tighted the metal up nice. The stud gun does shink the metal as you use it ! The stud gun really did a better job than I thought it would. I have always just tried to hammer and dolly dents out and usually may have to shrink a spot here and there. I would recommend a stud gun it worked very good for me and the deck lid looks better in person than on the video! I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for watching and commenting! Take it easy!

Excellent demonstration, Heath! Thanks for sharing! Are you going with a deck lid, or a rumble seat on the coupe? (I observed two holes in the panel) That was a fairly deep dent...and I've seen repairs made where an entire dent was filled with bondo! (Made a hell of a mess digging it all out!) Enjoy! Be safe! Bro Harry

Thank you Harry! I am going with a trunk instead of a rumble seat. Yes Sir it did have two holes in the deck lid It was a rumble seat before. Yes I have seen big dents full of bondo and lower patches with screen wire and news paper with bondo covering that mess. I don't like working on one that has been patched over but now days you almost have to work with what you can find. Thanks for watching and commenting ! Take Care my Friend!!
