- Finally got to visit Scott, aka Ratarossa!! I wanted him to drive my Ferrari 308 and see what how it compared to the injection cars he is more used to! Here he tells us what he thinks of my cheap Ferrari
Cheers Jack, really enjoyed driving the InfluEnzo, you have done some fantastic work on the car and it really shows with how well this car looks and drives. You'll have to compare it to the BBi when I finish the build.
Thank you dude!! I would absolutely love to!!
That wold make a fantastic clip . The influEnzo meets the back street BBi .
Great collaboration for Ferrari tragics 👍 and 308 addicts like me :)
Thanks Scott for taking time out to do this for jack
BBi - definitely something to look forward to!
Somewhat disappointed that while Scott appeared in his trademark flip-flops Jack forgot to put on his pajamas.
🤣🤣
Both of you guys are my heroes. Lots of useful info without the pompousness of many Ferrari channels.
Thank you Howard!!
Ratarossa a hero?? Good luck in your future then...
Great to see two youtubers get together who both actually get hands on with their cars. A lot of car youtubers who don’t even wash their own cars, let alone have a go at doing work themselves. You two set the standards for great car youtubers.
Ive been eating to see a Collaboration with these two for ages! Thanks, keep up the great videos!
Thank you Juan!!
Ahhh knew this was coming up 🙂 Love these collaboration's and big fan of both channel's. I always watch the adds on these two Ch to support them moving forward and make sure there is future content.
(Nice)
That’s great, thank you Mr D!!!
Nice. Always good to get someone else to share their experiences with you. I really hope you have a better idea of what you have achieved with this car now. You've done wonders with it.
What a great car comminity happening there in the UK and fantastic feedback on cars owned past and present. It does help if and when one day I venture into ownership of a classic 80's prancing horse. Thanks guys and keep up the content 👍🇭🇲
I’ve got a 99 Holden Hsv here in the U.K.
sure is rare here.
Great content, keep up the great work. Days like these help you realise how far you've taken the car and why it has all been worthwhile (even the lows!).
Really enjoyed that! Two great Channels come together👍
So good to see you 2 chaps together again. Thank you both for doing this - love both your fascinating channels..! Keep up the great work chaps!!
Ooo - Scott's going to give Jack a go in the BBi. So cool to see all these guys meeting up. And not just a joyride in the Influenzo, the feedback about the rear suspension must have been useful - a bit of geometry tweaking?
Truly a very good video. Props to Scott for appearing! See you soon, Jack, and know that lots of us look forward to your videos. Cheers from across the pond!
Bret
Brilliant !! love to see you guys together
Another amazing video, Jack. Congratulations on the Influenzo. It’s great to see this beautiful 308 back on the road.
Nice to see dad and lad out for a drive 😂
Sorry Jack 😳😜
Grandad and nephew… 😄
@@Number27 ha ha it’s the grey hair. I feel your pain my new neighbours asked my wife if her dads in twice. I’m same she as her 😩😂
@@2702simmo oi !.. nothing wrong with grey hair....it's the future !! 🤪🤪🧓👵
308 is looking and going well. Nice to see you and Scott working together.
Good to see Scott taking a blast in the influenzo.. top guy it would be good to see you try and figure out the issue with the rear . Keep up the hard work 💪
Thanks fella!!
So did you sort the problem of it misfiring in corners or did I miss a video somewhere, Jack?
Such a great video. I've always loved your smile, Jack and don't think we see it often enough, however you were super chilled out and your smile was so naturally there. Please let's have more videos where you're smiling.
I've never watched this Mr Ratarossa fella before but I will subscribe to him as a reminder to watch his vids when I have some more free time.
Nice to see Ratarossa on you channel, excellent!
Thanks 🙏.. it was a lot of fun!!
Great to see you got Scott round😎
Ha, 27 & Ratta, two of the main reasons I no longer want a ferrari !
Ha ha...Me too!
How come?
LOL
Glad we could help!!
I Just take a brand new one with extended coverage etc.
When i win the lottery or something
What a great way to build a relationship, you guys are the epitome of cool car guys! Great video!
so glad you two got together hope you both can sort out your carb issue great to watch our rattarossa too.
He’s a good lad!!
Good feedback from Scott! Wasn’t expecting such a positive review! Rear end could be tyres?
Could be… more likely need to have a look at engine mounts I think!
@@Number27 I had a similar problem with my mid-engined car. And yes, the dried engine mounts were the culprits.
nice to see you guys having a great time together!
Excellent video guys, my two fave exotic car youtubers together 👍
When worlds collide! Two of my favorite YT channels together is a great thing. I love that the B-Roll is all just Jack driving. Not fooling anyone there. :)
Nice little mash up with two of my favourite channels 😁
Two of the famous youtube car lovers in UK driven a left hand steering Ferrari in UK country road, lovely video.
Nice to see a big smile and thumbs up - nice to get some positive feedback after all the work ;-)
Not that it matters but you were right to begin with calling out start up sound as being from a jet engine...it’s a free turbine that drives a propeller to convert power into propeller torque (and therefore thrust) but the engine itself is a gas turbine (jet) engine. For info we call these turbo-props. Great content as usual
At last irresistible force meets immovable object. The colab we've all been waiting for.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😆 thanks chap!!
You need to get a life 🤣🤣
Scott and Jack my two favourite Ferrari content providers collaborating....what’s not to like!!! 👍
Same driving shoes Ratarossa changed his clutch with (gearbox out lol) ! #legend
Good appraisal, recognise those roads around Maidenhead!
Great collaboration.
1:04 Jet engine that drives a prop it is Scott 😀 Nice intro next to the airfield, reminds me of brochures where expensive cars and planes are pictured to show the rich lifestyle
the oily fingers of a classic car guy......nice to see the Influenzo in full flight and a another viewpoint
You know when you get that feeling when you know the roads being driven and you realise it's the route you take home from work when not doing the motorway slog. Often taken in my Chimaera which was a similar purchase to this and the frankenlise being a sight unseen Cat N.
Brave buy but what a fun car!!
@@Number27 it was but its on the road, repaired, painted and proving pretty reliable. Paid the deposit about 2 weeks before I saw the frankenlise video and almost started vlogging it myself but a lack of time and ability made me decide against it. Its only a 400 but running a stage 3 top end, fast road cam and full uprated intake package. Been modernised a bit with a megasquirt system and just been tuned properly by a local expert to about 285bhp and its quite revvy for an rv8. Definitely a fun car and a long term ambition fulfilled.
Supersprint need to copy that exhaust of yours and make it available for everyone. Sounds lovely.
Boy, the two of you work in the tightest of spaces I've ever seen. And it's nice to see Ferrari/car guys getting together and sharing each other's cars. Does this mean that the carb float issue on right turns has been cured? So, where do Jack and Influenzo go from here? I gather that you haven't been on a track since you said goodbye to the 964. Would the Lotus be good for that? Or is it time for a classic vintage race car? You'd have to sell the Ferrari, but you'd keep the Lotus as your toy, and the Alfa as you workhorse. A vintage British sports car race car from the 50s or 60s?
Yeahhhh, finally. I thought that this episode is never going to come. Best wishes from Taiwan!
Glad you’re happy.. another coming next week!!
Hahah what a team :) great Scott and Jack
Wow what a star duo,cheers both 🚒👍
Thanks for watching buddy!!
Some great back lanes around White Waltham
I take it that the left right turns cutting the engine is fixed, what was the problem ?
Good to see like minded you tubers collaborate on a video.
00:25 Airport security sticking their noses into matters it seemed at the beginning of the video!
i know very little about the 308, so am enjoying learning about them thru this channel and also the 308 on Ratarossa. are the carb cars more desired than the fi cars?
I would say like for like carb cars command more money.
Thanks for the video.👍👍👍
Follow both of you, great to see a collaboration. Would like to see more…jack in the ratarossa?
White Waltham airfield. Just around the corner from my house !
I am slightly confused? The last video The car was not turning right and I have been waiting to see what the problem was? Now it seems to be ok for Ratty, unless there was no right turns? Any one know how this problem turned out?
two of my go to youtubers in the same video...awesome. Need Jack to drive the Rat next !!
That’s happening.. video out weds!!
@@Number27 get in !!...ask Scott to put the roof on 🤪🤪🤣
Nice video. One question though: was the squeaking heard coming from the steering wheel?
My guess would be that it was coming from the clutch pedal, possibly the spring. I’ve had manual transmission cars in the past from the 70’s/80’s and they did the same thing.
Nice colab with Rata 👌
Always good seeing Ratty
Just wondering Mr. 27, if you have ever looked at the Corsa electric power steering conversions that are popular on mk2 Escort rally cars, and if the same formula could be applied to a Ferrari? If you could adapt the setup I am sure you could make some money too!
Brilliant , two of the best car youtubers, both great channels.
Thanks Andrew!!
Wonderful!
Enjoyed the video different from the usual 👍
I owned a 308 GTS for over 35 years loved every minute. although I love my later Ferrari,s
Sounds obvious but.. new rear tyres could make a huge difference.. great channel..
That looked suspiciously like white waltham airfield
It was..
Great collaboration it’s always good to have another ear I noticed the Italian racing footwear invented by a well know Italian racing taxi driver
Billy Gacamatti who regularly frightened tourists from all over the world in his Ferrari fiat 600 yes the 600 champion from Torino
On a serious-note the Ferrari is sounding great P S the 600 was the teardrop shaped fiat of yesteryear ,keep them coming 👍👨🏻🏭
Little bit of Willie will do it every time!
This is like watching a Father & Son testing a car Lol
Looks like the carbs are sorted !!!
I noticed at 3:34 it stills seems to blowing a bit of blue smoke. Otherwise it sounds and looks good Jack.
You don’t see to be cutting out on right hand turns now Jack. Is that sorted?
My two favourite budget Ferrari boys in one video. What’s not to like👍
Me thinks Jack is getting ready to sell the Influenzo, that came across almost like an infoad ;)
That's odd... only a few InfluEzo-video's ago he said he has no plans whatsoever to sell it in the forseeable future... 🤔
So is Scott going to let you drive the 512BBi when he's finished that project? :)
he sure will
I sure hope so!!!
White Waltham airfield appropriate venue.my 2 favourite geezers.
Why, on the wide shots, is there only one person in the car?
Aways been wondering when you gona do a video together.
The question is did Jack have to use the emergency passenger foot brake? 😀
I love those videos where you do loads of old school work on the Influenzo and don’t fix anything. I don’t love those videos where you nonchalantly mention that you may have dropped a nut into the engine!
Just a couple of 40ish blokes driving a 308. Which one is the youngest?
Great video of two talents
It’s terrible.. he’s two years you get but looks like my nephew
Ratarossa 'talent'? I've seen it all now...
Hey bro ,, since the good purchase price ,,and repairs,, how much you into it?
Flipflops? Man I do all my summer driving in bare feet.
Money buys your freedom, buys time but never buy happiness because happiness is free."
RataRoyalty on the channel! lol
The right turn misfire is cured ?
Absolutely not!! I think next video will be fun trying to delve. Deeper into that one
feel of the drive and ease of modification, i'll take carbs over injection actually..
Me too!!!
This guy is putting a modern electronic ignition system on one, it's reckoned to make them much easier to live with;
ruclips.net/video/JywZbsiPXzM/видео.html
Is that the clutch pedal squeaking, or the steering wheel?
My Mondial used to do it. I think it’s the same. With my Mondial it was some part of the rotating mechanism rubbing against the steering. I think it adds character and never bothered with it 😄
@@malcholden5357 the clutch petal on my '81 911 used to make an even louder squeak that that. Brought back fond memories! 🤣
@@andrewward3752 I’m my car history I recall one with a squeaky clutch pedal I’m sure just can’t remember which.
And the misfire Jack ? What was the result of your efforts please ?
Not fixed yet.. next install never put in a couple of weeks
Instalment out not never put.. autocorrect!
Blowing a little smoke at 3:35?
So whos going to be the 1st to drop a K24 into one?.....🤔
WTF, driving a car with flip-flops. So bloody dangerous!
It’s illegal to drive in flip flops and I’ve tried it and your feet get caught ever so often, Why the fuck did you let someone drive your Ferrari in them. 😩😩😩
You could see how nervous Jack (Number 27) is with Scott (Ratarossa) & his bare sandals. Not proper shoes for driving with stick shift. I would be... for fear of accident.
Careful Jack showing this video with nothing wrong has probably jinxed it. What caused that misfire you've obviously fixed it?
Heavy clutch pedal, flip flops haha, doh... Good to get out, nice one gents.
Cheers buddy!!
I think the only person allowed to drive Ferrari in flipflops should be Kimi. I find it a little disrespectful. Even in Pumas.
GOT to say did you throw him out of the car, as one minute he is in the cars with you next shots he's not !!!
Why ask him?, not interested. Do your own thing which is always entertaining and instructive. And not padded out with product placement.
Nail. On. Head!!
Footwear was a bit disrespectful.
