Thanks for the review! I own a Silverado with the 2.7 and I love it. It definitely doesn't sound great, but it has plenty of power and on my 60 mile commute to work I average about 24-25 mpg. Great engine.

@@brent7368 I'm going around 60 on my route to work. Speed limit is 55 most of the way. City driving for me is around 19-20mpg depending on lights. On the interstate I hold it around 72 and usually get 22-23 mpg. I'd like to get a tonneau cover and see if that helps.

@@Redrune0928 Thanks! Yeah I'm debating a bed cover too - despite the little spoilers they developed off the back of the cab and tailgate, that bed is wide...I wonder how much air/drag it captures.
Then again they do develop these vehicles with that air pocket in mind :/ so who knows.

I have a 2021 2.7 silverado and it’s a great truck. It does not sound like a V8. The turbo does sound great. I actually love it. I had a 5.3 with cylinders that shut off and on, I had misfires and now I’m giving this a shot. It’s new so of course it’s doing great. Good luck to all considering this truck, it’s not bad at all.

Back in 2020 I leased it out 3 yrs; GMC Elevation 2.7 Two wheel drive Monochromatic black with Bose system and upgraded center console armrest. A new engine for GM and so far a year later no problems. By leasing I was able to get out of my Ford hybrid Cmax which I was upside down in. I was also seeing new Trucks coming like the Ford Hybrid and new more changes were coming for the truck industry. I tow a Travel trailer total weight, passengers and gear 4,680 lbs. Tows flawlessly and plenty of torque going through the Smoky Mountains. Average gas mileage towing 10.5-11.5 65-68mph that's with no grades and no head wind. Travel trailer Dry Weight 3800lbs 19ft 9 or 10ft height. I live in Miami, Fla allot of stop and go traffic. I have towed 5000 lbs boat and pulled it out the water with no issues. Hate the Governor on this TRUCK, could easily capture 113 plus mph but the governor kills it at 98 mph. I have less then 2 yrs; hopefully no shortages on trucks by then. Hopefully the semiconductors issue is over with ?

To meet the MPG standards across the board set by the government and second because they didn’t put the right engine in the truck in the first place.
