    Picked-up an 2.7 GMC Elevation 2020 two wheel drive (8 spd) monochromic look (No Chrome) and riding on 20's . Love the none slip differential, pulled a 7000 lbs boat out of marina @"Black Point" for repair. I went with the two wheel drive because of MPG's in the city. The stop & go makes a difference. Regardless if factory numbers say only a mile per gallon difference that's bull from experience. . Live in a dense city Miami, Fla. And I have to see clients, city driving is 75% of my driving. I'm averaging 18-19 city moderately driving with the a/c always on. I have managed a road trip to Tennessee 24 mpg's 74-76 mph 4 people and 150 lbs in bed but on avg 23-24 Hwy.. I have managed 32 MPG YES on the way to Big Pine Key, in the Florida Keys @ 45-46. No wind issues dead calm. Now Towing a boat from Key Largo, Fla to Miami 4500 lbs 11-13 mpg.. Remember people we are Flat land down here. My experience at the Gas Pump Test is better in gas mileage then what the trip computer tells me. I have managed 21-24 city when we had cooler nights and I opened up windows and A/C was off. I have managed 32-33 mpg's Now watch it for yourself. Must have been ideal conditions and motor probably stayed engaged in two cylinders watch ruclips.net/video/bz7XAfx-CJI/видео.html

    i wouldn't knock anyone for picking this engine if they like it. But my 2019 Silverado has the 5.3 V8 with 8 speed and I love it. and for a large vehicle it gets amazingly good fuel mileage, consistently into the low 20s on work commutes and often higher on highway trips. Winter time drops into the upper teens of course. And that smooth V8 burble never gets old. I think I would only consider the 3.0 diesel if I were to choose any other engine, but only after it has been out for a few years to get any bugs worked out.

    • @djh1010

      Paul Butler I agree. I have a ‘19 Silverado also with a 2” level kit and 33x12.5r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers for the shoes and I’m lifetime 18.7mpg with about 75% city driving. I that may not seem great, but with those big and heavy tires, I’m not mad at it at all.

    • @djh1010
      @djh1010 4 года назад

      bum krilla you either have a 2.5l gasser, 3.6l gasser V6, or a 2.8 diesel. 2.7 isn’t a thing. None of them are nearly as quick as the 5.3, except the 3.6 v6 might be able to hang with a good driver. But you can achieve that gas mileage with the duramax and if you keep it around 65 with the gasser 4 cylinder. But they’re far less powerful than the new 5.3’s.

    New update 9.26.21 Towing an RV Travel Trailer combined payload (gear & passengers) 4,640lbs. Home Base Miami, Fla. I travel to GA, NC, Kentucky and TN. Now over 6000 miles on Travel Trailer 19 footer. I hear comments about the 8 Spd having issues "FALSE" Perhaps with 2016-2019 V8 models but you have entirely new transmissions in the 2019 Trucks. Which the V8 only come with the 10spd. I have the GMC Elevation 2.7 4L almost 2 years. NO ISSUES other then some glitches with Apple Car Player and yet it still works and functions as normal. I have plenty of torque on big grades in the Smokey's and Appellations. In normal towing I forget the RV is back there. The MPG's while towing is good. The new 2021 2.7 4L is now topped at slightly over 400HP's with Boost and 9000Lbs towing capacity.
