damn! this looked absolutely cinematic horror.. slowly crawling & making a pause giving a little glimpse when the orange light hits it through the vents.. absolutely stunning frames.. great share..
Bravo
That's incredible
perfect game
It almost feels like it knows how to toy with the player. I was hiding and it was standing right in front of my spot and then suddenly I'm dead. Crazy ai man
That wasn't intended though, it just can't move faster than that in the vents, and that pause was just a little glitch.
Gamers: The vents are safe. The alien can't hurt you.
Alien: areyousureaboutthat!?
These are the same people that think bears are cute and need to be hugged on sight.
The lighting in this game is truly excellent. That truly cinematic shot of the orange light hitting the alien through the vent really reminded me of the first scene in Alien where you get a glimpse of the creature.
I never experienced the alien go into the vents with me on multiple playthroughs, so I was watching my friend play and I told him it was totally safe, not even 10 seconds later you can hear the alien rushing him in the vents while us both screaming
They made the intensity of the game so well, everything was nerve racking. The lighting, the fear of impending doom, is it safe to run or just crouch for 6 hours? Superb game
@@summonedgames Even better if you turn the in-game music off. It ups the immersion factor by far. So much more terrifying to be crawling around that station when all you can hear is the sounds you make, the creaks and groans of the defunct station, the alien scuttling through the vents.
@@arveranteos712 I'm so doing this on the next run
@@summonedgames I can attest to what he says too. Even on my first playthrough I immediately turned the music off. Truly puts the isolation in Alien: Isolation.
Lmao
That thing is really smart. You hide to much, it will check closets. You use too much noisemakers, it will bait you by going after it then immediately turning around. Use too much vents, it will start checking all vents.
That's why I had it on its toes. Did not use one strategy for more than 15 mins
Using boxes and furniture to hide behind seems to be the only tactic you can rely on.
@@raistlin3462: I think that’s because hiding behind a box doesn’t count as a game mechanic like ducking under a table or using a noise maker. It’s just staying out of sight, it can’t ‘learn’ to counter that. The devs were thorough with the AI but I think even they figured that would be unfair.
Play on console with noise detection. Not the best graphics but it will humble you for sure..
I wanted my flamethrower to be effective as late as possible in the game so I used flashbangs, pipebombs, flares etc. I did them in random order and tried to use them sparingly. Let me tell you, using the pipe bomb is Fun as hell!
@@kylesinkovich8332Same
That litte STOP it did when jumped in front of you. like it KNEW you couldn't escape. gave me much more creeps than if it would just rush you
Alien: and I took that personally
“Wait…. It hangs in the ceiling vents.. can it get into the wall vents?” -Me 9 seconds before capturing my first xeno teeth with the pause menu
I did the same. Ran full pelt under the vent thinking it wasn't even in the game yet. Next thing I know I'm being dragged into the vents by a new friend lol
If you use motion tracker for more than 2 seconds in the vents while he is nearby, YOU DEAD!
Lesson learned 😂😂
@@summonedgames the flash light is what gave you away. The flashlight is instant aggro within range
@@highlander918 Stupid light killed me lol. I do need to play this game again it's so much fun, once your heartbeat settles
@@summonedgames That’s exactly the way I feel lol. I can only play this game a few hours at a time or my heart rate goes through the roof
It never once happened to me while playing the game, but the possibility of it happening was by far my biggest fear.
It was a silly mistake but, I laughed alot... once my heart rate settled
Ikr I never used the vents unless I absolutely had to despite never running into him when in them. Sorta common sense avoidibg I assumed lol but just got done my 2nd playthrough on nightmare n got alot more use out of them. Esp waiting on the airpod, holyshit I died so many times first time playing that part when I could have just chilled under the floor for a minute
@@jj80808 I do need to play again just because I love the whole setting. Such a great universe and want to see more
In 17 hours of play, I have never met him once in the air ducts. Is that normal?
I think it’s an A.I. Thing where it tracks you compared to the aliens programming. Once it realised I was in the vent it checked all vents 😂😂
me two-three times when i was camping in vent for 30 secs him entered though he had never seen me
I was killed in a vent only once in my playthrough
Depends on the difficulty too
Im too fucking scared too even enter a vent while ge is in the duct, cuz the fact he just sprints towards you
Watch the first movie, vents aren't safe, well actually you're not safe anywhere lol.
Happened to me once. Heard a thumping boom getting closer and closer and I swear I nearly cried and peed at the same time
Just wow, the way it moves and the light effects on it feel so cinematic, I love it!
Went out like captain Dallas
Not quite. He lived past the vent incident... agonously so.
@@alexanddawnlehr4450 only in the director's cut
WTF this looks like a movie scene
omg that audio thumping as it's crawling towards you is alllllllll of the fucking nope
What a game
Needs to be more like it. Would like to see a Warhammer 40k one like this. Nemesis is a good one that follows this with each player being either a friend or enemy. The aliens in that are fast
Just like with that character in the movie
"GET OUT OF THERE, GET OUT!! 😭😭" 👌
And that's why this game is perfect
This only happened to me twice. I shat myself both times
It is an amazing game and plays so well. I love how fast the A.I. works and learns
I love the Tip the game gave you at the end " Enemies will react to the beam of your flashlight" :D That's what gave you away I think, but you managed to get this beautiful shot so worth it
The funniest part is im pretty sure at the beginning of the game the xenomorphs cant use the vents so the player establishes them as a safe haven location, only for the aliens to start using them in the middle of the game and scaring the shit out of the players. Its the equivalent of having a magic sword that kills monsters then a monster catches the blade barehanded and all preconcieved notions of safety crumble
*Indeed enemy reacted to the beam of your flashlight*
I know, silly error on my part lol
@@summonedgames Just jokin, I didnt knew that this alien f#ck can see glimpse of flashlight in the vent...
At this point its confirmed Xenomorphs can smell light
@@livianmonaxia Probably smelt me bricking it in the vents. It was a brilliant moment. Glad it saved the clip
I was once hiding in the vents and he crawled in and I swear I had a heart attack
That feeling is immense. I have to play the game and try and settle down as my heart rate is tense. It's one of my favourite movies and the creature itself is just horrifying. They made an excellent game
@@summonedgames true
First mistake was turning on the flashlight, if you woulda went the other way and got the fuck out of doge you coulda survive. Its hide and seek with that thing and you definitely have to hide and not be seek.
I will never get tired of watching people shit out their intestines seeing the xeno crawl after them in the vents xD
It's like a giant cockaroach crawling towards you in a vent
it's safe until an alien appears.
I think the vents are worse than just running down the halls trying to escape.
That’s a tough choice. I mean, hearing those loud fast steps closing in behind you is horrible.
Halls: Flamethrower. Toss stuff that sets it on fire. Noisemakers to lure it away.
Vents: Pretty much just the flamethrower and no cover.
Yep. Look how horrible they ended up being for Captain Dallas.
It's just a glorified coffin honestly
that lighting, oh my
reminds me of the scene in Alien, when Dallas is in the vents
I think the vents are the last place it looks. You need to either move on or get to one of the safe havens where it will never look then you can wait until it goes away. If it knows for definite that you are in the area it will never leave even if you are in a safe haven and will just loop it's patrol path over and over again
happened to me just twice. they did a good job not overdoing the alien in vents
From what I seen from other playthroughs, it only went into a vent as a last resort to find you
someone didn't watch alien.
That's the rule. Please report any violations to your local Apollo rep immediately.
I see that cheeky-ass loading screen tip lmao
They're safe(r), but he'll find you anywhere eventually if you just stay there. 😂 Gotta keep moving.
The heart attack is the worst part
First time this happened to me, I screamed and threw my controller.
Dallas learned it the hard way.
The alien can see or hear you in the vent too.Esp if you play nightmare it would hunt you more in vents.Which was a lesson learnt for me and it always a 10s rule.If i hear bing bom bing bom I am out of the vent and it would also exit. You gotta be fast
Remember those vents higher are THE SAME VENTS AS ON THE WALLS so
Bro do not risk it
"There are no aliens in these vents. Here, we are safe. Here, we are free."
Indeed, very safe x'D
The first time I found out the alien can go in the vents I nearly shat myself.
Vents are Aliens hideouts, they definitely will find u, soon or later. If you're playing nightmare mode, there's a time limit for u to stay in vent.
From playing aliens colonial marines, I learned that vents are where you keep your gun pointed haha
Remember, people, the Xenomorph can hear your motion tracker if it's in close proximity to you. In this clip, the Xenomorph likely heard the tracker as it was standing directly above the player. This is why it dropped down and attacked. This is also true while hiding in lockers. The next time you're hiding in one and the Xenomorph is just outside the door, pull out your tracker and watch what happens.
Fuck that I’m never going into vents again
The one place where the alien spends most of its time is definitely not the place I'd want to be 😂
Beautiful!
The vents are safe.
Alien: bet
I have finished this game several times, know exactly how this video would play out, and it still made me jump.
that's the scariest shit ever
im almost 1000% sure it can hear the beeper and see the light, that coupled with it 'learning' your patterns based on gameplay - if for example you use the vent often, or it catches you entering/exiting vents it'll check there
I feel lied to
That lighting at 0:15 is exactly why the xenomorph is terrifying.
I’ve had it come down into the floor vents, scared me when it happened lol.
2014 game wow , looks amazing.
ngl that was so cool
Masterpiece!
I love this game.
Wow this is one of the scariest ones.
Wait they can they do this? Oh good lord
Sick Scene bro.
This game needs to be multiplayer so you can work as a team at home or online.
100%. Full coop experience with 4-6 of you running around and screaming plus npcs
@@summonedgames There should have been a mode to play as the alien and chase your friends
@@highlander918 I agree 100%. Set it up like Friday the 13th. Have vents the alien can instant travel, different perks and abilities, different avatars with their own perks. Oh and have the queen as an unlock if the alien hits certain requirements
The Queen would not fit in the vent for sure, lmao
You turned on ur flashlight that's why it killed u
We finished whole game and only in the last 2 hours he sneaked into our vent when we thought all game that vents were safe LOL, wasn't the best experience 🤣🤣
running is the safest thing idk what ya'll are talking about
I played for 14 hours and considered vents a sure safe thing if it didnt notice me enter them and then I met mr alien there
It's the new meeting point these vents. You never know who you'll bump into🤣
The vents are safe in Alien Isolation...said no one who’s actually played the game.
Judging off the thumbnail, hell no vents are not safe.
The title should be that the vents are not safe, the Xenomorph can get you from just about anywhere.
Pretty sure you don't know what sarcasm is...
@@ZariainYT I do know what it means, but sarcasm or not the title is still misleading.
No! No vents aren't safe! 😱
Are safer than being out but they are not perfect U-U
Aw you’re so pretty!
I know where this is, I tested out some things in those vents. Interesting programming.
Definitely the vents keep you safe and no alien can get inside the vent matter of fact you can hide in the vents and survive years in the vents 😂
Sus
Amogus
But the title says that vents are safe!
You little booger!
How is that safe?
Omg at 0:16
I find this video's title to be misleading.
I don't get why prole th0ught the vents were safe...we knew the aliens used them to get around.
It was the best place to hide at the time 🤣🤣😂😂🤣
@@summonedgames yeah I'm sure the alien who got you agreed 🤣
@@bexie1992 That alien was rude and didn't respect my personal space 😂
@@summonedgames 🤣👽
The likes are at 666 Leave it alone
Amazing 😂😂👍👍
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck !!!! 🙂
Okay, how does this game manage to be so cinematic? Without even trying?!
wdym without trying? They tried (and succeeded) very hard to get a cinematic feeling
@@KoltAir I mean that even in the parts that aren't specifically meant to be cinematic it still manages to feel like a movie?! Like in the scripted bits it obviously feels cinematic but I mean even where it's just gameplay, no scripted parts. The code isn't telling the alien to act cinematic but it still manages to feel like a movie 90-some percent of the time.
Worst mistake ever
I don’t think the vents are safe.
0:23 The tip is surely sarcastic enough 😂
