By the way, Flake the Keybourder said in an interview that the dangerous thing for him in the pot is not the fire, but the lack of oxygen that is burned by the flamethrowers and he cannot breathe. On the stadium tour, Till not only uses flamethrowers but also a cannon and shoots Flake's head with it, because flamethrower are to small for the huge stage....loooooool

Rammstein are always epic, the only gig I have been to where bits of the set were still smouldering at the rear of the venue after the band had finished. You really feel the heat inside Check out Feuer frei, you will feel the heat.

Not THE first concert, but there is a video from Big Day Out Festival 2001 where they were younger and people react to. The songs would be ''Weißes Fleisch & Asche zu Asche".
Anything earlier (e.g. Live in Berlin 1998) are usually blocked on RUclips even though it's probably their best concert ever.
It is hard to believe at times that Till suffers from stage fright but he does. This is why he adopts the various personas and why in part they have all the pyro etc. He can hide behind it all. The song itself was written after one of the band members read about the case of Armin Meiwes and how he advertised on a cannibal forum for a man aged 18-30 who was looking to be eaten (bizarre, but not as rare as you may think, cannibalism , that is). The details of the case are quite gory and made even more soo by the knowledge that the murder was recorded on videotape and shown to the jury at Meiwes trial. He was initially convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 8 years in prison but was subject to a re-trial after he was found to have eaten around 40lbs of Brandes' flesh over a period of time. He was then convicted of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of 15 years. Eligible for parole this year! Apparently, Meiwes has since become a vegetarian. The performance is just wonderful theatre, the song tells the story and Till's voice is magnificent as always. Love the Till-Flake relationship. Flake trusts him implicitly as they're such great friends.

The Austrian imprisoned his daughter in a basement at his home and would go onto father several children with her. That's the basics but I do recommend you look up the story to see the full details, its disturbing to say the least. Rammstein asked the victim if they could make this song before doing so and she gave them her blessing.

For earlier Rammstein performances (band was founded in 1994) I recommend Bizarre Festival 1996, Bizarre Festival 1997 and Big Day Out Festival 2001. Those performances will give you a great overlook over how their performances and audience following evolved over the years. It´s been a long way to the big ass stage production. From burning Til to well cooked Flake....

I think that should be enough. I also think, that those with subtitles will be easier to react to, without getting blocked. And yes, Till had for all at the beginning stage fright, but you can see it still today when ballads are starting, that he is a bit uncomfortable with it. That is, why he has all the pros up there. First of all the audience is looking at the prop more than at him and second he is distracting himself from knowing, that thousands are looking at him, while he is doing his job. You are correct! Well, they attempted to eat it, but found it tough and so tried to cook it further but it ended up getting burnt so was given to Miewe's dog. After the victim died Miewes dismembered him and then froze and ate other parts over the course of several months. He has also attempted to sue the band. Twice! 😂
