The judge is not a shotgun and a poor revolver. I have several 45LC revolvers, and one of them is a Ruger Blackhawk. That gun is extremely accurate. For a defensive firearm, I do not recommend a single action. I do think there are a LOT of revolvers out there better than the Judge.
