One cannot simply remove a member of Led Zeppelin. As a matter fact that is the legacy of the band... When John Bonham died, the band ended. They were smart enough to know.
True, they all had agreed ahead of time, if anyone left the band for any reason they’d be done. So not one of them were replaceable. This song was about Plant & Page driving through the desert in North Africa, on their way to a music festival. The desert seemed endless & everything looked the same, the people that they did meet seemed more from a different time. They couldn’t understand each other’s language, but the music spoke to & for all of them. Plant fell in love with Morocco, & to this day visits often. This is also the song all 4 were most proud of, they aren’t one of the greatest bands, they are the greatest band. A live performance you should do is at Earls Court on May 25, 1975 called In My Time Of Dying, it is a mind blowing performance. A great slow blues song is a studio version called Tea For One, many have called it the best blues song. Really just about anything picked by them is amazing, only a couple may not be a favorite. Thank you for your reaction, & keep checking out more Led Zeppelin.
Each member was the very best of the best. Four otherworldly Gods. We lost the greatest band of all time when we lost the Hammer Of The Gods, John Bonham. Together, they were pure magic. It would have been impossible to replace even one of them... Impossible.
@@manchieffilms not in my opinion but David is a legend at guitar 🎸. Jimmy is the guy to me cause he produced Zeppelins albums and the choreography and of course an inventive lead guitarist.
You couldn't keep what the greatness of Zeppelin was if you took even one member out and replaced him. Their specific musical chemistry as a band was too unique.
Love, love, love this song! You should check out the remaining members of the band plus the late John Bonham's son, Jason on drums, playing this song at Celebration Day at the 02 arena in 2007!
No members could be replaced by anyone. If so it would not longer be Led Zeppelin. These 4 master musicians had a musical ESP. that very rarely happens. They could just feed of each other's thoughts. There hasn't been another band yet that I have heard. That can just play anything at anytime in the middle of any song during a live performance. Without missing a beat. To answer your question , there are no current musicians out there, now in 2024 or in 1969. Capable of filling the shoes of any member. I would only have one exception. Jason Bonham, while not the same drummer as his father. But not very far off either. Led Zeppelin the greatest band to ever grace the stage 🤘🤘
Going back to the late 60's when LZ formed the singer role was up for grabs, so in answer to your question, Robert maybe was the least vital ingredient, JP did approach other vocalists at the time. I know Terry Reid was approached, a great singer, but there's always other ingredients like Sex appeal....
Yay, you're back!! I really enjoyed your reaction, its been way too long!! Robert Plant - Lead Vocals, Harmonica Jimmy Page - Lead Guitar, Theramin John Paul Jones (A.K.A. "JPJ") - Bass, Keyboards, Mandolin, & pretty much anything else John Bonham (the "H" in Bonham is silent) (A.K.A. "BONZO") - Drums These guys were just all on another level, and I wouldn't replace any of them! When Bonzo died in 1980, they disbanded rather than replace him. Nobody like Zeppelin! Greatest band ever!! ☮️
The sounds that aren't drums or lead guitar, are all John Paul Jones aka JPJ on bass and keyboards. I believe JPJ is the best all around musician in Zeppelin
Watch Kashmir Live from Celebration Day 2007. They are in their 60's and John Bonham's son, Jason is on the drums. The song is unbelievable. You can thank me later.
You can't replace any member of Zeppelin. It took the combined talents of all four members to create the end product.

They were smart enough to know.
Preach
None! I would replace none. It all falls apart without each member. That's why the band ended at the death of the drummer.
Straight facts

Led Zeppelin are the GOATS!!! Many different genres of songs to listen to.
Someone told me that David Gilmour from Pink Floyd was better than Jimmy Paige is that true?
@@manchieffilms not in my opinion but David is a legend at guitar 🎸. Jimmy is the guy to me cause he produced Zeppelins albums and the choreography and of course an inventive lead guitarist.
Their music goes through your body and soul not just your head like today’s music.
Yes o love it
It would never work, no replacement they are one person creating greatness
I believe you
Hi new subscriber here just because I saw Led Zeppelin on the thumbnail❤❤ I really enjoyed your reaction keep up the good work thanks
Thank you
The band clicked with each other, so much that their concerts could be 3 or 4 hours. They jammed! It was all about feeling the music.
Awesome
Someone told me on one of my Pink Floyd videos that David Gilmour was better than Jimmy Paige
Saw Robert plant 2 times 1985 1988 Dallas.
Watch this song from the 02 arena from 2007 and you'll see John's son Jason on the drums killing it.
Will do

Agreed
When the remaining members played with Jason on drums, it was pretty darn close. The Bonham apple didn’t fall far from the tree
They are each as important as tbe other 3!

Ok I’ll check it out.
You would not e able to replace any of these guys .When Bonham the drummer died they decided to disband.
If you had a band would you do the same if you was a great as them

The MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN ❤❤❤
''Were they a sex symbol?'' Yes. Yes, they were.
lol
@@manchieffilmsno lies there, women wanted to be with them, & men wished they were them.
If you can go on stage with a girl's blouse with princess puff sleeves and still be sexy as hell . . . yikes! There wasn't a dry seat in the house!
The sounds that aren't drums or lead guitar, are all John Paul Jones aka JPJ on bass and keyboards. I believe JPJ is the best all around musician in Zeppelin
I feel like they are all the best at what they do
Watch Kashmir Live from Celebration Day 2007. They are in their 60's and John Bonham's son, Jason is on the drums. The song is unbelievable. You can thank me later.
Robert Plant was 59, born in 1948.
I watched it the other day. LED has to be top 3 band of all time
