Robert Plant's vocal chords were already damaged by 1973. Surgery was performed. I saw LZ in 1970 and saw Robert Plant/Alison Krauss last summer. Thankfully he's still here and I got the opportunity to see him again. 53 years later.🎉Live long Robert❣️❣️❣️
Robert Plant lead singer & harmonica* Jimmy Page lead guitarist & band founder* John Paul Jones bass guitar keyboards & mandolin* John (Bonzo) Bonham on drums. This band has been considered by millions & millions of fans to be the greatest bands ever, even now in our 60’s & 70’s we still love & listen to them. All four are still to this day each to be the top three of their crafts. I personally consider them each to be number one. Robert Plant has amazing vocals, his range tone & texture, he can go from a whisper to a roar & back to a whisper with ease. They all loved the Blues since they were young teens, Mississippi Delta & Chicago Blues. Their first two albums are more Blues Rock based, with some in other albums too. They do a verity of genres Rock Blues Folk Soft Rock, & even a Reggae type song. The band got together late summer of (1968) & rocked the world as a band until September (1980) when sadly the greatest drummer ever passed away. Any song from this Madison Square Gardens (1973) concert is perfection. Another Bluesy live that I love is, In My Time Of Dying, live at Knebworth (1979). You can’t go wrong really with any of their songs, if you continue down this amazing road, I’ll suggest more songs for you. Thank you for your reaction.
By this song alone Led Zeppelin should be defined as such, IMHO. Without question. All 4 members are as one in this song. Ultimate Blues Rock expression!!
Difficult to say anything coherent after seeing and listening to "Since I've Been Loving You" by MSG 1973 a, it's been more than half a century since I regularly listened to this song, both the 1969 studio version of Led Zeppelin's third album, and the two versions of the MSG, emotion, trance, transmutation, alchemy, the chemistry of four virtuosos, you will rarely see and hear something similar, (as I've heard, it was not one of their best concerts, but luck to everyone that is filmed) welcome to the club 🩷
