Robert Plant's vocal chords were already damaged by 1973. Surgery was performed. I saw LZ in 1970 and saw Robert Plant/Alison Krauss last summer. Thankfully he's still here and I got the opportunity to see him again. 53 years later.🎉Live long Robert❣️❣️❣️

I'm pretty sure this was in 1975. In any case, Led Zeppelin are legends, and all great musicians. They were together from 1968-1980, when their drummer, John Bonham (RIP) died, and they said he could never be replaced.

One of my favorite live performances of Led Zeppelin is at, Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying. I think you would really love it. A great song that’s only a studio version is, You Shook Me, it has 3 different solos of keyboard harmonica & guitar, with amazing drums. Though any of their songs are so great, everything from Madison Square Gardens (1973) is perfect, their movie The Song Remains The Same, was filmed at those 3 concert nights. I haven't watched the video yet, but just reading the title I'm dumbfounded once again by the popularity and so often seemingly inappropriate use of the word 'soothing' by music video reactors. I can hardly think of anything LESS soothing than Dylan's merciless diss of a friend who's fallen on hard times. Perhaps the word has some special connotation amongst African Americans that I'm not aware of? Anyway, I'll listen to the video later, and see if it makes more sense after that. <3

Would love to hear you react to “Blowing in the Wind” then “It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding).” The first was his breakout hit that began to earn him the title of “voice of a generation.” The second is only 2 years later and is, in my opinion, him at the peak of his power. Really I’d just love to hear the second one but I think the first would be a good prerequisite.
