It's funny to see in the fart machine scene that Alan Rickman is the first to crack up even though he plays probably the most serious character
Daniel Radcliffe revealed it was Dumbledore's actor who put the fart machine there.
@@matmagix3845 It was Alan Rickman's idea though
Alan's personality is funny
Rickman also knew the shot was not going to be used anyway, and that Daniel Radcliffe was facing the other way so there was no need for him to hold a straight face.

It’s so interesting to see behind the scenes. One moment they’re wizards at the greatest magical school in the world, and the next, they’re just people of various ages in silly clothes behind a camera, having the time of their life
I’ve worked as a background extra in the past… Not on these films, don’t I wish!! But it is definitely interesting to watch how it all happens and then later see the finished product with all the bells and whistles added in!
It's so trippy to watch behind the scenes footage of super hero movies. Grownups legit playing pretend on a professional level - doesn't get any better than that.

Yup... and Daniel Radcliffe doesn't appreciate any of it and turned his back on JK Rowling over a political belief.
@@edgarallenpoe2191 hi, transgender man here- are you referring to the ‘political belief’ in which JKR denied my existence? The one that Daniel Radcliffe spoke out against in support of people like me?
"A fierce duel ensued between McGonagall and Snape. They skillfully ejected spell after spell, but neither overcame the other. Until at last, when Snape hit his hand on the camera equipment, and dropped his wand, rendering him defenseless."
Lol 😂 🤣🤣 Accurate description
Watch the scene again. Snape was mainly acting defensively, allowing Mcgnagall to drive him back because he was still playing the part Dumbledore asked him to play and he did not want to actually fight anyone.

Despite the fact that Alan is much older than the canonical Snape, I can't imagine anyone else in his role. He fits perfectly into the image of a gloomy and strict teacher who keeps a lot of skeletons in a closet. And his voice is one of the reasons why I prefer to watch films in the original, and not dubbed ❤️

Alan Rickman was an exceptional actor, highly experienced, even, dare I say, legendary. Those young actors just starting their careers were very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him.
And many of them know it. Daniel has said on several occasions that Rickman was teaching them and treating them as equals, instead of like children.

That's not Alan Rickman. That's likely the director or assistant director yelling before they say "Action". It's the director (or the AD) who knows the continuity of a scene and the element/mood of a scene. Alan wouldn't over step his bounds and say that.
The wand duel with McGonagall was aweseome with the special effects. Snape had the presence of mind to disarm the Carrows and take their wands before disapparating in spectacular fashion by smashing through the window.

This last scene is my favourite. He hesitates to fight minerva and deflects the spells to the death eaters behind him, before leaving without putting up a fight. It shows the person he was.
I still feel like Minerva was just assisting Snape, playing along, keeping the secret. Otherwise she would have completely housed him. She had to have known about Dumbledore's plan.
@@ithink3979 Snape was an excellent wizard
@@ithink3979 "housed him"? Snape was an incredible Wizard, hence Dumbledore close ties and expectations of him.
They're both probably on equal footing.
@@ithink3979 Harry Potter himself didn't know Dumbledore's plan. No, I respect her as a character a great deal, but I do not believe she knew. She was legitimately fighting for the safety of the students and to avenge who she believed to be Dumbledore's cold-blooded killer. Even if she did not manage to defeat him, so what? Does being a less talented spell-flinger make her any less respectable?
I don't feel it does. I respect her more for fighting against a dangerous foe over her convictions and desire to protect others. You can see it in her eyes before that moment, she's afraid for what will happen to her and the students, but casts aside that fear the moment Harry is back and accuses Snape of murder and she decides to snap out of it.
@ithink3979 only a fool would question it
What amazes me is how they can act - unlike in the finished product, the set is like an ordinary bustling place with people every where and there's no mood or ambience at all set up for serious acting. It's just really crazy how they can focus on being this character.

Seriously I don’t think we’ve ever seen him laugh in anything he’s been in
Perhaps the most emotional loss HP fans have endured following the franchises’ success has been that of Alan Rickman, who died suddenly in 2016 at the age of 69. Like fellow Potter castmate Roger Lloyd Pack, Rickman passed away from pancreatic cancer after only telling close friends and family that he was terminally ill. His casting as Severus Snape is often hailed as the best in the entire Potter franchise.
Snape’s simultaneous hatred of Harry and protection of him over the course of the eight films made him one of the most multifaceted characters in J.K. Rowling’s universe, and Rickman explored every shade of the Potions Master with the depth that only a true master could. His death was felt by all who adore the films, especially since many of them had yet to recover from Snape’s equally heartbreaking death in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two.
