I love that as they get older and better, their roles also demand more complex emotions and acting. But then they also had an incredible adult cast to learn from. I feel the adults gave them so much to react to and it made them grow so much as actors.
yeah, towards the end they are already so good. kids are like sponges for information and this experience was huge for their acting evolution :D

I love learning about actors that played bullies and villains. They often turn out to be the sweetest, most genuine people in real life. And end up getting along so well with the whole cast.

I like that the director says "don't be afraid to go off script" puts actors at ease and creates sort of an enviroment to be creative and improvise which can often make insanely good scenes that were not written/scripted/prepared before the shooting but rather on the go adapting. It can make some incredibly iconic moments. Think "madness? THIS IS SPARTA!" that was improvised by the way u can look up the actor talk about that too.
Another famous scene that was improvised was the “I didn’t know you could read” scene 😭
yes!! some of the best moments in many shows and movies are improved and especially for younger actors, who may have never had a major role like this, who may have a hard time remembering every line every time. Takes some of that ease off for sure.

As if I didn't love Harry Potter enough, this video made me appreciate the series even more. The atmosphere on set is so lovely, the world feels alive. Directing kids is not that easy, but everyone is so good at their job, the acting is incredible. The set design is so beautiful, I wish we had more of these nowadays instead of almost entirely CGI surroundings which look off. It's nice to come back to an adaptation that really cared for its source material.

You know, after years of growing up watching Harry Potter, this is one thing I just never thought about. That the adults running the set had to deal with DOZENS of children and teens that they needed to keep on task, happy, and mentally occupied at all times for long ass shooting days.

Tom was a very professional child actor. Like... he was and still is amazing
For the first two movies, he had his grandpa with him. He had a familiar face to be around, so he was less nervous while on set. After that, he really grew with confidence. Plus, Jason Isaacs took a liking to Tom and genuinely treated him like he was his son on and off set.
