The Interviewer is Erland Bekkelund and was working for a local TV-station in Oslo. This was a part of a program called Nite Patrol and was broadcasted on Norwegian TV sometime during the summer of 1988. I see the lineage is Swedish TV, Well Sheraton Hotel was located in Sandvika about 15 mins south of Oslo. Actually you can see Kalvoya where The Mothers had their first visit in Norway 1973

How great would that of been, imagine Frank Zappa T.V., his own station, something to fight the stranglehold that crappy shows like MTV and other such corporate shit has on the industry. Sadly I'm not surprised that Frank was never allowed to bring it to fruition. But we can dream of what might of been.
Thank you for this video. Did Frank snub a lady asking for an autograph at the beginning of this? Just wondering if I understood correctly what was happening when Frank says, "Well... That's okay..".

It would be very unlikely that he'd snub anyone asking for autographs because everybody at the press conference got , if they wanted it, a free copy of the double LP "Guitar" and Frank was very cool and nice and he signed for everybody who asked, we did actually stand in line! Maybe the girl was from a local TV or radio station asking for free extra (signed?) copies, I don't know. BTW, while FZ was signing records, a young fanguy was standing next to him asking questions about yet unreleased songs (but available on bootlegs). And yet mr. Zappa was grinning and being very patient with the guy, even giving him a few details about the unreleased stuff. So he was in a nice mood that day, don't think he'd snub that girl at all.
It annoys me when they set up an interview so that Frank is looking away from the camera. So unprofessional. You can't see his eyes and that is so important to read beneath the words.
