Frank Zappa - Everyone That Is Except Frank Zappa! - Massachusetts League of Women Voters - Feb 19, 1988 - 1ST GEN
FZ interview by June Natola.
Some concert and lobby footage, interviews with concert attendee's.
My tape FZ94 - Видеоклипы
Pleased to see this posted in its entirety. My mother, June, and I shot this interview over several nights at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston in 88. Frank was wonderful and later invited us to attend other shows as his guest.
The editing was my first attempt and it shows, but it was good enough for Frank to ask for copies when he went to Europe on the last, aborted, leg of the tour.
I saw an edited version of this posted by Alex Winter back when he started his gofundme for his film.
BTW, mom is alive and well.
Hey Mark! Nice to hear mom is doing well. She was a great interwiewer. Glad we were able to do a trade so I could get a clean copy of this. Geez, that has to be at least 25 years ago. Where does the time go.
Any outtakes you could share that didn't make the final cut? I should have asked when we did the trade. I've got the gear if transfers are needed.
Thanks!
Great job by both you and your mother, Mark, not to mention Frank .... my brother Rich and I actually registered during this tour !
June is straight out of the north shore! I'd recognize that accent anywhere.
Brilliant....Always looking for new Frank footage.
Cool. Thanks for watching!
8:42 She's hilarious! Love it!
Thanks zappateers, also for Event in herleen Dez 2019
10:40c’mon man you’re missing the Orange County Medley
the idea of doing an interview with the 88 band just fuckin humming in the background is so surreal
Wow. Thanks for uploading
You're welcome.
Glad you enjoyed it.
What a guy!
Documentary evidence of the towering genius that was FZ. Plus, did you hear his soaring guitar solo during the opening sequence? Peerless spontaneous air sculpture.
Great! 🙋♂️
His definition of a "cult musician" cracked me the fuck up.
Somewhere, I have a picture of my mom sitting on Franks lap! Awesome experience!!!
MN
Haha! Very cool!
Heres a clip on ABC World News Saturday on your mom. About 1:42 in.

Please find it.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Nice! Thanks Lagz!
@@vivalapsych You're welcome!
There were a few things which seemed immune to Franks cynicism - democracy was one of them, family life another. He promoted voter rights and active engagement with democracy for many many years, he was clearly on the side of his young fans all his life.
Also, Frank engaging positively with a Women’s group!!
Organ for Pat Robertson!
23min where is her accent from? she was cool. (i'm not American so i can't pin point where in the USA or Canada she's from) Her accent was.... intriguing
'Someone who plays the organ for Pat Robertson' after some considerable thought FZ describes a cult musician.
'I'm an amateur sociologist, okay?' Taking this view of Frank Zappa, perhaps I could be a little kinder toward some of his contentious lyrics.
you mean 'honest lyrics'
@@monoped8437 I call Bamboozled by Love, 'Magdalena' 'Enema Bandit' contentious. Yes, they may be events that occur in real life, but to present them as entertainment is, in my view, contentious.
amateur sociologist. that's rich. so was frank. and anyone else that is paying attention.
His last year on the road.
Do you hear what he says about the failure of our educational system to effectively teach children how to read and write, never mind understand the concept of satire?
Well it’s become exceedingly worse since then, thanks in large part to political correctness and parents who aren’t parents at all.
As for some of the other comments left here, I don’t think Frank would be too impressed.
The interviewer is excellent, but her Boston baked bean, heavy New England accent is a hoot.
And I live in the Bay State.
Thanks for sharing you thoughts!
@@Lagzatzappateers You’re most welcome.
And I think you can see in his eyes a blank expression and occasionally he winces as if in pain.
@@paulinebutcherbird Hope all is well with you, Pauline.
Don’t know if you recall, but I previously had stated that I enjoyed reading your book about Frank and the Mothers.
me like zappa
me like your comment
That's the last thing you need -> a bunch of people from Connecticut, New York, Vermont, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, & New Jersey at a Zappa concert registering to vote in Massachusetts. NOTHING could go wrong there.
17 minutes LOL, he's as high as a kite. Viva Zappa.
Frank was strictly ant-drug.
