We have barely used any paper towels for the past 4 or 5 years. I would say we got through MAYBE 6 rolls a year. I made unpaper towels from 100% cotton flour sack towels and I love them. They are just now starting to break down. I can use my own nontoxic cleaner of choice and everything goes into the washer and then into the dryer on the sanitize setting. The real paper towels that we use are mainly used to clean up pet messes or when I need to clean up cooking oil. We also use cloth napkins all the time which helps cut down on paper towels. When everything started disappearing in my area we never had to worry about them and we invested in a bidet so we haven't had to buy paper towels or toilet paper in about 4 months.
Hello Noreen!!! And a BIG THANK YOU!!! This is a perfect solution for the cleaning/disinfecting wipes I am not able to find ANYWHERE! Great Solution!!! Thank you for sharing this!!!💖
I worked in a local restaurant in the 90's and we used similar reusable disinfectant clothes. I've been doing this at home since then! Money saver for sure.
I've been doing this for several years in my bathroom with washcloths that are beginning to show some wear. Love it. I hadn't thought to use the microfiber cloths, though, besides which I've had a hard time finding any that I actually like. We go through way too many paper towels to suit me, so I'll be switching over to this system for my kitchen, too. The great thing about the color selection is that you can assign colors to certain rooms. Great idea, Noreen. Thanks!
Tks I have the cloths and Lock and Locks. Been buying from QVC a long time. Cloths are great and you get a lot when they have one of the specials. L&L my favorite, got way to many, lol.❤️👍good idea!
Thank you for this video Noreen and the links to these products. I ordered mine on the easy payment plan. Now I have to wait till July 9th but that's ok. I'm so excited to get them and start using them.
I've used towels for over 5 years. I use regular Terry towels. I cut them then either zig zag the sides or if you have a serger that works great too We all have old towels. Use it then re use it. Think of the money you'll save.
One source advises hanging microfiber towels to dry, instead of putting them in the dryer. I can't remember the rationale for this; but, this is what I do.

Why not keep the wipes dry and stock the cleaning solution in a spray bottle. When you need to use it just spray the cleaning solution on the microfiber cloth or on the surface to be cleaned and use it. That way there will be no worry for mouldy n slimy wipes that are used late.
These are not moldy. Nor do they get slimy. I also have dry cloths and cleaning spray. We use them for different things. Wet wipes are a necessity in our house. You can do whatever works for you.

Brilliant!
This is exactly why these items, plus all items should be MADE IN the USA. Gives American people jobs and keeps our money here in country.
agreed!
Can you go straight from washer and skip dryer?
I don’t know. But it may not absorb as much if it’s not completely dry.

So what is the recipe for the solution?
Will these wipes disenfect surfaces?
If you use disinfectant cleaner

I use Thieves cleaner from Young Living. Not just the oil
Second request. What is the recipe for your favorite cleaner that you poured over the microfiber cloths? Think that is such a good idea. Thanks
I followed the directions on the bottle of concentrated Thieves cleaner from Young Living.
I use spray and towel
👍

BLESSINGS
Paper towels and facial tissues all have plastic in them. That’s why I went off them.
Can I get the recipe for your cleaner for the cleaning wipes.
There is no recipe. I use concentrated Thieves cleaner from Young Living and followed the directions on the bottle.
You could use Dr Bronners with your own essential oil added in.. maybe a citrus oil
@@lynngoeas9390 Thank you!
