I guess a brown chocolate of your choice would also work. I've never tried it, but in my head it sounds good. :)

Becky, When my 3 kids was young teenagers I was a single mother and I worked and went to college both, fulltime. We survived off of 30 day bulk freezer meals and crockpots. One of the request from my kids was chicken nuggets, so i would take one day on the weekend and made between 150-200 chicken nuggets. Cook them enough to lightly brown them but not fully cooked. Then froze them. The kids could pull out a few at a time and pop into the oven to cook at their leisure. There was no way i could go through the trouble of making them every time they wanted some! If i was goingbto make them, might as well make plenty to last several meals.

Hi Becky. I wanted to answer a few questions you had for viewers in some of your episodes.
    1) Use a magazine holder to store your silicone storage bags.
    2) the fronts of your island drawers were a popular design trend in the 2000's for an "old fashioned general store" look. People filled the acrylic cabinet fronts with dried pasta noodles, dried beens, etc.
I really enjoy your shows, thank you for sharing your talents with us!

That method of coating the chicken is also how I do zucchini when I make Hobak Jeon which is a Korean pan-fried fritter. Just slice up some zucchini into rounds about a 1/4 of an inch thick, sprinkle it with some salt and wait until it's pretty flexible. Coat in flour or cornstarch and then egg. Fry it up and serve with a dipping sauce of 2 parts soy sauce and 1 part rice vinegar.
I'm growing gochugaru in my garden this year. I'm hoping to be able to make my own Korean chili flakes. Wish me luck!

When you were making the honey mustard chicken marinade, I thought of this new honey I got called Mike's Hot Honey. It's infused with chilies, but it isn't too hot. I've actually used some on French toast & it was delicious. Maybe something you might like to try out.

I was tasting them rice krispie squares along with you 😊
Also, I've added a sprinkle of granola, cornflakes, unsweetened shredded coconut & any cereals that were almost empty. Even bran flakes that no one in the house liked. 😂 Great way to use up undesirables, by slathering marshmallows on it, but the trick is just keep krispies to half of dry mixture.
Enjoy & thank you for what you do.

We make those fried chicken nuggets about once a month. I just fry them until they're done in the pan and then whip up an array of sauces for dipping--usually honey mustard for my husband, ranch for our girls, and then bbq for me! We love it--and it's a nice alternative to fried chicken. I'll try your sweet and sour sauce next time. Looks delicious!

Becky, I mix my egg with flour and a little water, put my chicken pieces in the "pancake like batter" and fry them. It doesn't require having to dip in flour and egg separately. You may want to try that to speed things up.

For the sweet and sour, I cut sugar in half, omit catsup and add a pint jar of orange marmalade, plum or peach jam. Plum is my favorite. I also add sesame oil. As long as you have the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil almost any fruit jam is delicious. General Tso's is simple too.

Thank you so much for sharing the chicken prep. Such a great idea I am so going to do this! Also, thank you for the onion freezer idea. I just love it. Now I have onions all the time and chopped up ready to go. They defrost so quickly and I do like you say double bag so the freezer doesn't smell up. I am so excited you shared this new idea. Saves so much time for making dinner for the family.

Great stuff. Those rice crispy treats were huge, but they looked so good. I can't wait to try the honey mustard chicken. When I make sweet n sour chicken, its the opposite of yours. I cube the chicken and then coat it in batter before I fry it. We make the sweet n sour sauce separate and serve it oven the chicken balls, which are crispy. I'm in Scotland, UK, so maybe thats why we use a different recipe. Thank you so much for sharing xx

I was pleasantly surprised to get my scoby and a one gallon jar for 3 dollars because i had rewards! I have canned asian chicken it is awesome I did put 1 teaspoon of sesame oil in it. I have some frozen mangoes but that was a good tip for me because i love mangos and i have heard of canning juice so thats a great idea too i love reading comments and finding good tips there too!

Becky Josh Sprout Fellow Commentators. I was just thinking your mom's master shopping list would be great for a basic list for your freezer controll/ shopping list. I keep my freezer list on top of the chest freezers and on the door of the fridge freezer. The actual shopping list could be on an inside cabinet door in the kitchen...whatever you open MOST.
Watching you enjoy the fruits of your labor (brown butter krispie treats) was a vicarious delight. Hugs to all from Mexico Jim

If you spray waxed paper or parchment paper with non=stick spray and lay it on top of the rice krispie treats and press down on the treats they are so much more compact.
