You got me back in the canning when I have not canned in almost 2 years and the food prep, and wanted to be healthy for my husband and my children, I thank you. You are very humble and I learn a lot from you.
Same here ... I started canning and had really quite some success with it. But because nobody of my friends, neighbours or acquaintances cans I gave up on it ... lack of stimulation I suppose ... Thank you so much ... 🎉
Remember if anyone makes these sauces let them cool before putting the lids on or they will get condensation inside the jar. Better to let it cool then cap it and put it in the fridge x
**Growing Tip:You can take your green onion bottoms/roots, prop them up in a small shallow bowl, add some water to cover them halfway. Place them in a bright window. Change water every few days. They will grow and you can plant them in your garden :)
Hi there @lotus. 😁 Just wanted to respond to you since I was thinking the same thing when I was watching and we generally don’t get any acknowledgment to comments with everyone being so busy these days. I have been using the same green onions that I started that way in my flower pot on my back porch (off the kitchen) since I planted in January! I feel like it’s a personal challenge now to see how long I can keep these little champs going! Just incredible! My husband puts them in his cottage cheese with salt and pepper. 👍 Have a super day! Hugs from Vancouver Island B.C., Canada ❤🇨🇦❤
I jus put mine in cup from my 1st bunch of onions I got this year, the bigger ones i cut tops off n am drying them n put in fridge to keep on hand, 💞💖💞❗...
If those green onions were store bought or had been in the fridge for an extended period of time, they will think they are on their second year and grow scapes. I let one go to seed, and now have hundreds of green onion seeds from one regrown root.
My caramel is even easier. Heat the sugar on its own without water, on medium to high heat(quicker), add the butter next when it’s the right colour, saves all that frothing up, then the milk or cream and return to the heat if necessary to thicken it. Easy peasy, but like your friend said - don’t take your eyes off it!
You can make caramel with just a can of condensed milk a crockpot and water. Take the paper off the can put in crockpot add water over top off can cook on low over night next day you'll have a can of caramel

I loved the way you could not contain your smile when you tasted the salted caramel sauce. It has that effect on me too!😍😂 Thank you for all your sharing. I make salted caramel sauce with just canned coconut milk , brown sugar, salt and vanilla. Let coconut milk and brown sugar simmer till thick. Take off heat and add salt and vanilla. That’s it! Soooooo good! Use on deserts and to make the best iced coffees. ❤ (Full fat coconut milk. The new Azure coconut milk works amazingly for this recipe!)
Lids: you can also use mayo lids and 16 oz peanut butter lids and they fit in mason jars!!! once I open a jar, I'll reuse the PB jars while the jar is in use/ in the fridge.

I don't like coffee... but that looked good! I've got to get some of those lids too! I recently FINALLY got all the pasta, grains, baking essentials and just all the stuff into jars. Some are canning jars, some are older jars... different sizes and types. I love it! I've learned that if I like a jar but the lid isn't silver I can simply spray paint it my color! Easy! I've even reused jars from pasta sauce. Alot of them have measurement markings on the side. I'm loving my clean, neat, shiny glass kitchen!!!
Caramel sauce is made with white sugar and butterscotch is made with brown sugar. Just like broth is made with the meat and possibly skin and stock is made with bones and possibly the meat and skin.
I use the shake container lids from the Store bought grated cheeses on my Mason jars! Black & Green ones, both!! Brilliant way to shake out all the freeze dried herbs, onions and tomatoes I have sitting next to my stove!! But I love those airtight lids as well. I think I have four or five boxes, too!
I am so glad you showed us how you followed this recipe for the first time. I have watched a dozen video on how to make caramel but I am so afraid of not doing it perfect and screwing it up. You did a few things other videos warned not to do, ie adding cold cream but you handled it like a pro. I think I'm ready to give it a try. I mean how bad could it be if I make a little mistake?
Becky, I have been stockpiling your videos for when we welcomed baby number 5. I've missed you! So happy to have a stash of Becky to watch while new baby and I bond!
Becky, this I absolutely one of my most favorite videos of yours because you shared how to make Ives’s coffee, chocolate sauce & salted caramel sauce!!! Thank You!!! Also, your breakfast baked sounds amazing and I will try it too.
Everything looks so yummy. I love cold brew, but it already uses a lot more coffee & I like my coffee super strong, so I have a hard time making cold brew strong enough. I know add more coffee, but I hate using that much. It's a once in a very great while treat lol. You can dip a silicone brush in water to brush off any sugar crystals that get in the side of the pan. I like mine darker, so may try some Karo to see if it stays more pourable when cold. I usually don't add water either. It takes less time since you're not waiting for the water to cook out but you really really have to watch it
You are literally as precious as the days are long. I am so glad I found your channel. I love your videos and recipes-it’s everything I want to watch. Thank you for your work!
My husband makes me cold brew in the French press. He just grinds the beans, puts them in the French press with cold water, and puts it in the fridge overnight. The next morning when I wake up I just push the plunger down and enjoy my cold brew!
Taco's love them myself. When I cook ground beef, I always add potatoes, Hatch green chiles (mild), garlic, salt, and pepper. I picked up how to make these type taco meat from New Mexico. After adding this meat in your taco, rhen you add your cheese, beans, salsa ect....
And we appreciate you! I love that you made those sauces and are always so honest during the process! You may read and re-read the recipes you find, but know that’s what I do when making your recipes that are new to me that I want to try!!! I feel like we’ve been best friends for years and always want to call and talk to you about your shows! Like how much I love those jeans and wish I knew where you got them! Have a wonderful trip and “can’t wait to see ya next time”! -Emily
When I make caramel sauce I never add the water when cooking down the sugar, it's a bit more tricky and you really have to watch the sugar like a hawk because when it starts to melt it can burn really quickly, but I found each time I used water to cook down the sugar I just get huge sugar crystal that are super hard to melt. Also never use anything metal to stir with it'll mess up the temp, just use wood or silicone
If you combine the cocoa powder and sugar it will dissolve in the sauce easier. My grandmother taught me that ands it keeps those little chocolate lumps from being so stubborn to dissolve.
I love caramel/ butterscotch flavoured anything! Thanks for sharing! It was so easy watching you🥰 but I must try this sauce! Yummy cooking & I hope you had a fabulous time with friends! 🤗💜🇨🇦

Mmm caramel! I've made it with sweetened condensed milk in the Instant Pot, whisk in some butter at the end. For cold brew, I have a 2qt mason jar with an infuser insert + pouring spout handle. Works great. I also own the 1qt size for all sorts of infusions.
Wonder if she can just give credit for source, same way you would in a term paper? Or else… if you change anything in recipe I think it becomes a ‘new’ recipe
You should consider getting a milk frother. SO much less work and washing up than using the blender. I have a warming milk frothers and absolutely LOVE it. One of the best kitchen gadgets I own. It froths regular milk very well. I'm not into gadgets, but this is a good exception.
The sauces look easy and great. You always make everything look so easy. I have tried a couple of preservation’s and they have turned out flawlessly. Thanks for sharing.
Both sauces look amazing. I can't wait to make them both. I'm having an iced coffee right along with ya. Thanks for the fun time and great recipes. Also, your bread recipes are a huge hit and I make them often now.
Hi Friend, you were standing at your stove making the caramel sauce your lilac sweatshirt was matching your beautiful flowers outside. What a lovely sight ! 😀
Hi Becky! I absolutely love your videos! My husband has even started watching the videos with me. Lol .... the joy of retirement . I love all your ideas and gardening tips. Thanks for all you share with us. The food looks amazing as well. We just got done watching you make the carmel sauce & chocolate sauce. I looked for the recipes but couldn't find them. Have you linked them yet?
I'm 33. Growing up my mom taught me how to make candy by testing it in cold water. I was initially excited to get a candy thermometer, but it's seriously useless junk in my kitchen. Once you master candy making, family movie nights with candied popcorn it really easy. My kids always ask for specific colors
If you pull the Saran Wrap out, put the dish on top and wrap it up and around to the top, you’ll have a better seal and will use less wrap. You won’t have to wrap twice. Just a quick tip from someone who has been through a lot of tray wrapping in a commercial kitchen. 😁
Definitely going to make the chocolate sauce and salted caramel sauce, and the cold brew! Im a coffee addict and I’m always spending too much $ so this video was great!!
Did you know a normal mayo container lid also fits on the mason jars? I keep all my lids when my mayo runs out and repurpose them on my jars 😊

Freeze the carmel and chocolate sauce in tiny ice cube trays. Just enough for the coffee. Yummy! Looks so good.

The dutch use wax paper to wrap cheese so the bees wax cloth is spot on as a good wrapper for cheese.
Becky, this I absolutely one of my most favorite videos of yours because you shared how to make Ives’s coffee, chocolate sauce & salted caramel sauce!!! Thank You!!! Also, your breakfast baked sounds amazing and I will try it too.
Thank you Crystal for making Becky so happy 😊
I love watching you, are so family oriented, cherish your mom and dad, I still have my .mamma but my dad has gone home woth the Lord, and two siblings
Sorry this broken message .u are so real, love that. How is baby acre is boy or girl. I bet she's beautiful. Have a wonderful day.
The cold brew looks soooo delicious. I will definitely be trying that recipe
It takes less time since you're not waiting for the water to cook out but you really really have to watch it
You can throw coffee grounds in the garden as fertilizer and to keep certain pests away.
I love that you are so real! Made the breakfast for dinner, breakfast for your vacation, then rethought tonight’s dinner. Yep tacos are the best.
Becky, you need to make tea towels or potholders or a mason jar that say, "that's incredible". Love your videos.
I love those container lids you're talking about. I bought them off of Temu and their great. Got both sizes.
-Emily
I make my caramel sauce in my Pampered Chef cooking blender. Love it!
Love the two sauces for cold coffee. Have fun out of town. You are a doll.🎉
Same here
If you combine the cocoa powder and sugar it will dissolve in the sauce easier.
I would absolutely love it if you could publish your own cookbook someday Becky! You give me so much inspiration in the kitchen!
Yes! I agree! Finally a cookbook with normal ingredients 😂
@@PinkLemonade2020 these aren't but she does have many on her blog she could put in.
Wonder if she can just give credit for source, same way you would in a term paper? Or else… if you change anything in recipe I think it becomes a ‘new’ recipe
I love that you scrape your bowls and pans and don't leave any goodness for the dishwasher!
You should consider getting a milk frother. SO much less work and washing up than using the blender. I have a warming milk frothers and absolutely LOVE it. One of the best kitchen gadgets I own. It froths regular milk very well. I'm not into gadgets, but this is a good exception.
peanut butter jar(18 ounces) lids fit a regular mouth mason jar also
The sauces look easy and great. You always make everything look so easy. I have tried a couple of preservation’s and they have turned out flawlessly. Thanks for sharing.
A faster caramel is with a can of condensed milk with butter on low so it doesn’t burn. So delicious
I love your expressive eyeballs! They say everything!
I immediately made this caramel sauce! IT IS FANTASTIC! So incredibly easy! Thanks for sharing!
Where did you find the full recipe?
@@reginagiles6599 if you go to the description box… she has the link for this sauce! It’s out of this world! Enjoy
Oh my Becky, you just made my whole weekend! I’m going to my all these recipes. Thank you thank you💕
I love your green stalks and hanging baskets out your kitchen window. So pretty..
If you save the lids from the large jars of mayo and peanut butter they will fit on the quart small mouth jars.
Best Carmel sauce ever! I just made it and it’s DELICIOUS. dangerous stuff 😅
If you pull the Saran Wrap out, put the dish on top and wrap it up and around to the top, you’ll have a better seal and will use less wrap. You won’t have to wrap twice. Just a quick tip from someone who has been through a lot of tray wrapping in a commercial kitchen. 😁
I can’t wait to make the chocolate sauce for my coffee. I love cold brew. I make it all of the time even in winter! Thank you Becky💗
Try sweetened condensed milk, in the can, cooked in the instant pot. I make it this way for caramel for homemade icecream. So good and stinking easy!
I discovered that the lids from the PB we use (1lb jars) fit perfectly on a regular mouth mason jar
Becky you can stir Carmel sauce while it cook. In fact it’s better to stir it so it doesn’t burn
I am envious over your beautiful kitchen! Great video thanks, I am going to try the caramel sauce as it looks so yummy!
Oh I so adore all your facial expressions dear Becky! Have a beautiful day all! The caramel and chocolate sauces look so yummy!
Definitely going to make the chocolate sauce and salted caramel sauce, and the cold brew! Im a coffee addict and I’m always spending too much $ so this video was great!!
