This happened to one of my friends. She ate a single ice cream at dinner and didn't eat through the whole day. I genuinely know how it feels to watch someone hurting themselves believing it's right, and you keep telling them it's not, even if other people say it is. You wish you could force them to eat healthy but you're helpless, they are stubborn.
That makes me feel sorry for my friend. Because I know I can be really stubborn and expectialy towards her. I feel guilty for placing her in that position. Recently we went on a school trip and since we are old enough we didn't had provided meals we had hours which they gave us for buying or going somewhere to eat. And for all 3 days of the trip I only ate one slice of pizza and of course just because she forced me to. But she tried all the time to do it for those 3 straight days. And one of the nights we were drinking and we were left alone for some time (the rest had gone to the toilet) and I tried to look at the calories on the beer she just said in tired voice " stop looking at the calories ". It would be better if she still didn't knew about it for me and for her.
I was Anorexic, I went to therapy and got better, then I relapsed back into the disorder, then went back to therapy for help. Now I'm out of therapy again, and I'm scared that I'm going to start relapsing again.
don’t be afraid. you’re going to make it❤️ i believe in you. you’re strong and you can handle anything. talk with someone about your fears sometimes it’s really helpful and you’ll feel relieved. this is really hard and i totally understand that, but if you keep pushing yourself forward and believe in yourself. trust me. you can handle everything

f96 I think you have to look into the context a bit deeper. Kikis friends have noticed that she is suffering from an eating disorder, and is desperately trying to lose weight. They understand that she is not going vegan because of the health benefits, but only to lose weight. That is what concerns her friends, and that is why it is a problem. They are not trying to say that going vegan is bad, but rather that they see it as a sign that her eating disorder is getting worse, because they know she is going vegan for all the wrong reasons. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say
It's also really common for individuals with eating disorders to hide behind the guise of vegetarianism/veganism as an excuse to eat less food. Also, many individuals may develop orthorexia which is the fixation on only eating "healthy" foods.
