- I Found Hope my free flighted Catalina macaw after he flew away at the White Sand national park in New Mexico.
He was lost for 3 days in the white desert dunes after a crow chase him away.
Watch how I got my miracle and how the impossible was made possible.
It's a miracle that he is still alive.

I find this interesting that people are bashing me for free flying.
I honestly don’t mind if people clip or not, but I can’t stand it when people get mad at others for giving their birds the freedom of flight.
I give my birds / babies
HOPE, FAITH,DESTINY AND ANGEL
THE CHOICE TO FLY.
IT IS LOVE.
It’s NOT stupidity, NOT not carry, NOT Selfishness, NOT un-ethical, NOT dumbness and NOT IMPOSSIBLE OWNERSHIP!
I LOVE MY BABIES SO MUCH.
I REFUSED to clip their wings and lock them up in my house or cage forever
THAT WOULD BE SELFISHNESS!
JUST BECAUSE THEY FLEW away I’m not stopping to free fly them.
I’m just more careful and concerned flying them in new locations.
They have the whole sky to explore.
They should explore.
Birds have wings for a reason.
They are made to fly.
I WILL ALWAYS LET THEM FLY!!!

When I got my first bird he already had wings clipped , I'm glad you let your birds feel free and didn't give up :D
I am so happy you got your bird back! I just drove from Arizona to new Mexico to pick up a donkey so I know exactly where you just were. It looks like snow. Crows live on my property and they are the main reason I'm afraid of taking my parrot out.

They are living things to and they will eventually learn not to venture to far from there mom because they are like children. They can’t be told they have to figure it out them selves. I don’t have a bird but I have a dog and there is no harm in letting them explore a little to experience nature and the life that they were meant to have. We aren’t worthy of having such beings in our lives. Any animals in that matter. And we are so very blessed to have them in are lives. So as long as there not being abused it’s fine.

I was about to cry when he got lost. You where searching the whole place for 3 DAYS! That just shows how loving you are and how much you love your bird and that your determined and how your serious about this. It's people like you we need for people who are crule to bird that just keep them in cages for the longest time.

No matter how often I see this video I still am moved to tears as you are reunited with your beautiful baby birds. It's so heartwarming to feel the love you have for your feathered family. I just love them!! I have been to whitesands many times and have always been struck by it magnificent size, so easy to get lost in and so hard to search for lost animal friends. Take care Carolin it's such a vast land mark and it is so easy to get lost. I am so glad you used faith & God to help you find your lost children. omg my heart for you, only i know this was yrs. ago and all is well, i was 19 hours doing the same this weekend, i nearly lost my voice calling him but omg that place is huge and there's no food for him to find..so glad all ended well. Go hope surviving that
Thank God that you found Hope back. He sure was in a poor state. Good that you took Angel with you, Hope's best friend. He was dehydrated and undernourished. I felt so sorry for you. But Hope survived his "adventure" and I think something like this will never happen to him again.
Hope has been through a lot; he is a strong bird.

Carolin, I want to tell you what I have done after losing my CAG twice. I don't freefly yet, but I have put a "TILE" on his tether. So If he takes off with it, I can use my phone to help pin him down. You have to be 200 ft in range, but the GPS will show when you are and then there is a tone that gets stronger as you get closer. Last time he had a tether on him and went out of my sight, but he turned and came back without me seeing. I was searching the wrong area, but in the end found him. The TILE would have narrowed the search immensely. You could have Hope wear one on a halter maybe hooked and stuck with some 3M tape on his back when free flying. I don't want to see you going through this again --- I know the feelings !

I got the Tile Sport which is about 14gr. Hope wouldn't even know it was there and I bet the amazons could carry it no problem as well . I hope I never have to use it but if he gets away again I'll be glad I got it. Never say Never.
@@SnacPacCraz omg that's a fantastic idea, id still love the marshal telemetry but till i can get it, ill need one of these it would have saved us on every occasion I've lost sight of my bird. our birds don't fly off that's never a worry but its other factors bigbie is a strong flyer but its always when seagulls or crows enter the situation things can go south

Hi Carol, Thank you for sharing your videos of your free flying PARROTS. I love watching them fly. I understand perfectly why you let them free fly. Your love for them is why you fly them and they love you because of it. One good thing is they are less likely to fly off again. I'm absolutely sure they missed you and were scared too when lost. Wow, you were so lucky to find him!! I got through that checkpoint all the time. You're right about people getting lost and dying out in the White Sands Park. You have to be careful not to lose your way out there. It's amazing Hope went to the border patrol checkpoint, maybe he thought if he got near humans that they would contact you somehow. He's so smart!

Carolin, I think you are doing great with your birds. I can see you love your birds Sooo much. Don't ever change what you do with them. Some people are just to judgmental. Being a bird, a dog, or any animal owner they are gonna get away. That's just normal. What you are doing with your birds makes them happy. Some people don't care. You do. I remember Hope from this, my heart melted at the time and it was a bit of a metaphor for me not to give up at the time - as Caroline never gave up. I hope and pray Hope is doing ok after his damaged wing x.
I feel really happy for you my dog got lost we let him go to the bathroom without a leash he always comes back until we waited for a long time and he didn't come back so we started to look for him and yelling his name and he didn't come back. We started to pray after we yelled his name and we heard a bark. Later that night we had found out he crossed the street to a pet hospital sort of near to our house. Thus kind hearted lady called us saying our dog was a her house she said that my dog had been chasing a dog. So miracles can happen❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

Aww I love it! Sadly I have budgies that live in cages but that cuz we have a cat. But when I'm old anough I'm gonna get a bird that I'll teach to do this. If yt is around and you still make vids I'll follow your steps! 😃😃 congrats on finding the gorgeous birds!
You could let them fly in a room without the cat I have a budgie bunny n cat n nobody is shut in a cage

They love you so much and will likely stick around after being lost. I love watching them free fly. Yes it's a risk but,they love the exercise.

I hope you took him to the vet! I am sorry, but you are taking big chances with the birds you love.
Going to all the places and asking if the people want to keep the photos as a souvenir is a bit obnoxious to me. Particularly when the shop clark said it was ok and was being nice, you insisted in him keeping it because the picture of your bird is pretty. I know you love your birds like crazy, we all love our birds. But have you considered that maybe others just dont really care about a pretty photo of someone elses bird? Maybr it's just my cultural upbringing that makes me feel that. This has happened before to me, but in the end i go to the places I've been to take off the fliers, and just thank then with all my heart. Not, "you can keep this as a souvenir."
Kitty Vo, I felt the same way. I wouldn't have wasted time collecting them even .I would have gotten my birds to the nearest avian vet to have them checked out. Then maybe, after I found my birds were ok, I would have contacted them to thank them and let them know the birds were found. I wouldn't have waited several days until I got back home to have my bird checked out that is for certain.

Potnia Agrotera, Amen to both your recent comments. Have you watched Adventures of Roku on RUclips? That is Free Flying done right. He gives his birds the choice to go fly on a daily basis but he doesn't force the issue. If they get in their carriers he takes them out. If they don't want to they don't get in. One of his macaws hasn't flown for a couple of months because she was molting then it got real hot. They are in Australia so it's summer there and very hot. His cockatoo, on the other hand had been flying some because he is an Australian bird.

Omg hope live in the cold for 3 DAYS and id not original bird he is a special bird
My bird never liked other birds outside, her name was juju. She wanted me only, she was boss in my apt. A couple times she was hiding uber the bed. She died a few years ago, so did have of me. Her name was juju. My baby pigeon. She was on my bed with me. Other times n top of shelf highest place . She cried when about to lay egg.. and wanted to be alone. She laid egg only in one place, after she was feeling better. Back on my shoulder, cooking with me cleaning with me. she was my boss. She ate everything, so l left rice, she would eat later on her time. She knew when l arrive home from work. I fed juju from childhood. A couple of times she woke me up from dreaming nightmare. By cooing at my ears. After watching you , l liked to share it with you. After she died, l cried for weeks. I meditated one day, saw her going up the sky. Her grave is under a tree l can overlook at it. In memory of juju.thanks for reading my story.

Well my neighbour's parrot called a sun conure and I felt bad and I actually found the bird by myself while walking home with friends and I returned the parrot :)I'm glad to find my neighbour's parrot!

Birds need to fly. They get depressed if they are stuck in a cage or clipped. It also helps them survive from being attacked by dogs and cats in the home. Flying also gives them a stronger respiratory system. There is nothing more beautiful as having your bird fly to you. It shows how he wants to be with you
