it's where the oil pump bolts to the front of the engine, Mat just ported the oil feed because the pump we used doesn't line up perfectly, we're using a silvertop 20v oil pump on a 7afe block because its stronger and has higher flow so it just needed slight modification
Do I have to use a knock sensor on this build? Can it be blanked off? What can I use to blank it off if it can as the ecu I'm using is not a very advanced ecu like haltech, etc
Could be a vacuum leak somewhere else 🤷♂️ there are a lot of vacuum lines on a standard 4a or even a gasket leak Very difficult to diagnose in a messaging but if you google it you’ll find heaps of old forum posts that could help
@@NEVER-LIFT Yeah I was seeing that as well... wanted to the swap seeing I threw bearings on my BT block and can't source a crankshaft.. but I think imma throw a normal 4A block for the time being... But I love how the build is
Mat has a ke70 with a blacktop 20v turbo conversion, it’s a monster setup that’s currently making 400hp but we’re currently filming a series on his new engine that he’s aiming to get 800hp out of which is also a 1.6 20v
sheldon mccook apparently not as Mat said he had to go over a full tooth on the cam gears and he had adjustability but he did say he had adjustable cam gears
Mat has a 4age bell housing that he bolts to the engine stand and when he finishes an engine he can just hook up the starter and use a battery to turn it over. He does this with all customers engines on completion and he sends out a video if the customer can’t come to the shop
Plus the dial gauge to check the cam lift, love to see it, refer to the cam sheet....
Mate this has been such a great series with some excellent insider knowledge, thanks for sharing.
no problem thanks for the feedback
Hey thanks for the part numbers for the knock and stud, it's one of the last things on my list!
No problem
At 1:17 you show a before and after picture of a hole on the block and mention more oil flow. Can you elaborate on where that modification is done?

Also- can you share what timing belt you used and where to get one?
it's from a Porsche and MRP in new Zealand do a kit to make it easy
Where your degree wheel to do the cam timming. I love to see it....
wait so is that the same distributor from the car but with just a different cover? Im so confused

Are you using a 4age water pump or 7a ?
4age RWD Water Pump
Hey good day I'm having a problem with my 4AGE 16v not idling properly even when I unplug the vacuum hose from the Map sensor

Hey how would this work with the 20v BT head?
much the same I just prefer 16v, Plenty of people have done the same with 20v heads in the past

@@ItsKeem thanks
What kind of 20v conversion is he running

subscribed bro! :)
Cheers mate 😄
@@NEVER-LIFT can i ask how to shim 4age oil pump to bump up oil pressure? tnx mate
Novski Kepes we didn’t install a pressure up kit on my car but SQ engineering sells one
You didn’t show us how to dial in the cam lift....
Proper!! 🤤
do i have to use me mrp crack gear with the new key way?

How did you turn the motor over to check the oil pressure?
