- Engine Bay Detailing with WD 40 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited
In this video we are going to be showing you how to do an engine bay detailing on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited. When it comes to detailing an engine bay we recommend using WD 40 to lubricate and prevent electronic components from rusting. Once the dust has been blown out of the engine bay then we can proceed spraying a thin cap of WD 40 all over the engine bay. After that we proceed with wiping down the engine bay then air spraying the final details.

Thank you for sharing but the only thing you did was temporarily shine up the engine bay and turn it in to a dirt and dust trap because of the wd 40, not to mention it’s petroleum based so it’s going to degrade the plastics and rubber. Also you most likely got some on your serpentine belt. Bay looks shiny but you didn’t actually take any dirt and grime OUT of it.
Alfredo, thanks for sharing this! Here is a question I have, surely you take great care of not spraying the WD40 on the belts and pulleys? I have watched a few videos now and I'm confused, because I would think people would cover the pulleys but I don't see anybody care about that? So do you spray over belt and pulleys or not?
You can put wd40 on the belts
Awesome video. Thank you!
Thanks
