How do you make long wide slices with the mandolin?
Exactly! This is why I'm here, and this video doesn't cover it, not even close!
The mandolin should have a stand for support.
First, you made slices. I get how to do that. Then, you made 2 different types of strips, though you still called them slices. I don't understand how you made the strips or what kind of blade you used for the strips. Please explain. Thank you.
Lol yea she didn't explain what blade or how the blade was designed to make those strips. I was confused at first as well
At 00:37 you can see the perpendicular blades, I think the different is what makes the slices if that makes sense. And then for the 2nd string slice 00:46 you can see the same perpendicular blades

Be sure to post the video when you slice your fingers off because you were not using the handguard on that mandoline. Oh! And the video of the court case when somebody sues you for having an instructional video using a mandolins without a handguard. Sorry for being so sarcastic, but I think if you are posting an instructional video you have a responsibility to show the proper safety precautions.

I sliced my thumb on the mandolin two months ago. Thank God it healed correctly. Never again! Now I use thick oven gloves
