He's just a troll. What he's saying doesn't actually work. That's not how you dice an onion. There's a good reason why everyone else in the world cuts an onion the normal correct way. If you don't do the horizontal cuts you're just left with big long bits of onion around the edges. There's also not much of a point taking the tip out like he did instead of cutting it off or even the root for that matter before dicing but some people say the root has dirt on it if you leave it till near the end of the process. Overall pretty bad video with incorrect information.

I’m a 78 YO woman who has been cooking for about 70 of those years. I married into a large Missouri family with fantastic cooks my family on the other hand came from Holland and my Oma never seemed to get the knack of good cooking. So for me and my husband it was OTJT. we are pretty good, love cooking and are always trying. BUT for me after finding you and your channel I have become such a better cook! I’ve bought several of your products and love them. Thank you so much. I am going to make your turkey gravy for Thanksgiving. For the first time in a long while our whole family will be together and my husband is the pot maker and I am always made the gravy from the drippings. That has resulted I’m me being in the hot kitchen wishing away at the “glue“. This time I’ll have made it a couple of days in advance so no miss no fuss. Yeah! Thank you chef. Happy holidays to you and Jack and families.

*Mr. Jean Pierre,* I am a new father as of a year ago, or at least still feels like new -and these videos have helped me beyond belief in cooking amazing dishes for my son Lincoln (link) and wife Makenzie, I am 23 years old.. and to have the knowledge of a legendary chef at my fingertips feels undeserving. May god bless you with the most wholesome lives and of course the honor, of a true chef. you definitely have an infectious personality for a good reason sir.
