It is a good promising step in the right direction... But, now, the engine industry will need to do its part as well. I believe we cannot to rely only on the over development of each time more powerful batteries. We also will need to have access to engines that save energy the most they can. It will be a combination of both those 2 worlds that will to make the car of the future!...
That's a really intelligent comment. Yes, hybrid technology can be more advantageous where the shortcomings of one technology can be overcome by another. This would have been in the future goals of these brands.
There are many ways to improve range, frictionless bearings, lighter vehicles less friction in the parts getting power to the wheels, maybe a motor mounted at each wheel no not on the rim yet. Motors are relatively decent at saving energy 97% efficienty i believe but it can only get better.
It was only a matter of time, there were so many breakthroughs in different areas of solid state battery design, but it was when NASA announced their solid state batteries that things started looking really promising and not hype.
Sure hope it works. That would be great. We just have to wait and see the legacy automobile makers that manufacture ice cars are certainly hoping it doesn’t work that I am certain enough.
@@FuturisticTechandAI We have some company somewhere announcing new battery tech every week. Nothing is shipping. The fundamental problem is that they don't scale.
Yeah, you are right. They must have found some issues since the application is still in the early stages. Hopefully, as they overcome those issues, they would definitely like to scale and make it accessible to everyone.
Sodium? It has a melting point of about 98 degrees Celsius. Lithium has a melting point of about 181 degrees Celsius. Both metals will react to water or moisture in the air. Which one do you think is more volatile? Also, sodium is mostly extracted from salt. One of the byproduct is Chlorine gas. What do we do with the excess Chlorine gas?
Well, these are some of the reasons that restrict their application. But hopefully, these issues will get resolved over time and people will get a more sustainable solution.
Yeah, they will be definitely expensive at this stage, but hopefully, they will get cheaper with time as the tech industry proceed. Moreover, it should be noted that there is a massive difference in the use of these batteries by NASA when compared with the EVs. For EVs $1M isn't a choice.
IM not a green bs energy supporter , but even i seem to notice A CONCERTED EV BASHING NARRATIVE . It looks like the main stream players are RUNNING SCARED OF CHINA DISRUPTION
dongfeng should pronouns as dungfung, dongfong, sounds 'don't phone' but not 'down thing'. u keep repeating the wrong pronunciation a hundred times throughout the video let people think u r amateur not professional.

True 😅
This channel continuously inspires me 😊
Glad to hear that
DongFeng is read Dongfong instead. Sodium batteries are less energy density comparing to Lithium.
Which is fine for trucks, semi's, buses, boats, construction and other large transport.
Thank you for the correction 🙏
Thank you for the information.
Could you guys also find out if rapid charging on sodium ion batteries deteriorating or not and the life cycle lifespan of those batteries please
Thank you for the comment. We appreciate your interest. Please stay tuned, and we will soon make a video on this topic.
Very good
Thank you. Stay tuned for more such content.
I'd like to hear wether you will equip the Dongfeng Nano Box
with this new battery?
Based on the research, it's true that the Dongfeng Nano Box is equipped with Li battery.
practicality of Na solid state will lead to hurdles that these companies will need to address..
Yes, the research will improve the practicality as more and more companies try to find the applications of sodium batteries.
Sure hope it works. That would be great. We just have to wait and see the legacy automobile makers that manufacture ice cars are certainly hoping it doesn’t work that I am certain enough.
Yes, you are right.
Will it not overheat?
It's a valid question. There is not much information regarding this. But during use, they will identify and then solve such issues.
I drive a dogfeng and i ordered 8 mouth ago a remote key, to now i have nothing, the chaines company s have to learn what's Service is!
Thanks for the comment.
If this is true, did you mean 400 Million or Billion?
Its supposed to be $400,000
Come to switzerland pl.
With the advancement every day, hopefully, such technology will reach Switzerland soon.
Sure
Thank you for the comment
Time to NOT get excited about a NON-SHIPPING product--this EV.
This is just the beginning, we can hope that the next couple of products will be better and available everywhere.

NASA developed the solid state sodium battery for use IN SPACE. Have you seen
NASAs budget? You cant afford these batteries they are $1M each.
!

$400,000 Annual Sale is nothing to write home about … 🤔🤔
Yes, you are right, but considering it's just a beginning, that's worth it.
I like it. How much in Philippine pesos? Thank you 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🥇🥇🥇☕️☕️☕️👩🏽🦽👩🏽🦽👩🏽🦽
Its still cheap in any currency 🤣
Thank you 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳👩🏽🦽👩🏽🦽👩🏽🦽🥇🥇🥇

Yeah, its true to some extent.
Good luck for those buying Chinese na made car. Ha ha ha
Seem you are not happy with it.

Apologies for the mispronounciation. We will keep this in view in the next videos and try to maintain professionalism.
