I will be receiving my worksharp 3000 tomorrow the CEO there is a super nice guy and he even went as far as to give me a discount code and everything customer service is great. Can't wait to set mine up and get a few troubled chisels a face lift.
Yup WS3000 was a game-changer for me. I've been using chisels and planes for 45yrs but don't think I ever had a truly sharp one B4 the 3000. It makes sharpening a chisel as easy as sharpening a pencil.
Completely agree! Thanks for sharing!
It's almost like cheating!
Great video. Thanks for sharing!

Debtfreehomesteaders thanks buddy!
If Medusa was a wood worker she would turn to stone after sharpening her chisel, nice work Jimbo.
Jim your going to have to make a lock stop for the pullout on the work sharp station so it doesn't move while using safety first
Moonwolf71 I gotta figure out a sleek way of doing that! Any ideas?
@@lastingbuild1373 I took notice there is enough room above the slider to put a hole for a dowel with a square or rectangular piece glued to it that you could slip in when you have the drawer out a remove to put the drawer away it could hang there or go in the bottom drawer
I have one of these and absolutely LOVE it. I only do my chisels in this unit but man, it does it soooooooo fast and accurate. Much more accurate than me. And it allows you to cut a small microbevel when the blade dulls. No going back.
Thanks Paul! That makes two of us who love it!
@@lastingbuild1373 Use it once and you are hooked. It saves soooooo much time and results are easily accurate repeats. Whats no to love. There are soooo many sharpening systems out there but this one absolutely takes it.
That’s cool Jim. I must have missed those videos when I was under the weather. Will go back and catch up. Thank you
No worries! Hope you like them!
Well I expanded the video to full screen and got close to my computer and I still couldn't see my reflection in the chisel. I even tried to move my laptop at different angles, and still no go! Looks like a great tool, good job on the cabinet.
😂😂sounds like you definitely tried!
Great video, where did you get the glass wheels though??
I think two come with it. I put links to everything in description as well
Great video, I love that machine! Looks like you need a thumb lock or a pin holding your shelf in place. I would hate to see everything shift at the wrong time!
That’s a good idea! I’ll look into that
It sharpens carving tools well also, but you have to free hand most of em.
I’ll give that a try
How did you strop your bevel?
I did it freehand!
I could never justify spending $1000+ on a Tormak as a hobbyist. But I could for the Worksharp 3000 at only $199.00. Did you have to purchase other glass disks and leather disks for your set-up or do they come with the machine? I have been looking for a design for my sharpening station and this just may work. Thank you for sharing!
Jim, watch the video from Norton on freehand sharping, you'll find you won't need the work sharp! If you practice I guarantee you can get razor sharp on the back of masking tape, and you don't have to change the disks. To me what a pain!
Yes! I sharpened by hand for years. The worksharp has really reduced the time to a sharp chisel
Beautiful man. I see a bit of movement of the unit when you’re using it on the more abrasive disks...is that because it’s on the drawer slides?
I’ve heard of these but didn’t realize they were sold in the US.
Love it.
Yes! I’m gonna need to work on that! So far not a big deal but a little annoying!
LastingBuild nothing’s ever perfect buddy. Keep up the great work. 👌
👍🔥
Great video. But the title was misleading. I was hoping to see a video on wood finish.
My bad! Titles are not my strong point!
LMAO
They don’t sell the work sharp in the uk
Really! I did not know that!
move your face from the frame, put your hand behind what you need the camera to focus on. Just.. if you want people to actually see the edge.
