IMO, Boss blew it on the documentation. If it helps anyone: there's a slow blink and a fast blink to the bluetooth LED on the phones. The slow blink makes it try to pair MIDI, the fast blink makes it try to pair AUDIO. To get to the audio, hold the bluetooth button in until the slow blink turns faster. Now it will try to pair for audio (not midi).
Thank you for that info, I just spent 2 hours trying to pair AUDIO, with your advice it worked immediately, I can not believe that they did not put that in the manual. Thanks a lot.
I’m trying to pair to audio and when I hold my Bluetooth button up to the Plus sign it doesn’t even blink for me. The light just stays Blue. Anyone able to help?
Hey Alex, excellent video. Just got my waza today and thanks to you have quickly learned to use them. Amazing sound from them, well worth the price. They blow fenders micro out of the water. You did a great job on the video. I've seen so many guitarists videos made by people who can't even finish a sentence without 2 "ummm" pauses in the sentence. You are articulate and straight to the point. I appreciate that so much. Keep up the good work and thank you so much.
Thank you Alex. As someone who is admittedly a bit of a Luddite, I really appreciate your presentation. Your style was concise, linear, and easily digestible even for a technophobe such as myself.
Thank you Alex. These headphones are superb. I LOVE the sound of them and the effect. You really think you are in a room. The video helped me see the difference between MiDi and Audio for connecting to backing tracks and the app. Beautiful playing man as well. Thanks Boss for making these. They will make me a better player and the sounds are inspiring. Great job.
Hi Mate did you have any trouble connecting the phones to the mobile app? on your phone I heard you need a Gyro on the mobile to control the amp location?.. thanks.
Great video thank you. I just got my unit and was surprised how bad the supplied instructions are. Not a mention of the app and without your video I would have been scratching my head to work out the difference between pairing the app and pairing to stream music. Still, the headphones are pretty great but really should be shipped with simple instructions like yours. Thank you
Great gear! But It would be nice to have the next features: - Posibility to play wile charging - Posibility to connect an expression pedal and looper - Better distorsion tones or better tones in the boss tone central
I got mine just last month and am totally pleased except: Gyro looses its place quite often, therefore I run mainly in surround mode. Also great but for 400 bucks should work without a hitch. Boss also should have included a double cable for charging both units at the same time. I mean really, who want to take the time to charge separately. And 5 hours without a charge is not realistic from my experience. 3 hours max.
Alex Hutchings you are the "BOSS". I seriously think you should collaborate with Boss and make the Alex Hutchings signiture pedal tha "AH1". As I said before I would get the first one if I could. Knowing you, it would be a killer of a pedal with loads of gimzos on it. That would be Boss....Peace Brother. Take care and be safe...
Mama i Love Boss Effects . To me Boss is the Best Effects by far. And Alex Hutchings 1 of my Top 15 Favorite Guitarists of all Time. Very cool guy and an Outstanding worldclass Guitarist.
Well done, Alex. However I wonder if you could comment about its latency (or lack of). Bluetooth headphones I tried with guitar in the past were unusable. They were so annoying as the sound from the headphones was perceptably later than when I actually played the notes. For me, this is a deal-breaker, whatever the price. So what do you say, is there a noticeable sound delay or not?
I have found the Waza-Air to be the best practice tool I have ever owned. I would love a Waza-Air looper pedal, that can be controlled by footswitches. Kind of like the Boomerang III. Oh, I also need an improved headphone design (lighter and more stealthy) with noise cancellation. Something like the Sony XM4s. I would like to block out as much ambient noise as possible to get into the zone.
My question is will the quality of the guitar effect the quality of the guitar sound through these headphones or do all guitars sound exactly the same through this?
Had mine for about a week now. They are certainly not as responsive as large speakered amp with headroom but they are pretty incredible for headphones. My tele absolutely retains all the tele spank through them, my 335 are warmer and darker through them. I really can’t recommend these enough.
Does anybody know how I can play with a backing track transferred to the headphones too from an iPhone or iPad? In other words I want to practice with my headphones on and backing tracks from RUclips also in my headphones.
He could have the actual connected headphones on the binaural mic while he plays through the transmitter. If true, the headphones on his head are just there to show user how to use. Only other choice would be how other reviewers are showing it: player plays guitar while headphones sit on microphone head somewhere else. Comments on those videos show that folks didn’t like that either.
If I have the headphones a few feet away from my head, can I hear the sound if it's on full volume? I do this at home with my BOSS GT-1 effects unit, as it's quieter than using my amp, so doesn't annoy the neighbours.
Competely confused by the built in presets. Mine go from almost nothing to excruciatingly loud gain or unwanted echo, and seem to affect the input from both the guitar and other bluetooth input (backing tracks etc.). Two buttons, three ambient sounds? How does it work? Don't think this was a very good explanation. Anybody know any other tutorials for these please?
Apart from music, can I still use these to Bluetooth to my iPad and phone to listen and watch things like RUclips, films etc? Also I don’t have good hearing out of my left ear, would the surround sound help with that? I’ve tried some headphones that gave the the impression I had perfect hearing.
Plug your guitar to the wah pedal input (either with a cable or with another wireless transmitter like the WI20), plug the waza air transmitter to the wah output and you should be good to go.
Hi guys I have a volume problem when I want to play a backing track using the Bluetooth connection. The volume of my guitar is way too high compared to the backing track's volume. I am forced to low down the volume of the guitar drastically just to hear the track. Understand me well, I don't talk about the volume button of my guitar. I don't know if the culprit is my phone or the Waza-air... Have you got this problem too? If yes, can you help me. Thanks a lot. Pascal from France.
These are definitely for me ,I am a beginner and I play on headphones so only I can hear my “noise”. My problem is the cord is annoying and the sound is not as good as just the amp out loud. I feel your pain. I was using regular headphones with my amps and both the cord and the crappy sound were constant issues. This product fixes those things for me.
Great video, I’ve got this device and trying to figure it out. Sorry but I wish you had toned down on the guitar playing, it’s distracting and too loud.
Can you explain how I can use my Boss WAZA with the Boss Pocket GT? I am not finding a way and it will be very stupid not to be able to use the two together.
Bought this yesterday and very happy with the experience in terms of sounds and features. Not very happy with the built quality. it feels not so robust. Boss should have done a better job with a material given that this is very expensive.
How long do the batteries last? I don't mean each charge, I mean can they be renewed in a few years if they don't hold their charge. These aren't cheap so I would want many years of use out of them.
Ok connecting to phone? When I click on Bluetooth MIDI device My Note10 plus When you say select Waza Air MIDI at 5min 17sec? When I do that on my side, there are no devices showing up at all with Waza Air Midi? pair from the app? please help

@@gceltmc you don’t add them to the app. The feature of the headphones is that you are able to hear the guitar through the wireless connection while simultaneously hearing the backing track through a Bluetooth connection between the headphones and whatever device you have the backing track on. You can control both guitar volume and also Bluetooth audio via separate buttons on the headphones as this video explains
This is how reviews should be done! No waffle or long introductions. Just clear facts clearly presented. Thanks Alex. Well done
Soon as I see Alex Hutchings I know the video is going to be on point.
A looper in the app and the possibility to record signal on the phone would be great

totally agree. Hopefully they can upgrade the app with that feature.

1 QUESTION - how did you get a recording from the headphones for this video?
Maybe a split signal? Like one going into a di and the other into the waza airs?
