Off topic, I want to know the microphone that you used in this video?
I've recently been thinking about getting these...so I don't have to plug in and could play kicking back on the couch...even have more time for lessons...and though they're pricey...they are unbelievably well designed and thought out...I mean...head tilting for rewind and forward??? Crazy awesome! Battery life might be the only thing I'd wonder about...not play time but longevity of battery (is it replaceable?)...and the playing in a noisy environment...priceless!!! I also wish the transmitter jack was the foldable type and better thought out like the X-Vive wireless systems, which is what I was thinking about getting w/ wireless headphones I could set up to use with my HX Stomp, etc...still deciding! The later might be better if I want to silently work on patches, and also be able to use my pedals in front of my HX Stomp...but I know...that's a different use idea all together...choices ...choices! Thanks again for your awesome content Mary! You Rock! 😎🎸🤘🐦

How was the quality with a bass guitar?
www.amazon.com/JSAUX-Lightning-Headphone-Certified-Compatible/dp/B086D42KGP/ref=mp_s_a_1_22?dchild=1&keywords=usb+c+to+3.5mm+male+audio+pigtail+adaptor&qid=1620627855&sr=8-22
Try to get this with a male attachment or buy an adapter to convert but I know you can buy this attachment and purchase a Male to female attachment, but try to attach your factory boss attachment to your guitar with velcro out of your hands reach when smashing your cords rather its power cords or actually smashing guitar chords just like Randall William Rhoads has done from back in the day with Ozzy and didn't play much power chords. 🤪🤓 sorry I'm rather nerdalisious.
1:12 damn what a transition.
Ikr!
yeah that was great
The Truth thought the same exact thing
"Here at Boss, we know there's no substitute for the real thing....so what we've done is created a high tech simulation of the real thing"
😂😂🤣
It's good, ya need to try it!
@@peyotepete4903 Oh I'm just making a little joke, I do actually think it's a neat concept and wouldn't mind trying one.
@@TomMilleyMusic It comes with a great case of the corona virus.
@Blue just got mine today from Sweetwater
Arigato Mary-san!
Lmao hey BOSS
bro, he said the Japanese word.
These with VR and you could sit in and rehearse with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mojo album all their videos are in their studio.
Just saying 👍 Great Job
Hey! Hope you enjoyed this demo of the Waza-Air headphones. Addressing the jack issue - it can be fixed by using a female to male 1/4" jack cable (a short one). x
Mary Spender as soon as I can find room in my budget for a pair I’m placing my order! I’ve been using Roland and Boss products since 1984 and they never cease to impress me with their innovations.
Was about to suggest this exact thing, even a small solid adaptor will probably give enough to make life easier! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361613820199
hey Mary. whats the Bluetooth encode delay like?
I've ordered mine, it's no brainer for me, it may not be cheap but it's going to make practicing at home alot easier especially when having young children😁🤘
Will it fit in my strat?
So cool! I work in a library and we repurposed some old music practice rooms that were no longer being used (the music department got their own) into an immersive Virtual Reality space, It works really well with soundproof rooms. One thing we ran into was the directionality of sound was not as good as the visual dimendion. This could solve it. I wonder if HTC and Occulus are listening.
Congratulations on upgrading your production tecniques for you videos! Everything looks gorgeus. Thank you so much for doing what you are doing Mary.
"doesn't work through glass" still tries , lovely, now this has a lot of possibilities, practicing without being loud to others and having the same feeling of using a real amp instead of regular headphones, being able to try an instrument fast and easy, adjusting your pedalboard anytime
I demoed this at the Winter NAMM 2020. It made “Best In Show” so I was curious and went to the BOSS Waza Air demo and it was awesome. It is on my list to purchase soon. No wires to worry about. Built-In effects.
Thank you. A very top-notch real review. I don't think BOSS could make a better commercial/demo without you.
Boss is really doing good work these days. They’ve got a pretty solid lineup of products for musicians all across the board.
These are totally dope! I ordered them the minute I finished watching the Anderton's video of 'em and never looked back. So cool being able to walk around anywhere and play guitar and no one is gonna feel bothered from it and - most importantly - they sound fricking amazing! No latency too!
You've absolutely and totally nailed it with this vid. Beyond excellent. We've a WAZA Air owners group on Facebook that's been going since the start. This just made the announcements.
Nice job Mary!
Just saw the price. i will show this to my wife, then she wont feel so bad when i ask for the the Positive Grid Amp .lol
She sounds kind. But I'll bet you give in to her spending requests most all of the time, so really, you are very very kind.
Just bought a £2500 E-II. Didn't even ask the wife.
The positive grid amp is well worth it, it records really well also!
I don't know how you manage to have so many cool and interesting gear videos, every single time it's worth watching!
I haven’t been excited about new guitar product in ages. I want these and so does my wife. Haha. Thank you for the vids. I’m 52 and toured for 21 years professionally. The future of guitar is on good hands.
I got some after this review, they're now my favorite practice tool.
I have a Katana Air and I had the same problem that Mary had in that I couldn't connect the transmitter to either of my 2 Ibanez guitars. The transmitter wouldn't go in to either guitar enough to push the little trigger button in. I found a solution and that was to buy a Hosa GPP-273 1/4" TRS to 1/4" TRS Right Angle Adaptor from Amazon for $5, I'm assuming a straight connector would work but I just picked a right angle one as I thought I could swivel the transmitter so that it didn't stick out as much. I don't have a set of Waza headphones so I don't know if my trick will work but from the looks of things the transmitter for the headphone appears to be the same as the one for the Katana Air. I thought I would post this just in case anyone has had similar problems, so far I haven't had any issues with my adapter.
This is one of the most useful thing i have even seen for guitar , especially for electric guitars
idk what it is exactly, but you have the most calming, relaxing and pleasant voice on RUclips.
Whatever filter or lighting Mary is using in the beginning of this video makes her look like an absolute professional model. Beautiful filming!
AWESOME. Been playing guitar 55 years. This is the biggest innovation I’ve seen.
Suggestion for the other guitar plug sockets: Use a short "extension" chord - female plug on one end and male on the other. Leave the wireless tx in the female socket and the other end is like a regular cord. Loved the review and demo. Cheers!
I'm definitely interested in these, my birthday isnt too far off so planning a purchase of these for sure. Thank you for the review and the high quality video. Keep it up Mary!
Hello from North West England 👍
How are they working out for you? Good purchase?
I've been looking for something like this.
Thanks!
Hello, thanks for your joy, smile and this complet demo. I took pleasure to see you a new time.
This is probably your best video, Mary! Quality keeps getting better! 😀
Best demo so far! You touched on some points that aren’t as obvious, like the value you can get out of it by using it in particular ways. I do have a lot of gear but keep coming back to those that make my practice enjoyable and fun. Like my Variax. Inferior to my other guitars in so many ways, but also superior in ways others will never match. Thanx for another great vid, cheering you and your journey from the sideline! :)
Have a set! Thanks for the in-depth tutorial, there are still features I haven’t explored yet. 🎼🎶🎸🧑💻 Muriel
Very cool Mary! Love to try them! Thank you for the upload!
My wife got me these for Christmas. Think she wants some peace! But they are great. The drift issue is a bit annoying but it’s a 2 second job to reset them. For practice with a backing track they are fabulous.
Really enjoying the content! thanks Mary and so cool to see all your hard work and your sheer drive paying off
Mary, your reviews are always so good, and sometimes it takes a product that is practically impossible to review in a video to showcase that. You have great charisma with the camera. Thanks for all the hard work to not only bring us interesting product information, but also to entertain us. You're a diamond.
Great video Mary! For an adapter, I soldered a plug and straight jack onto a foot of cable, then used a velcro cable tie to attach to my strap. Basically a one foot extension. The Boss wireless instrument systems use the same transmitter. I have not looked, but I’m sure plenty of cable makers make some kind of similar extension that you could purchase if you don’t want to solder.
This was a pretty fantastic way of trying the product out and some good conclusions!
That's pretty amazing. And you can play as loud as you want and not disturb anybody!
that was a really fantastic video Mary. like others said, your editing and pacing are coming together really well on this one.
Amazing!!!!
Thank You!!!!
I Love It!!!!
Excellent video. Just pure class on all levels. Cheers
Ordered a pair a few days ago. Can't wait to try them out!
I've had mine since November - they are awesome, especially for beginners. My neighbors and my family don't hate me, I can practice on the couch whilst everyone else is watching tv and I'm not stuck in a room by myself.
Best review i've wa tched on the Waza air. I currently own the Waza air bass... Job Well done
Appreciate you sharing your experience with this guitar tool. I travel for work. This may be a great way for me to practice. 😉
I have to say, this was a recommended video and I have never seen or heard of you but after watching this I cannot wait to browse and see what other content you have to offer. This review was thorough and done with passion about a product you, obviously, truly believe in. Thank you so much for what you do and I cannot wait to give these a whirl! Cheers and I hope to catch you live someday!
It is a sponsored review, dude. Gullible?
This was the best way to review this tech. Great video Mary!
Great review, I am considering purchasing this and you provided information that is helpful for me. Thanks, Mary!
I ordered mine the day it released and just received it today. Playing around with it a bit I really like it. Much better (less sterile and harsh) than other options I’ve tried.
It looks awsome.... Wish i could try them... Good job Boss.. Keep rocking
Wow I like this thanks for sharing !!!
These look amazing. I've gotta try them!
Awesome review! These have some good uses - this is awesome to help with preparing for live gigs (practicing) or dialing in aspects of song writing (the live feel). Kick ass Mary!
Enjoyed.............. Great review and it told me much about them, as I have not even unboxed my 212 Katana MKII yet........The stage is Mine. Your a pleasure just meeting you as well youtubing doing research & Practicing.Have a great 2020.
Boss: Makes something that's actually innovative
Guitar fans: BOOOOOOOOOO
This technology has existed for a long time. Look up Bluetooth guitar adapters there are hundreds there is nothing innovative here other than the sound moving at a much higher price.
Wow!! Thanks boss for sharing this kind of technology with us thanks love your videos!!
I realize this video was two years ago but I'm just now watching it and it was totally enjoyable and informative. I bought this headphone two years ago an it sat until a couple weeks ago and I'm totally impressed with the sound, the effects and the backing tracks, one of the best purchases I've made ever. What fun!
Thanks for the great video Mary!
Hi Peter
Me 2. Just saw it Now. How's The Quality of The Head Phones,
Would this Replace a GTX Mini Micro?
The production of your videos are top notch. I've had the Waza Air for about a year and love it! You are also very cute!
Such a great idea. Need one of those in the guitar store!
That close up at the beginning is really working for you 👏👏👏
This is a fantastic video! Thanks.
Wow those are cool! Excellent review! Difficult to do, but you nailed it. I could almost hear them thru your eyes!
Perfect timing! I bought a guitar last night!
Great demo video
Top of my Christmas list after watching this!
I've just tried these at my local distributor. They say, the first batch they've got are all sold-out (mostly to the local artists). That's really something.
Anyway, they did sound good. Perfect for practice, perfect for warm up. I might get a pair of those someday.
PS. the sales person I've talked with mentioned that Boss's wireless transimitters/recievers are prone to interference (mostly by 2.4GHz spectrum occupied by both Bluetooth and Wifi, even cordless). I don't know if it would also applies to the Waza Air or not. If it is, then there would be no backup plan like pluggin in cord/lead into the headphone :P.
Mine are coming into the mail. Cant wait. 👍👍
I drive a big rig and I have a todler at home. So learning how to play guitar on the road. Along with practicing at home. Without driving everyone crazy. It is a great investment.
I just found them, never knew this existed; but I’ve had them a few days and love them
This video made me pull the trigger. Thanks Mary.
I think that was a pretty damn good job at getting the point across to us. Good job Mary.
I bought a pair and they let me practice places and at volumes I normally can't and they have helped improve my playing. I have found the spatial placement technology does recenter itself too much if you tilt your head while you play, but definitely worth it to me.
Seems like a cool idea, can't believe it doesn't come with like a 4 inch 1/4" Male to 1/4" Female adapter to fit into recessed jacks. It might also be possible to design the receiver such that it can fold the jack away or do right angle, a little articulated extension could probably solve all these problems.
Mary, there are adapters to use in other guitars. Some are small extensions. I used a typical L adapter, normally used in guitar cables that are straight. This also help with active pickups, though you may get noise from those.
You totally sold me on this thing :). I picked one up after watching your video, and i am curious to find out as soon as it is charged up. I look forward to jam with audiotracks through this.
The first reaction everybody had I have seen so far using these (Fluff, Andertonsand now Mary) is just, wow! I would love to have these!
Well... I have one and like it a lot. But the wow is a little overacting ;)
these have so much potential of being used in live show settings, mostly when artists use IEMs they're usually getting hard left and right audio in their ears, and that doesn't change with their motion, i can imagine that could be somewhat boring. this is a game changer also could be if they could be used in a live program setting and with just a body pack
looks like a great product i must try them at the guitar store as i spend a lot of time playing music . it has the reality of live stage work so that make it a stand out product product .
Wow it sounds amazing
Great review, good explanation... motivational
I’m dying to get my hands on a pair of these headphones. Finally a more than worthy replacement for my vintage Rockman X-100
Very cool, I will have to try a pair of them, looks perfect for someone who wants to have a good play and not wake up the whole family at night.
Clever of you to use them at NAMM - I imagine within a few years most will want to - and Boss will need to develop some ability to record out of them
you would think they would be able to offer this feature through the app
Wow. I need to try these out.
I'm late seeing this but awesome........thanks for this!
I like the concept, which seems valid, and thanks for following up on the jack issue. I couldn't find a price or a location nearby where I could physically check them out, but I assume they'll be out of my financial reach.
Talent...... attractiveness..... and that accent........ one word.... WOW!!!
Any short 1/4" Male to Female cable extension would resolve the recessed jack issue. There's several on Amazon or you can get the parts and wire it to some instrument cable to make a real short one. I think they're usually about a foot.
thanks for remembering to test it on a bass- that is my
main question, because that's what i play...
I can barely comprehend the experience of hearing an amp through regular headphones... this would surely blow my head off.
Dang Marry 250k subs you blew up quick in last year, I am happy for ya!!
Fantastic video Mary, these Could be a real game changer for home playing, I have so much fantastic gear that needs to be loud to sound good and I don't play live anymore. If tones are convincing I could save space, a load of money, actually really enjoy playing without annoying everyone at home.
the fender mustang micro is an incredible piece of kit, too.
I was immediately hooked and got myself a Waza Air 2 days ago. I love the sound and simplicity of it all. Two drawbacks, though: charging through micro USB plugs is really not up to date. They break so easily if you're not careful when plugging in. Why not make it USB C instead? The other one: headphones and transmitter can't be charged together. That shouldn't have been so difficult to realize...
Other thing i think they missed in the design is the thing extending out so far. Its something meant for playing at home. It looks like itl get in the way when sitting on a chair etc.
Even a straight jack sucks for that.. That's why you use an angle jack.
How has it been though? Worth it?
Cool, I have used a vox multieffects into a mixer into over ears for years
This was an amazing show and you are looking awesome :-)
Great bit of gear. Killer review. Would be ideal for NYC apartment living. The Paul Davids video bomb made me lol!
Great Video! Until now I've just ignored these as I thought "I already play on headphones. I don't need these". And now I think I need these! My biggest problem with practicing on headphones is the massive difference between the feel on headphones and the feel in front of an amp. These could actually solve that isssue.
Looks like a really cool and novel idea. Must try!
Just ordered these. I hope they sound good with distortion tones
Yes they definitely make a 1/4 in. to 1/4 in. × 2 in. "Extension"
Great video!
