  • Since the death of General Choi Hong Hi in 2002, here in the birthplace of Taekwon-Do we have been rebuilding the Art initially established by the Founder.
We organized the first ITF World Championship in Korea in 2004, and subsequently two more in 2008 & 2010 that were held in conjunction with Taekwondo Festivals.
Every year since 2011 we have been bringing Taekwondoists from all of the World to follow in the footsteps of the significant figures and events that are associated with the patterns that are such a core part of Taekwon-Do through our Tul Tour Taekwon-Do & Cultural Training programs.
Consequently, our membership has grown rapidly with many groups and individuals from all styles of Taekwon-Do joining our Federation. We are now establishing our offices in the new Administrative Government Center of Korea, Sejong City.
This exciting development allows us to reinvigorate our training programs and offer Seminars and International Instructor Courses in Korea and around the World. More than 10 Tul Tour Programs have been already organized for 2017 and 2018.
We will hold our first Open World Championships in the wonderful European country of the Netherlands in September 2017. Already many groups that have not been able to participate together in the past have confirmed their attendance.
ITF HQ-Korea is dedicated to bringing together all practitioners who follow the teachings of General Choi Hong Hi under the motto “One spirit - One Force - One ITF” in its homeland.

What I've seen, ITF guys don't do that much distractions before a kick attack. In WTF matches the first move or even the first kick in the sequence almost never is the final attack, but you often need more space than a ring for that as that basically drives your opponent quite a far back (if he has any sense).

A lot of kicking was done wearing shoepads. I even encountered that because i also used to kick with shoepads which are fat. Plus they are fighting in Taekwondo rules , they are not allowed to kick below belt and they cannot grapple and no takedowns. No elbows . No knees. Plus no curve punches either. You guys can search for - First Asia Taekwondo Championship. Its has some good taekwondo fights

Okay ... I love taekwondo, and I know its effectiveness "and its lethality in terms of kicks", but this simply does not make sense. The other fighter was giving him a beating during the whole fight (in addition to only using striking, in mma striking and grappling is used, but apparently it was not allowed) I just do not understand how they gave the victory to the taekwondo fighter. He clearly lacked much sparring with other teammates, increased speed in terms of kicks, more skill with his fists, and more reflexes. In conclusion, the victory was unfair, not only because of the number of blows, but also that the mma boxer could not use grappling, and it is not that the mma is better than taekwondo, only that the other guy was much more trained than the other. taekwondo boy. In addition, the most important thing in taekwondo is speed and that is what distinguishes it from other styles. But this guy lacked a lot of that

Secondly, even the top full contact kickboxer, Raymond Daniels, lost to ITF expert in a professional TKD bout, which has similar rules as full contact kickboxing.

ITF is probably the only traditional standup style that can match its hand and feet skills with a full contact kickboxing at both amateur and pro level. I know what I am talking about.

@@alter5057 you might be going to a Mcdojo. At my school, first-degree is a master-student, second-degree is an instructor, because you're supposed to know enough about the basics at first guep and learn the advanced at black belt, then learn how to apply the advanced before you get to your second degree. That's where you become a teacher.
At your third degree, you're supposed to learn how to apply the advanced to your personal style. At fourth degree, you could make a thesis if you wanted to.
Also, I was a first degree from World taekwondo before I transferred over to ITF and got my second degree there. I've been doing TKD for 20 years
