Alex Murdoch needs to have his charges upgraded to 1st degree premeditated murder in the deaths of his house keeper, his son, and his wife. All of these folks died because of Murdochs planning, there are no accidents or who dunnits.

In this case but not all rich people are bad people. Many do a lot of good things for their community and country. He was actually broke just keeping up appearances.
The law needs to change, how does a lawyer have the ability to get paid for your pain and mental anguish and not give you the money and nobody listens to you and he gets away with it? How was that possible in the United States of america? How is it possible that I hire a lawyer go to court he wins my case how is it that I don't get paid immediately? And how is it that I'm sure she told everybody what happened to her and that this lawyer didn't want to give her her money and how is it that he can get away with that? And this isn't the only case I've heard this from I've heard this dozens and dozens of times throughout my life people not being able to get their money from their lawyer when their lawyer wins the case. It's as if he dictates when and where to give you the money. Why? Shouldn't there be some kind of law or stipulation that says the lawyer has a certain amount of time to give you your money? Everything is so backwards because of cronies and evil people trying to get away with bullcrap like this.

I love seeing these "privilege" stories. What person can ride free of at least a True deep investigation into all this death surrounding one person? A rich, sorry but white male. Sounds like he should of been behind bars at least 4 years ago. So much death since then is so sad and law enforcement including the judge in this jurisdiction should be investigated and held accountable immediately.

@@mrsmibbs I'm sure she had a living trust which would make your statement null and void. She comes from wealth and her husband is a lawyer. That's one of the main ways to protect wealth. Most women with children leave their estate to their children, not their spouse. It's a mother's instinct to want her children to be taken care of in her absence.
There was no question of her leaving it to her husband, just that her sister was was the executor originally and then that was changed to being her pretty old and ill father. Also, a lot of murky dealings with the husband which would draw attention to the changes in the will.

@@ashe4158 actually most trusts will still leave majority of assets to surviving spouse and then upon the last to die, it goes to the kids, especially if both are parents of the children. Now in a 2nd marriage, the parent will usually have it left more often to his/her own children first.

Millions owed to housekeeper's family. They were supposed to get a settlement from his insurance because she allegedly died in a slip and fall accident at Murdaugh's house. He somehow received the settlement himself and kept it, instead of giving it to her family.
Don't quit your day job. She didn't earn "millions"; the money was to be from an insurance policy.
The news reporter states it in a confusing way, he says the 'millions of dollars is owed to his family's housekeeper, she died in 2018.' I was so confused as to how the housekeeper could be owed so much money and then die in an accident in this man's home.

Naming the surviving spouse as sole primary beneficiary is typical with married couples. Alex still killed them (most likely) but being in the will is typical.
But it's wierd she put her husbands farther in will crossing out her own sister. He was an elderly man with a long-term illness. No one would put someone elderly than them and frankly on deathbed on their will. He is not even a blood relative.

I think he murdered his family and the house cleaner. It all started with the house cleaner. He killed her for will money and then was running out of money and killed his wife and son in a rage. Then when the doors started closing in he tried to stage his own death. But failed so now it’s all looking really bad.

Any lawyer would know changing a will like that would not hold up in court at least without witnesses. I am not educated enough about estate planning for the wealthy but I would assume hand written corrections to wills would be reprinted and incorrect copies destroyed. Mainly to avoid such situations.
