I just watched the Netflix documentary and Gloria really stood out to me as a victim. She’d sacrificed her time, love and life to serve as a housekeeper and died in the home she worked in - quite possibly murdered- and then her legacy is made into a crime for her family to bear. - after being robbed of a promised sum by the employer. I will give to any charity in her name.

Murdaugh has hidden all the money he stole. He stole at least 8.5 million dollars and also laundered 2.4 million through drug deals. Who really knows the extent of this guys criminality. His brothers are involved in it along with other lawyers and a bank manager who colluded with him.

Wonder if Alex Murdaugh did something to make sure she died in a manner that he could collect the Insurance money; he told her 2 sons that they would get $100,000 each knowing fully well that he will get about $4.3mm. It's bizarre but the housekeeper testified that she started working for the Murdaughs to help calculate the damages after "Someone" had set fire to their house.

You really need to start at the beginning and not 3/4th. It’s complicated to say the least. The family won the settlement after murdaugh told them to sue his estate for libel after the mom died on his property. Then he conned the sons to let him handle the payout. He handled it by stealing the money.

I just watched the Netflix documentary and Gloria really stood out to me as a victim. She’d sacrificed her time, love and life to serve as a housekeeper and died in the home she worked in - quite possibly murdered- and then her legacy is made into a crime for her family to bear. - after being robbed of a promised sum by the employer.
I will give to any charity in her name.
Gloria was a better mom to Paul than Maggie ever was. She was a wonderful woman who deserved better from the Murdaugh family. I would donate to her charity too.
