“I fear not the man who has practiced 1000 kicks, but the man who has practiced one kick 1000 times.” -Bruce Lee. So motivational man! That was awesome, and here I am just beginning struggling to get even a regular tempo! Good luck in your future endeavors
Same. I have never worked really worked speed or sweeps. I was never too into metal so it just wasn't my thing, but now I've been learning how and seeing cool applications in all kinds of music!
Well done, great effort! I have been playing approx 30 years and tried sweep picking at different times but inconsistently. I recently decided I would devote 2 hrs of practice every day to sweep picking until i can do it smoothly and consistently. It took four weeks to achieve this and to be honest I surprised myself as I really struggled with this technique. I still have many more arpeggios to learn but once you have gained the technique learning new shapes and getting them up to speed is definitely easier.
Sorry to say this man im a fan of your stuff but the fact that you give tabs to patreon supporters sucks.look and learn from andriy he does so much for his audience. You just put tabs.
That's how I say "thank you" for my patreon' friends. They support me on patreon site and I'm supporting them with tabs, backing tracks, multitracks, discord chatting and etc. Hope for your understanding.
Very nicely done. Now here are some nice and easy sweeping songs that you'll have fun with ;) 1. Jason Becker - Serrana. Pretty Easy. shouldn't take more than a few hours 2. Nevermore - Opening arpeggios from Psalm of Lydia. Even EASIER. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. 3. Escape the fate - This war is ours. So easy that you should be able to play this without even practicing 4. Dream Theater - Glass Prison. A nice warm-up 5. Born of Osiris - XIV. Really shouldn't even be on this list. I mean it's so easy that you can play it with only upstrokes and a pinky. I know it's all pretty rudimentary but hopefully you won't fall asleep playing any of these. I'm 3 and have only been playing guitar 4 years and can play them all backwards at the same time on an inverted upside down piano...because they're all so easy.
Mate this vid is really cool. I especially like it because, I've recently decided to play guitar properly (haven't for atleast 22yrs) & I just started practicing sweeping yesterday so I feel like this video kind'o makes it easy for me to see the potential outcome, if I keep practicing. Awesome mate, cheers 🎸🔊🎶
Thanks for the inspiration. I will start my 100 day challenge tomorrow. I'll do 30 minutes each day. I'll do a routine that I saw in a video made by Bernth. I'll try to remember to track my progress here also if anyone happens to be interested. Have a good day guys!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! It was killing me trying to remember where I had heard those sweeps but for some reason I couldn't place it. I kept thinking Jeff Loomis or Conquering Distopia but I knew that wasn't it.
As I've always said it's more quality of pratice than time itself. Much more beneficial to pratice a little a day and focus and enjoy it than stress yourself putting in countless hours. The less worn out and tired you are the more you absorb.

There are a lot of tabs out there I guess but if you want the tabs from the video you should check out my Patreon. You can get my tabs and backing tracks there.
It always impresses me how fast guitar is to learn when you really practice hard, for exemple, in just one week I'm able to go from thinking that the track I made was perfect to recording it again just because I can make it sound so much better
To Study the technique of sweep picking we should start slowly and accompanied by a metronome. Analyzing each movement in isolation and without moving to the next exercise until everything is under the fingers and in time. Good study!
