I remember when the first time I learn sweep picking I almost give up and I think that I'm the only person who can't sweep pick. So I struggled and only less than 3 month, I feel like a professional player HAHA. So what I'm gonna say here is, that all people can reach the highest level of sweep picking technique as long as we practice, practice and practice.
Thank you, homie! I said the same thing when I was trying to learn the solo to Alive by Pearl Jam. Now, 2 months later, and I can play it with my eyes closed. Thank you, for the encouraging words
I wish I had this knowledge when I started learning to sweep. Took me ages to tab arpeggios like these out by ear! Steve, you've probably saved these young guitar guys lots time. True hero
This was literally the best sweep picking lesson I have ever watched. I have been trying to learn to sweep for around 3 years and this video had me further in 15 minutes than every other video combined. Thank you Stevie T
Finally I made it, 230 BPM is the speed Stevie T plays it at the end of the video. To reach that BPM, I had to use Metronome all the time, from 80BPM to 230BPM, increasing 5 BPM step by step. Good luck everyone!!!!!
I have to say, I have been playing guitar for a while now and I've gotten pretty good but for whatever reason sweep picking has always been an illusive ghost of a skill for me to acquire. The way that you presented with learning within a song format, keeping it light, and the actual 3 string patterns you chose were absolutely perfect. I feel as if the patterns ranging from the typical triad forms, to the more stretched out forms, and finally the forms where you have to "worm" a single finger through and learn how to mute while doing so I feel sets up the learner extremely well. The forms and skills taught in this video I feel will set me up well for when I evolve into 4,5, and 6 string sweeps. I do hope you place a more advanced skill sweep pattern at some point. For now though, thanks for this one.
4 years ago I watched this video and thought I'd never be able to do this. I joined a band, got better, and came back to this today and was surprised by how far I've come.

Thank you steve
You should make a video about dropping a guitar pick and then having to look for it, or a guitar pick falling into an acoustic guitar then having to shake it out, since your videos are humor based. Something that all guitarists have painfully experienced lol.
