- I'll be the first to admit, I've got some killer hauls over the years, but this has to be the biggest. An instant G1 Transformers collection...almost 200 vintage figures!

That Bumblebee with the cartoon head is a recent reissue. They had them at Walmart for $9 when the Bumblebee movie came out. I actually like it better than the original. And I really like how they did the head in the style as if it was designed in the early 80's.
Yeah I like the face too. I never opened mine, but I believe the date stamp says 2020 or whatever year it came out. Where this one says 83-85. Can you confirm or deny??!!
@@grecofabulous I checked my Walmart Bumblebee and there is no date at all. It says "C Tomy CHINA" and then some white lettering from Hasbro and some random numbers. Though maybe that Bumblebee you have is a Takara version?

Yeah I didn't go through and transform them all other than putting the combiners together, but seems promising!
TFs are really the best toys for adults. Instead of just sitting on a shelf being looked at like other toys and collectibles, we can transform them and still feel like we've "played" with them.
I think you're on to something with this. I don't really touch anything else, but I definitely have way more interaction with my TFs over anything else.

I was a spoiled kid. Got everything from 84-86. Almost completed 87-88. Only collect the micromaster 89. Almost collected the 90 micro master. Stop at 90, I did not like the Pretenders and Actionmasters.
But, I did collect the 88 pretenders later and complete my missing 87-88 list thru eBay, I think back on 96. I bought my missing transformers from one seller. Somehow, this seller got multiple figures in good to excellent condition. So, kept buying from him, until I complete my collection. I still didn’t touch the 90 series. To me I see 89 as last year of transformers.
I life in germany. I have all G1 Transformers, most of them are in original box or card. A lot of G1 victory series, masterforce. Some from the new cinema movies 1, 2 and 3. My most expensive G1 transformer are MIB Fortress Maximus, a MISB Metroplex and a mib European Overlord. I thought about selling it, but I can´t do it. But nice collection.

Yeah I recommend when you are laid in the hospital or taken prisoner. Basically when you have time to kill.
That G1 Bumblebee is probably from some reissue, since it has cartoon head and normal sticker it most probably is from the Vintage Walmart reissues

I believe this one was early 2000s not the more recent Walmart reissues.
Back in 96 a little store called the wizard here in town. This guy had tons of G1 transformers. I bought a huge lot of them for $100 from him. I also Got 2 trypticons I still have them in my personal collection. I have one trypticon sealed & one Loose boxed complete.I paid $80 for them both. The guy had 2 Bludgeons as well both MOSC. I paid $20 each for them & I opened one up Brand new & kept the other sealed. How I also got reflector from him. He was still in his mail away carrier box. The guy had a lot back then & I bought a majority of it.

This was a really great buy, made god money and added a bunch to the collection.
What a collection , the gutting thing is I had so many of them ... obviously not the big guns like maximus etc ...tho whoever thought up the pretender line needs shooting into space ..I hated them ...great video sir
Yeah it was crazy to me that he was willing to let G1 go, but wanted to keep the modern. Happy to be on the receiving end though!

This was probably my 1st or 2nd best G1 haul. I just got lucky and found a collector that wanted to move on.
Cool i had something similar years ago with vintage star wars toys in a garage sale back in 89 when I didn’t knew the prices of old toys me and a friend had bought a whole collection for 50$ canadian and we split the load

Great Haul, but they are NOT vintage toys. As of the time of the my post, ‘84 toys & items are now legitimately vintage. Almost is only good in horse shoes & hand grenades.

So my buddy and I usually go halves on the toys and draft what we want. Then we sell/trade the rest to build up the toy funds.

Wow looks like the G1 Transformers line got pretty crappy after the first series of figures were released, much more cheaply made also.
Yeah, once they stopped using the diaclone/microman molds it got kinda iffy but there's a few gems in there.

The 87 and 88 lines are crap. Bad quality and gimmick ideas.parts of 86 line are good like Magnus, plex, Jetfire. The rest is all crap.

Hey any idea the value of a chrome dome figure never opened sealed in the box, near mint box would be worth? I bought a collection and it had 5 figures all vintage sealed in their boxes never opened . They had more and I probably should have bought the entire collection but I still walked away with an impressive lot of figures. Megatron complete 20 bucks.

Honestly I don't. And with sealed figs it's really hard to determine the value. If you're looking to sell it I would just throw it on ebay as a BUY IT NOW and aim for the stars (000s) and see where it goes. Maybe even grade it first.
Or if you're a gambling man just put it to auction.
i think if you mislead the guy to buy the colletion for yourself, i somehow find that less dubios and scummy than misleading them to turn a profit after the fact. /shrug
I didn't mislead anyone. He's a transformers collector and that was his asking price.
