I'm not much of a Transformers guy, but this was awesome to watch. I collect a bunch of different stuff, but I respect the heck out of collectors that have this type of focus to their collecting.

Truly incredible collection. I wonder how someone who isn’t deep in this stuff reacts to seeing a collection like this and hearing all the details especially with the packaging variants. I’m a vintage collector as well, but don’t have much packaging due to the expense - maybe the rarest box I have is a star Saber package which is half ripped apart - most of everything else is loose. I already get an annoyed response from the GF about what I do have when I talk about them (“these things all have names!?”), if I had all the boxes she’d be furious lol

It is so weird to me that Devastator arrived late in the UK, because I'm used to him being so popular that selling him EVERYWHERE is a no-brainer.
I didn't realize I had a piece of Abominus once. lol I recognize the flying one, I had one of those, and I remember thinking there was supposed to be a beak or something on the front. No, turns out, that's for the fist, in combiner mode. lol

Damn Russ!! I knew you had a lot of the OG bots, but umm.... HOLY CRAP MAN!! I would LOVE to come see this in person, but never could, being poor and in the US. I've been watching the Toys Are Russ channel ever since I started collecting again, around the time Kingdom Cyclonus dropped, but my guy... I had NO idea! You could make a video a day, reviewing 1 bot, or team at a time, and NEVER EVER EVER live long enough to make a video highlighting everything could you? You could even skip the double/triple/quadruple/and every other uple, and still be like 2 and a half, methuselahs old lmao. MUCH RESPECT MY GUY!

Awesome collection, but unfortunately I won't be able to have a collection like that. Sigh
He got them before these all went super mainstream and scalpers just went to town on them. Dang. If you were an early 2000's collector, everything was cheaper. We can thank Michael Bay for reigniting the Transformers as a franchise for better or worst. Sure they weren't dead even before the movies came out but they weren't as mainstream as they are now after it.
For Victory, 26:00 Landcross is also my fave. I got a Machtackle boxset, the version that was released in Taiwan(meaning Japanese box but was slapped on with some Taiwanese language stickers on it and was released in 1990 rather than 1989) and a loose Landcross as well. I wanna get the 2 other sets and a proper box set as well, God willing. Would also want to get a Victory Saber and Leo box set one of these days too since I've missed every opportunity to own them and that includes the Haslab version.

I like Transformers but just the Gen 1 line, all these Japanese variants etc isnt for me. When i started collecting in 2013 due to the ToyHunter show on the travel channel even back then G1 Transformers, StarWars were insane prices so avoided them and went MOTU, TMNT which were affordable in comparison. To have a vintage collection like this in 2023 you would need to have been collecting a very long time (As he says) as the prices of these are unaffordable now unless you are very wealthy. The trouble with collecting is you never know when re-issues will drop, so investing £ in expensive figures is risky, you need to be prepared to loose that money if the market changes. MOTU prices dropped considerably when Origins was released.
