Thank you for great fast-paced video.

I've watched a dozen fast-forward videos like this...and others with completed framing. Nice job, and there are several ways to do the framing, but on all of the videos no-one actually slows down to show us exactly where and how to fix the framing to the metal container. Very frustrating if you're just a beginner.

You don’t fix it to the container? You just build it to fit inside it

Great work! what are you using to marry the boards to the top and ceiling?

Hi. We use trim around the top, which is
19X50 PENCIL ROUND ARCHITRAVE. For the fasteners we use 30mm staples to fit the boards to the studwork. Hope that helps!

Hi, We use small timber battens running lengthways hold the rockwool in place. It works well!

How does the Rockwool insulation do against moisture and mold?

    • @Shippingcontainersuk

Hi, it does very well. It stops all build of moisture so no mold can develop.

Would rockwool work as well as spray foam? I'm making a 40ft into a workshop and everyone reccomended the foam but it's crazy expensive and this would be a lot easier on the wallet

Hi, thanks for your question. 100mm Rockwool is perfect to use for a workshop container, this would be fairly standard across the industry. Spray foam insulation is very expensive so typically only used where U-Values have to meet Building Regulations, the walls will then be far thicker, typically reserved for full-time living accommodation.

Hi! I had a question: How do you attach the timer frames? no rivets, no screws? Thanks!

    • @Shippingcontainersuk

Hi. We use a ‘Squeeze-fit’ frame system to enable us to fit the framework without the use of rivets or screws. Hope that helps!

What kind of wood did you use for the framing ?! 1x2 and 2x4?
