      Makes more sense in savings. It's insulated between metals anyway. Unless not paying mind the interior visual sections. Would save least couple thousand bucks and 4-5" space area thickness. Exterior would have to be asthetically appealing.

    Insofast kits cost quite a bit more than the container itself. Pretty slick, otherwise. If your container is in anything resembling a warm climate they really need to be shaded in the summer. Sun on steel makes for a virtual oven. Shade will be more effective than any insulation.

    I know nothing, but I have questions : 1. dont you have to put up some kind of waterproof/humidity/condensation (=mold)/ anti rust barrier before the insulation ? I mean, what happens when it rains ? 2. does the foam insulation come corrugated like that to fit containers ? or you had to cut the waves yourself ? 3. how do you keep the container from rusting away as you live in it ?

    • @Profitaenzer
      @Profitaenzer Год назад +1

      1.) he should 😁 2.) Insofast 3.) Containers are made from corton steel to protect from salty sea water, rost will be not an issue.

    • @jasonmitchell432
      @jasonmitchell432 Год назад +2

      @@Profitaenzer rust is not the issue. condensation is that issue, and regardless of whether the corten steel withstands it, the condensation will pool, ultimately soaking floors, subfloors, etc. there DOES need to be some sort of vapor barrier.

    • @jasonmitchell432
      @jasonmitchell432 Год назад +1

      Corten steel is designed to develop a protective coat of rust. In theory, it will last a long time with that coat of rust. It will last longer, however, if it is entirely cleaned and scraped free of rust and then coated with a paint or coating designed specifically preserve corten steel.
