@@ToolBoxTour definitely do this, I'm a mechanic from the UK and I've seen some tools you just never hear about from watching your channel. Keep up the great videos.
Interesting on the "hide the repair" thing. It might be because I'm a fleet truck guy but I buy the clear heatshrink for the sole reason of being able to easily see where harness has been previously repaired. Totally get what you're saying but for me it's super helpful to know exactly where a wire previously broke in case the symptom comes back again a few years down the road. I've been known to tie pink flagging tape to kevlar loom over spots I know I've fixed XD
I have a Milo tin full of coloured zip ties for three reasons, marking hydraulics, marking electrical, and making sure I or the next person knows that section has been worked on before. My service manager hates that I leave my zip ties behind, even though it’s just a mini coloured zip tie that I’ve left around the harness, hose or sensor that I had to remove previously. It reduces work in the future, makes it known that sections of the machine have been worked on, and can give you a time reference as the zip ties fade over time. For a $1 per 100 zip ties it’s worth it
Bro, I can’t watch a video of yours without learning something. This time it was the lesson about the fender cover; I only work out of my garage for myself and friends, but enhancing professionalism is something that sets me apart and I haven’t been using fender covers. I’m 100% sold. Thanks for all your insight and for sharing your personal tools with us. Enjoy your vacation and I’ll look forward to seeing your videos when you get back 👍
I just found your channel a couple of days ago. This is helpful information. I'll definitely look for the plant hangers at the dollar store, you can simply add shrink tubing to add color to them. Looking forward to watching your videos
Thank you for your time my Friend. Be interesting whatever country you visit, perhaps a tool box tour..nice to see what other mechanics have in their tool box arpund the world! ✌🕶🔧
Awesome video man definitely a couple things in her to add to the box. The fin comb especially. Keep up the great work man and hope you and your family have a good vacation
What a great idea 💡 for content. I would encourage this for future videos, and certainly is a format that welcomes input from viewers. We all learn from each other. 👍🏻
I have the milwaukee heat resistant sleeves, so the thing about ryobi is they may not be a pro tool but they definitely fit the bill for your home. Once you have the battery and charger they offer a lot of neat tools that you can use the battery with under $50 its good for replacing the corded items you have at home like a glue gun, or mini car vac, dremel tool... Lots of viable options. I don't need milwaukee yard tools for how much my yard grows which is only in the spring and mid fall. I did buy some milwaukee tools for home use that I justified because they could be used on automotive and other things.
The ryobi fan is a life saver in the summer, even just for BBQ's etc. And I recognize that straight edge!!!😂 Have the best time on your vacation and fingers crossed for a toolbox tour while you're out there!!
Some great items on here for the DYIer that has a good tool collection but can utilize some of the little tricks and tools that are a little less common. Thx
For the fan... get a adapter for whatever battery you have. I have one for nicad dewalt to use my milwaukee ones. I do have a few Ryobi tools so I have a battery and fast charger though. Maybe worth it for my garage!
I just about ordered half of the tools on the list lol. I already had the other half. Very good video. That fan might be next. It's been miserable in the heat down here in the south this year. Very hot and humid.
Lol I use the dollar store plant holders too. I often also use them to hold a bucket when draining the washer fluid tank (semi trucks) or purging the power steering system or honestly a ton more uses. Not bad for a 1.25 for 2 they are pretty strong too. Oh also for painting smaller items, the company we service is all about brand image and wants no visible rust (and we are in Chicago lol) so we stay busy painting.
I could see having that fin comb for a DIYer that is detailing their rig. Use it to straighten the fins on the outside of the radiator. Make it so things look a bit newer.
Thanks for the video. I got lucky and got some fender covers in Autozone on clearance a few years ago. $5 a pop. I would suggest for anyone to get themselves some medical shears as they are tough enough to cut leather. I cannot tell you all how many times they have saved me when blades or scissors would not work. I keep a pair in my toolbox, home and car emergency kits. Madison Supply makes a good pair.
I found the best air tool swivel is the one Cornwell sells they don't get lose they stay stiff and seem to last longer and not leak I had problems with the matco one and cheap one's from lowes just my experience
Dude no one talks about those heat sleeves. I’ve had a pair for years from mechaixwear and love them. Don’t use them often but nice to have when needed.
The arm guards could have helped me out. Messing with a drivline in a school bus for a roadside repair. I smelled bacon cooking before i felt the burn of the DPF canister on my arm. Im getting some right now !!
If your looking for different format for content. You could do a series like tools you need when working on xxxx (automaker) Like video for all weird tools working on hondas like crank pulley holder, weird socket thing for adjusting vtec valves specialized things or stuff that makes your life easier.
That’s funny you said the caliper hangers are bright colored so you don’t forget them. I didn’t get that lucky 😆 the ones I bought were black and I’ve already left them on a customer car. Luckily the guy was cool and brought it back to me when I called him 😆
People who hate on air are too cheap to buy a compressor, one you have one its amazing. Also harbor freight sells those spinning hose joints and also another style that swivels where the air clips into.
Get one of the adapters that will let you run the Ryobi on one of your existing tool batteries. I have one that lets me run Ryobi tools with a Makita 18v
Spray paint will fix the black caliper hooks! Mine are now a bright gold after they took a ride on my car and I had to remove the wheel to get them back.

Can’t say how much I agree with you on the non insulated crimp terminal

Two Golden nuggets here. One the drum brake spring tool. Two the Yellow Caliper hanging hooks. Thanks for the video.
