Following up on my last post, now that the evaporator and Valve have been replaced, the A/C continues to randomly blow hot. After taking it in again, they now say it is the Compressor which would typically cost $1,900 to repair. If you ask them to submit your service to their goodwill department, they will most likely bring the cost down. Was able to get them to bring mine down to $500. However, that is determined on a case by case basis and is still a high cost for something that ultimately has been caused by their faulty condensor. I contacted corporate and after a bunch of back and forth, they would not lower the $500 goodwill offer any further and also mentioned that goodwill offers will never go down to zero. They did mention that if an extended warranty is offered at some point then the repairs that I pay for now would be reimbursed once that extension was released. However, there is no guarantee that it will happen. So it sounds like the best way for all of us to get an extended warranty on the other components is if everyone who has the issue contacts corporate and opens up a case, they will possibly consider extending it if enough cases appear to show that it is a chronic issue with the vehicle. The Honda corporate phone is 800-999-1009 for those who want to open up a case.
Thank you for your update the information. There are so many people who should have cases against Honda with their faulty compressors there Leaking Evaporators that also should be included in their extended warranty that they have already extended on condensers. There was already existing class action lawsuits against Honda for their leaking condenser problem that they knew was a problem across the nation there was no denying it. They’re having the exact same problems with those same vehicles with Leaking Evaporators and Bad compressors all on the same vehicles. Everybody needs to pick up and somehow get on a class action lawsuit for the same vehicles with the Hondas and have them push for extending the warranties to include the Evaporators and compressors. Unfortunately the third-party company they choose to make their air conditioning system designed for those specific years with those specific part numbers really messed up and made a big mistake on their materials on construction of their components. These Honda vehicles of these years with these particular problems will go down in automotive history as one of the worst cars air-conditioning systems ever to be mass produced and sold to the public that cost the general public more money out of their pocket in repairs then probably any other vehicle on earth. I only could think of one compressor that cause more damage and made auto shops more money and that was the Ford FX 15 compressor. But I think Honda is even trying to top the destruction and make more money off of customers by emptying their bank accounts by forcing them to pay to fix faulty design AC system. And it’s not just a condenser it’s the compressor and the evaporator.
Took my 2017 in yesterday after an inspection from another shop. they said they won’t even cover the warranty parts because the original report says the compressor is the issue and only the condenser is under warranty. So either $3000 or no ac in Southern California. Any news on a law suit? This situation is ridiculous.
Yes this is the absolute crime that Honda is pull it off on the general public due to the fact if they’re defective leaking condenser that is causing the compressor to burn up. Just think if the DOT department of transportation allowed tire companies to get away with that excuse. We produced a defective tire that the sidewalls blowout on cause the car to go into a spin into an accident and kill innocent people and damage to property. And the tire company says but we will only warrantee the tire that’s all we’re responsible for. Same thing I but unless lawyers get involved or the bureau of automotive repair or the bureau of Consumer repairs that’s what they’re called here in California. Nothings going to change Just like the denial and hiding the fact about the Takata deadly airbags not until lawyers got involved did anything change It’s time for change
@@lesterroberts1628 And because of our stupid ass government lockdown because of the Covid ridiculous issue putting businesses out of business and crippling our supply chain from everything from food to household goods to industrial and commercial products. You will now see skyrocketing automotive repairs because of lack of parts diminish supply chain and import shipping fees. Prior to Covid for a company to ship over a container load let’s say starters for your car for example The shipping container was $3800 to bring across the ocean and we’re going to say you can fit 5000 starters in a shipping container. You would divide and come up with a price just for the cost of shipping per starter Now I shipping container is $28,000 and you would add that on top of the price of 5000 starters. I just got the shock of my life my refrigerant prices to get a 30 pound R134 container went up 137% My refrigerant price on my residential R410 almost went up 200% percent. You will notice that even the price of simple things like air filters and oil filters and little lightbulbs have went up anywhere from 60% to 200% depending on what brand you’re purchasing. By myself 5 to 6 months in the Covid raise my labor rates 12% as of this August I raise them another 12% that’s a 24% increase in labor in one year that’s ridiculous but that’s what it takes to cover the cost now to stay in business here in San Francisco I’m considered cheap I’m at $185 an hour. Do you have the super cheap guys who are below $150 an hour but those are usually the kind of places you’re even afraid to walk in you’ll get dirty or catch something kind a look at the guys not sure if they’re going to steal something out of your car and they have equipment from the 1960s in the 1970s in their shop. They don’t pay their guys overtime none of the guys have any medical benefits whatsoever and you need to speak a second language to communicate with them. My little corner store that’s been in business for 50 years I would always get one or two bags of groceries and very rarely have to break out any more money than a $20 bill maybe $25 for two bags of groceries. Since they just re-opened since the shut down for the first time in my life at the grocery store I came out with one bag of groceries for $47 the same exact products that I’ve been buying at the grocery store for over 20+ years. Subaru pretty good on their air conditioning system the most common leak I see are the two O-rings on the section in discharge side of the compressor where the hoses connect easy fast fix. The Honda unfortunately need somebody to do a leak test diagnostic on it with a relatively expensive but very good leak detector and also have knowledge how to use it correctly. Then there is the high pressure nitrogen decay test where are you would pump it up to say 170 or 200 psi of dry nitrogen. Then go around with the ultrasonic leak detector trying to find leaks that only happen under high-pressure. And at the same times things can be doused and sprayed down with soapy bubbles with this high nitrogen pressure in the system looking for leaks. 1: And did the compressor fail from my front shaft seal leak ?. 2: did the compressor actually burn out and fall apart the pieces inside with metal debris contamination?. 3: or is it just a solenoid actuator for the variable displacement compressor which is like a $30 part that stops the compressor from working or the signal going to the actuator ?. (. The dealer often likes to sell you a $2000 compressor job when it’s only a $30 actuator that needed to be replaced !).

I'm having the same problem with my 2017 hatch sport touring. They already replace my condenser last year for free now after a year my ac is broken again I went to the dealer ship and they want 180$ for the inspection. They said if it's the condenser its gonna be free but if it's not I have to pay 180$+ repair fee and parts. This is frustrating I wonder if there's a law suit or petition to make honda pay for their scam!
There definitely should be a mass class option lawsuit especially against the 2016 to 2019 Honda Civic‘s in Honda Accords. This was something I started noticing back in 2015 to 2016 when I was getting Hondas that did not even have 10,000 miles on them and their condensers were failing. Also a unusually high amount of compressor shaft seals were leaking They also have a leak in evaporator problem that’s the part under the dash that takes many labor hours to replace. A more rare failure is when they go to remove the condenser the bottom liquid line that attaches to the fitting the end of the tube breaks off that holds the O-ring that is inserted into the condenser I’ve seen a few of these to fail which is a unusual part to fail its a manufacturing defect. Condenser number one failure Leaking or burnt compressor number two failure Leaking evaporator number three failure Leaking defective broken bottom discharge liquid condenser line fitting that breaks upon removal or re-insertion into the new condenser and starts leaking. I have posted videos about all these failures.
Honda says they extended the warranty on the original oem condenser to 10 years unlimited mileage. Mine is leaking again 2 years later. I have dye trace on order. Not sure if my 134 sniffer will work on one-two-three-four...lol
Sitting in the dealership right now actually and they said I did not have to pay anything. I have a 2017 Honda Civic Si with about 22k miles. I noticed last week the driver side was getting hot air and the passenger side was getting ice cold air. They didn’t charge me a diagnostic fee either as they said this was covered. When I got there I did mention the ac condenser issue and the extended warranty. I can’t believe some people were forced to pay for this issue 🤦🏽♀️
👍👍👍 I great outcome and that’s exactly how it should be. Unfortunately there is tens of thousands of people around the country that were charged full price and denied warranty before Honda admitted they had a defect problem and extended the warranty. And you know the Honda dealerships are not going out of their way to return the money they stole from customers.
@PrincessCamii did the dealership fix your issue with your vehicle issue? cause I have the same issue with the a/c blowing cold air in the passenger side and hot on the driver side.
@@Patbreezy408 yes they did and I wasn’t charged anything. Tell them what’s going on and if they want to charge you tell them about the extended warranty on the ac
Hello, I purchased a 2016 Honda Civic EX with 19,000 miles in 2019. Since I bought the car in December i never used the AC because of the cold Ohio temperatures. It wasn’t until around June when i realized my AC only blew hot air. After contacting the Honda dealership they told me it would cost $350+ tax and $1500 to fix the AC unit in my car. During this time i did not have the money to shell out and get this fixed so i held off and suffered during the summer with no working air conditioning. After doing some more research this past week i discovered that there was a 10 year extended warranty on the condenser that may be causing the problem with these Civics. I talked to the dealer again and they told me if the condenser is the issue than it will be covered free of charge under the warranty but if it is not the issue than i will have to pay $350+tax for the inspection and any other additional repairs. I am half tempted to just trade in this car and get something else because this should not be an issue and i am very frustrated with how this has played out. My service is on Monday so i will come back with further updates! Crossing my fingers..
I would really like to hear your updates and so with all the other innocent victims that are being ripped off by Honda. Unfortunately customers don’t know if they keep driving their car and trying to use the air-conditioning with a leak in condenser and the refrigerant level goes low the defective condenser can cause the compressor to burn up Ann Honda won’t warrantee that and want another $3000 from you because of the mistake they made by using a defective part.? Basically the same thing as holding a gun to a customers head and saying do you want us to replace your condenser under warranty and you live someplace where it’s over 100° hot in the summertime then give me your money or you get no air conditioning that was damaged by the part we installed because it wasn’t defective. This is definitely class action lawsuit territory I hope some lawyer picks this up.
@@coldfinger459sub0 lucky me, my honda honored the warranty for the leaks in my ac, compressor and condenser were leaking. They replaced both for me for no charge, including refunding the ac check cost.
@@zerodark09 wow you were blessed with both leaks. Are usually see the Honda compressor front shaft seal leaking or the condenser never seen both at the same time. It’s a good happy ending they honored Warranty on both 👍

I have a 2016 Honda Civic. Had to replace the condensor last maintenance, not knowing about the extended warranty based on Service Bulletin 19-091. Now, the very next maintenance A/C is having issues again and after a $169 test they tell me it is the evaporator core. Cost to fix is gonna be about $2,000 because of the labor to take out the dash to get to it. I'm wondering if this evaporator core issue could be something that was a result of the bad condensor. Anyone else have this additional problem?
I'm dealing with the same thing right now. 2017 Civic, AC failed in 2019 right around the time the TSB came out for the defective condenser. I took the car in to check for the source of no AC and it was determined to be the condenser. At least that's the only thing that was dealt with and the AC was back to working, fortunately under warranty and no charge to me. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and I find my AC failing again. Had the dealership do a diagnostic to find out that this time, they claim it's the evap coil that is leaking. No mention of the condenser or compressor having issues. So, like you, I'm out $185 for the inspection since it's not a bad condenser, and the estimate for the evap coil repair is ~$3000. Since it has been almost 3 years between my Civic's AC failures, it's hard to say that a defective condenser was the cause of my failing evaporator coil. But really, a car that's one month short of 5 years old with all of 42k miles is already seeing two of the three major AC components fail? Yeah, I guess that's the case if the car is a 10th generation Honda Civic.
@@mannygalindo8235 I'm going to answer this even though the question might've been directed at the OP. First, an OBTW. I looked at my old service receipt from the condenser replacement service. Turns out the service DID include replacing the compressor too! I hadn't noticed it since there was no cost to also replace the compressor since the car was under the 3 yr/36k miles warranty limits. So by April 2020, the condenser and compressor on my 2.5 year-old car had failed and were replaced. On to the evaporator service. After some back and forth, I ended up paying about $2250 for the evaporator replacement service at a dealership in Gardena, California. Including the cost of the inspection, my total out of pocket was a bit over $2400. So while the price came down ~25% from their initial quote, we aren't talking about a bargain. And don't believe they're doing you a solid should you get such a "discount" - they quoted me $3000 but offered to drop the cost to $2500 by pressuring me to get it done before the end of the month (July 2022). On top of that, they applied one of their ubiquitous 10% off service coupons to knock another $250 off. 🙄Anything to make you feel like they're on your side. Another OBTW - check out RUclipsr Joe Howto's video about this same problem. He, though, managed to get the evaporator and condenser replaced for ~$1300! So yeah, seems there's wiggle room in the pricing for these repairs.
@@mannygalindo8235 Was going to contest it but they put my case into one of their assistance program things and did it all for like $200. So I just bit the bullet and did it. Problem with that is...now it is acting up again and now they are saying it is the Compressor. I had a feeling that was going to happen. Probably gonna have to contact Corporate now seeing as it is all due to their initial bad part.
Thanks t lech for posting this video. It is very helpful. My Civic AC went out in 2019. My local honda dealer replaced the AC condenser free of charge. It was replaced under the 19-091 service bulletin. It's been 3 years now and the Civic's AC does not work again. Checked the condenser and there are a few bent fins BUT the most important part is there are no damaged tubes. Honda calls them tube faces and if they are damaged or impacted they will not replace the condenser for free. Do you know if Honda can replace the condenser again free of charge or is it a one time deal only. Thanks in advance.
I do not know about multiple condenser replacements. I always worried and felt sorry for the customers in the beginning because most likely Honda was probably just using the exact same condenser from the exact same distributor that had the problem in the first place hoping it would make it out of warranty and then screw the customer over later selling it to them at full retail price for the parts and labor this is the way they work.
@@coldfinger459sub0 Thanks for the quick reply! I plan to go back to the dealer this week and ill post an update if they will replace again. I have a can of the Honeywell 1234yf refrigerant with compatible blue hose and gauge. Do you recommend to fill or just wait and take to dealer.
I'm pretty sure the condenser would be replaced free as many times as needed under the 10 year warranty. And it seems this is a distinct possibility since a faulty condenser would often be replaced with the same defective model condenser. There's videos available that show how to determine if a condenser is an original (defective) version or an updated version. Hope all your problem is/was is the condenser, or that your car is still under warranty if the problem is something else.
2019 honda civic driver side ac stopped then both sides they found a leak and will replace condenser honda has no parts for ac right now could be months out lol who knows
I wonder if DENSO has a replacement condenser for your car if you can get it faster and go that route. Months without air-conditioning through the summer how nice is that Honda .
Seems like Honda‘s done a very good job at pissing off customers and making a whole generation of people who never want to buy another Honda. It’s a shame the Honda dealerships became rip off artist thieves and shysters just like all the other American dealerships for Chevy and Chrysler they used to not be like that 35+ years ago I used to work for a Honda dealership we were a good one number two in California for a customer service in the best service shop rating Actually they switched management and became crooks like everybody else lost all their good technicians started hiring kids and Haxan gas station attendants as mechanics they eventually went bankrupt lost all their customers
So with the 1234 you need to add a secondary sub cooler prior to hitting the metering device? Does the compressor not have enough hp to force the hot gas through the metering device?
You do not force hot gas through a metering device A metering device or a sub cooler has nothing to do with horsepower you want subcooled liquid hitting your metering device And depending on the type of condenser size available and his capability of rejecting enough BTUs and having enough area left over and they given the size to have sub cooling available or not will determine whether or not a secondary additional sub cooling device is needed.
@@coldfinger459sub0 sorry i meant that the compressor does not have enough horsepower to push the sub cooled liquid through the metering device but by the sounds of it that the condenser does no either have enough time to cool the super heated gas to a sub cooled liquid cfm through the condenser or does not have enough surface area to complete the latent heat transfer from a gas to a liquid. Those needing a supplemental secondary exchanger.
@@coldfinger459sub0 certain compressors has a larger horse power rating to help with the flow of charge through the system. Depends on the pipe/charge amount/ complete system design. @@miszcakjr1 so with automobiles unlike commercial or residential HVAC a lot of things are done for looks and design and economy. Look at the size in the face of a small Honda or Toyota how it narrows down and become small there is just no more room like the old cars to put a condenser that is 33 inches long and 28 inches high and 1 inch thick anymore those days are long gone. R12 was a very efficient gas it had a good BTU content per pound Then in 1990 we started switching over to R134 it was less efficient gas BTU content capability per pound so they had to add more fins per inch and more smaller diameter refrigerant passage tubes compensate for the less efficient gas Now with R1234YF this gas is even less efficient than R134. And to make the EPA happy and get extra green CO2 credits the manufacturers also had to reduce the quantity of refrigerant gas in each vehicle meaning you have to pump more faster harder in smaller condensers and evaporators at the same time trying to keep head pressure is down for increased gas mileage and make the compressor smaller so they are lighter and can fit into smaller engine compartment and over spin the piss out of them. Yes we come in to the condition we are in now internal heat exchangers (IHX) aka additional sub cooling needed have been added
So the AC in newer Hondas don't blow as cold? I had a 04 Accord and thought it worked pretty well. Better than my 10 Prius. My Prius will get down to 40F depending how hot it is outside. But it really struggles to cool the car down when it's been sitting in 103F heat, even mid 90's. Do you have a list of vehicles that cool really well for 100F+ weather? My dad's 18 F150 seems to work pretty dang well.
Good question but I was not referring to high as in psi for pressure. I was referring to the high suction refrigerant line temperature. It was higher than normal because they use a IHX (internal heat exchanger). Most guys are used to temperature is much lower but since the introduction of the internal heat exchanger it raises the temperature of the return section line temperature not pressure.
@@coldfinger459sub0 wow,Your a pretty intelligent guy.. @@mikeschannel1418 actually we do not recharge air-conditioning systems by pressure. Especially on these new vehicles that have variable displacement compressors and they use sensors to change the displacement all the time constantly so you would be changing and charging and chasing pressures up and down or the other scenario it keeps a constant pressure whether it’s a little bit overcharge or a little bit under charge because the computer is trying it’s hardest to maintain what it thinks is the best pressure for the ambient air temperature and humidity and the sun load on the car will change all the time. There is only one correct way to recharge the system Two completely 100% recover all the refrigerant put it on a vacuum pump. Let me see if I understand you correctly. 1: The compressor burnt out and they say they’re covering it under the extended warranty correct ? 2: what about the condenser leaking is that also being covered under extended warranty ? 3: they tell you the evaporator Hass to be replaced I am guessing why let’s see if I’m correct ?. 3a: Did they say the evaporator needs to be replaced because there is dirty burnt oil and debris in the system and they cannot flush it out therefore it Hass to be replaced ?. If this is the case it was caused by the failure of their compressor that burnt and made the debris that goes through the expansion valve and into the evaporator and if they don’t get the burnt oil out of there or small metal particles it may make the new compressor fail prematurely. In this case you are not responsible for the evaporator because it’s due to their faulty part a chain of events like a domino effect affects other part because of Honda’s defective part. 3b: It sounds like they’re trying to cover some of their losses because they do not make money enough at a higher rate when they do warranty work I used to work at Honda as a mechanic. 3c: did they tell you your evaporator was leaking ? 4: did they mention anything about the expansion valve if you had a burnt up compressor ?.

@@jagdishkafe916 Sounds like you’re dealing with a bad company and you’re in a bad situation. Because if it’s only the compressor that failed which is Honda‘s compressor under warranty. Each and every other part throughout the system prior to the compressor failing was in good operating order in perfect condition. But because Honda’s compressor failed under warranty the burnt oil in small metal flake debris gets spread throughout the system damaging all the other components throughout the system. So it’s due to the fact that honda’s compressor failed causing the side effect of damaging all the other components that need to be replaced. This is the fact that therefore honda’s part did all the related damage should be liable for replacing everything It is true on a burned-out compressor with metal flake in the system you cannot replace it with just throwing in another compressor because it all just damage the new compressor. But since Honda is under warranty compressor failed in damaged everything else Honda is the one responsible for fixing their mess.

I have a 2017 Civic EX-T and every summer the AC hasn't worked and it's alway a leak. Took my car in today and my Honda dealership will replace the condenser under warranty but the compressor because my car is no longer under 36,000 miles. They want $1900 for the repair! I have called Honda so let's see if they do the right thing and cover the repair.
I really hope you’re successful because it has nothing to do with natural wear and tear or normal failure of the compressor. It has everything to do with the slow long release leakage of refrigerant. As Honda’s defective condenser leaks out the refrigerant the (“superheat”) is the technical term. Returning back to the compressor gets really high the compressor relies on this extra refrigerant for cooling to keep the case and the internal friction heat that is generated down to stop the compressor from overheating. At the very same time well the AC system on the Honda is running slowly low on refrigerant the oil leaves the compressor but not all of the oil returns back to the compressor so they start starting for oil at the same time. So Honda is experiencing a very high volume of failed compressors on these vehicles with defective condenser‘s and the failed compressor is a direct result of Honda’s poor quality defective condenser that is under warranty. Unfortunately it looks like nothing but a class action lawsuit and getting consumer affairs involved to get this issue taken care of is what is needed. I’m going back to all the documentations of past customers giving them their money back for being ripped off by being told they have to pay for compressors when it was Honda’s fault in the first place
This is a good as is should be. Can you imagine for years how many thousands of people were forced to pay 💰 a $1000. Air conditioning is kind of that voodoo black magic like electricity you can’t see it tasted touch it or feel it it’s all hidden behind those pipes just like electricity is hidden and wires people don’t understand what can or what cannot happen and the way it supposed to operate. Just that the right lawyers with the right consumer groups have not caught wind of this major class action lawsuit there’s a lot of back money paid out by customers that should be reimbursed to the customers who have all been ripped off by Honda dealership net work
Following up on my last post, now that the evaporator and Valve have been replaced, the A/C continues to randomly blow hot.
Nothings going to change
Just like the denial and hiding the fact about the Takata deadly airbags not until lawyers got involved did anything change
It’s time for change

Prior to Covid for a company to ship over a container load let’s say starters for your car for example
The shipping container was $3800 to bring across the ocean and we’re going to say you can fit 5000 starters in a shipping container. You would divide and come up with a price just for the cost of shipping per starter
Now I shipping container is $28,000 and you would add that on top of the price of 5000 starters.

Also a unusually high amount of compressor shaft seals were leaking
They also have a leak in evaporator problem that’s the part under the dash that takes many labor hours to replace.
A more rare failure is when they go to remove the condenser the bottom liquid line that attaches to the fitting the end of the tube breaks off that holds the O-ring that is inserted into the condenser I’ve seen a few of these to fail which is a unusual part to fail its a manufacturing defect.
Condenser number one failure
Leaking or burnt compressor number two failure
Leaking evaporator number three failure
Leaking defective broken bottom discharge liquid condenser line fitting that breaks upon removal or re-insertion into the new condenser and starts leaking.
I have posted videos about all these failures.
Honda says they extended the warranty on the original oem condenser to 10 years unlimited mileage. Mine is leaking again 2 years later. I have dye trace on order. Not sure if my 134 sniffer will work on one-two-three-four...lol
If it’s a halfway decent refrigerant leak detector it will pick up the R1234YF.

Literally the same story problem here dude any update on yours?

2019 civic condenser failed at 10k miles,Belfast Dealership replaced it under warranty but its still shouldnt happen...

So with the 1234 you need to add a secondary sub cooler prior to hitting the metering device? Does the compressor not have enough hp to force the hot gas through the metering device?
You do not force hot gas through a metering device
A metering device or a sub cooler has nothing to do with horsepower
you want subcooled liquid hitting your metering device
And depending on the type of condenser size available and his capability of rejecting enough BTUs and having enough area left over and they given the size to have sub cooling available or not will determine whether or not a secondary additional sub cooling device is needed.
R12 was a very efficient gas it had a good BTU content per pound
Then in 1990 we started switching over to R134 it was less efficient gas BTU content capability per pound so they had to add more fins per inch and more smaller diameter refrigerant passage tubes compensate for the less efficient gas
Now with R1234YF this gas is even less efficient than R134.

With the proper condenser not a cheap aftermarket one and the proper recharge the air conditioning dose get cold
So the AC in newer Hondas don't blow as cold? I had a 04 Accord and thought it worked pretty well. Better than my 10 Prius. My Prius will get down to 40F depending how hot it is outside. Good detailed video bud. Do You know the high and low pressures of the system. You said high 116 and low 34,Is this correct
Good question but I was not referring to high as in psi for pressure.
I was referring to the high suction refrigerant line temperature. It was higher than normal because they use a IHX (internal heat exchanger).

2: what about the condenser leaking is that also being covered under extended warranty ?

3a: Did they say the evaporator needs to be replaced because there is dirty burnt oil and debris in the system and they cannot flush it out therefore it Hass to be replaced ?.
If this is the case it was caused by the failure of their compressor that burnt and made the debris that goes through the expansion valve and into the evaporator and if they don’t get the burnt oil out of there or small metal particles it may make the new compressor fail prematurely.
In this case you are not responsible for the evaporator because it’s due to their faulty part a chain of events like a domino effect affects other part because of Honda’s defective part.

This is the fact that therefore honda’s part did all the related damage should be liable for replacing everything
It is true on a burned-out compressor with metal flake in the system you cannot replace it with just throwing in another compressor because it all just damage the new compressor.

Had my condenser replaced by Honda yesterday in my 2016 Civic. Honda covered all costs.
This is a good as is should be.
Can you imagine for years how many thousands of people were forced to pay 💰 a $1000. To replace their factory defective condenser on wich Honda denied responsibility ?.
Do you think 🤔 Honda will give that money back?.
Now the other scam is because of the leaking condenser it sometimes burns 🔥 out the compressor . Honda is denied it warranty making customers pay 💰
I had my condenser replaced at the dealership about a year ago. i dont drive the car much its a 2016 honda civic ex 2.0 and now i am having the same issue again where cold air is only blowing from the passenger side. dealer says my ac compressor is now leaking FFS
16k miles
@@BloodthirstyGod yes the Honda compressors have a problem with the front shaft seal leaking which you can see oil and if it has UV dye in it coming out of the front plate which is the clutch of the compressor oily residue this is common I have experienced this several times with all the new Hondas.
I would like to know if it’s the front shaft seal on the compressor that is leaking ?
It appears there’s a lot of front shaft seals leaking on Honda compressors that they should be covering under warranty because it’s happening too often on too many vehicles with low mileage
@@coldfinger459sub0 i can confirm leaking at shaft seal. they said it was leaking at the bearing but same difference
Funny I found this video today. Honda dealership just called me back saying that my compressor is leaking and is not under warranty since its not the condenser but now I’m wondering about this whole thing…..🤔😑..I have a 2016 Honda Civic btw. I’m not sure what to do at this point, the amount they want me to pay is outrageous…
Isn’t it nice they are defective part ruins another part and they deny all responsibility and they get the rape and pillage the customers Wallet like an ATM
And they know the general public doesn’t know any better and even the majority of automotive technicians a mechanic do not even know this because they’re on educated unskilled have no institutional training that is required to take them to a higher level of learning in the automotive field especially air-conditioning.
Air conditioning is kind of that voodoo black magic like electricity you can’t see it tasted touch it or feel it it’s all hidden behind those pipes just like electricity is hidden and wires people don’t understand what can or what cannot happen and the way it supposed to operate.
Just that the right lawyers with the right consumer groups have not caught wind of this major class action lawsuit there’s a lot of back money paid out by customers that should be reimbursed to the customers who have all been ripped off by Honda dealership net work
Chevy is worse I think
