One of those songs that could be on repeat all day long and you'd never tire of hearing it ❤
Feile '90 in Ireland & backup act for Paul Heaton in 2022. Incredible................ Big gap, 2 phenomenal performances!
Literally done this back in the day. Started playing Borderlands at 1am with this on repeat, next time I checked the clock it was 9am and I need to get ready for uni. Great song, mix here is shit though
i saw them at wembley arena in the 80 s with my then girlfriend Martine a beautiful soul we had a great time later in life she took her own life this song always reminds me of her and the great times we had i loved her so much i thought she was so beautiful in looks and she had a wonderful personality we laughed together so much i have been married and divorced i have had numerous long term relationships but never loved anyone as much as i loved Martine Mc donald she was georgeous in every aspect and i miss her xxx
Nobody can produce their studio sound live on stage better than them............amazing balance
Your spot on there ! They know exactly how to get everyone going... I have seen them along with there friends from Glasgow. Texas ..who are also great live. They use exactly the same tried and tested formula of the set list and comments .. eg Ross with "are you sure" and Texas who tell people to go forth and multiply if they do not know "suspicious minds"... but if it works ..don't fix it. !
I’ve always thought Lorraine is one of the most inventive backing vocalists there is, always coming up with interesting harmonies and unexpected backing vocal lines. The song 'A brighter star than you will shine one day' has the most beautiful backing vocals.
You have hit the nail on the head,,I've watched so many live vids and she really mixes it up ,a true talent
She and Lauryn Hill are my favourite female vocalists of all time. Her voice is so beautiful.
I saw Deacon Blue live 35 years ago as a 17 year old and they remain my favourite band from the 80s. Still sounding as fantastic today as ever, Ricky and Lorraine!
@@JustHattsyet here you are, watching & commenting on them, Rachel… 🤫
Me too
His voice (and hers) have such a great quality to them.
They were excellent - one of the highpoints of the day.
A beautiful performance!
Looking forward to see , listen, and sing along ..in 2 day's in Birmingham. Ticket purchased 10 months ago ..but this band along with Texas have stood the test of time !
Cardiff was an amazing gig as well
@@witc0mbe128 would have liked to be there someday 🙄 I have some great footage of the Birmingham gig . I had a seat in the 3 front rows and will be uploading it in the next few days.
I have footage from the last tour ..again in quality hd which I hope will be as entertaining . Just search Johnny uppal for my channel .. in short I don't upload anything which is similar to being "up in the heavens" looking for a little dot ! Glad you enjoyed your experience in Cardiff. I have to be honest and mention how I noticed everyone seemed to be in the trance of yester year ..the grey hair, the Zimmer frames, the people who could not stand up .. the hearing aids , the middle aged gentlemen who I would never imagine jumping up and down with man boobs ! ... inc me ! But hey .. everyone goes through that circus light.😀
Fantastisch ! Was für eine Menschenmenge ! Und noch tolle Qualität von BBC Music ! Traumhaft
Ja naturlich, danke!
Still two beautiful voices.
God I loved this song!! Awesome
Saw them in Johannesburg, South Africa. Exceptional
Año 2024 y seguimos siendo sus fans Deacon Blue. Un abrazo desde Santiago de Chile
Absolutely brilliant live band ❤
2:58 I had surgery only a month ago. Must have heard his voice. I came out of Anesthesia obsessed 😮 can't believe what I am seeing
Great to see these guys still kicking it out of the park.
❤❤❤❤❤ Deacon Blue❤❤❤❤❤
Can't wait to see them here in Australia in December
Where in Australia matey😮
@@user-mx3js7fv6g Brisbane
😮 I did ask...where and when in Australia. Adelaide hopefully. Will make High point of holiday if not in SA.
@@user-mx3js7fv6g I live in Adelaide so would’ve seen theme here (28th November) but I’m seeing them in Brisbane instead on 6th December as I’m in Brisbane that night anyway
Got my tkts for the show in Wellington NZ
Say them at hydro last Saturday in Glasgow 1st time was amazing been them for years great night
classic 80s
Espectacular el sonido en vivo es igual o mejor que el de estudio son geniales recuerdos de .i juventud
you smashed it thank you x
Saw Friday Liverpool absolutely fantastic
Lorraine McIntosh is the absolute star of this set... what a legend! Saw it at Radio 2 in the Park and became a fan!
Seen them last night in Newcastle….they were fuckin fantastic, 28 sings they did
Awesome 🤙
just love deacon blue my favourite band of all time after abba
Wow, they've really looked after their voices.
They both sound as good if not better than in the 80s ❤
Full send.
Dougie Vipond!!
It wouldn’t be Deacon Blue without him, would it?
Doogie vipond legend
Still got it
Lorraine carried this one - as strong as charismatic as ever. Ricky sounds like he just got out of bed.
Lorraine Kelly off gmtv on backing vocals
I’m just jealous of his lid.
Don't they sound good....very good 👍
Brilliant 🤩
It's "I tear out these pages".
NOT "I list all these pages"
Why the change in lyrics?
great, but a little slow...
ricky ross having a seizure 1:32 dont like them for being anti english
Hates England - but will take their money. Hypocrite.
This feels way too slow with the beat like this
A poor mans Simple Minds !
uh uh uh uh
this is another example of artists that just can't keep their politics to themselves. during the Scottish independence vote.. their anti-english stance soured my liking for their music... somehow it just wasn't for me.
Radio 2 making a big fuss about how great Leicester is because it's so diverse and then put on majority white acts with a majority white crowd. That doesn't bother me, I just find it funny that they made a point about it being in Leicester.
When you have typically older bands from the 80s obviously you are going to attract a core audience as well the youth that don't get to go to Many festivals unless the travel to other places.
@@paxtonpomykal5243That wasn't my point.
@@captainbadger1013 your point doesn't really stand up then if you look at the city of Leicester it's probably the most diverse in the UK or at least top 5 so when marketing a huge event of course they will play into that it's common sense
@@paxtonpomykal5243 Of course I'm well aware of Leicester's ethnic makeup and only live 40 miles from the city. They made a big song and dance about this fact, then had hardly any diverse acts and the local population clearly were uninterested in attending the event.
@@captainbadger1013 how many 80s bands are one diverse or two played on radio 2 that would come down to perform i.e no one really from abroad it's not exactly a high selection
