How to Fit / Mod / Hack Japanese Gel Refill into a Retro 51 Tornado Rollerball (Text narration only)

In this video, I'm going to demonstrate how to fit Retro51 Tornado Rollerball pen with Japanese Gel Refills, such as the Pilot G2, Uniball Signo 207/307, Pentel Energel, Zebra Sarasa Clip, and so on.

Uniball Refill UMR-87E from Unibal Signo 307
Pentel Refill LR-7 from Pentel Energel
Though I didn't try the others, but I suspect that the following should works similarly too:

I was looking for new metal pens that take a G2 refill, but stumbled on your post linking me here. Now I can just pick up some G2 refills at the store this morning and put them in my Tornado, which I didn't use much because I didn't like the way it writes on my notebook. Thank You!

Glad it helped! I don't dislike the retro51's refill, but, Japanese gel refills are just better at a much lower cost!

So, after trying about 10 pens, the one I find works best is the 207, currently using the 207+ ink. I tried looking for .5 but only found .7. I tried the g2 but the tip is too fat so it doesn't slide out and keeps getting stuck to the tip barrel. With a few mods and trying various springs, I find the 207 series fits best and works amazing. Thank you for the tutorial now I don't have to use retro's refill. As a lefty, it was a nightmare for me.@@jacobonfountainpen

For me I prefer the Pentel energel 0.7mm, it's so smooth! Zebra sarasa clip's refill works for me too.

podobnie robie w srebrnych dlugopisach. oryginalne noski trzymające kulkę są cienkie i dlugie. ja uzywam nozyka lub rozgrzanego gwoździa dla zrobienia cienszej koncowki, musze wyprobowac temperówkę (fajne polskie slowo - temperowka - od lacinskiego slowa scyzoryk i wloskiego czas i tempo-rytm w muzyce)
