- This is the first lap of the 24 hours of old pueblo, I won the solo category eventually doing 20 laps on the 16 mile course for 320 miles in 24 hours and 19 minutes. I did the first lap in 57 minutes which was a good bit faster than I wanted to go right off the bat but getting ahead of the huge pack is always good.

Dynamite!!! Job Josh Yewwwwwwwww!!!!!
I just did a Zwift ride watching this to start my training for next year. Favorite 24 solo course ever. Congrats Josh!
Thanks Sean! super fun race and vibe, I'm looking forward to getting back to races like this.
Josh, is the first lap (excluding the the Lemans run up) shorter than the subsequent laps?
It’s probably the same distance but it’s out on the road to the bitches section instead of the first single track. With the run the first lap would definitely be the longest though.
Did you run a dropper?
Hey man, yes I run a dropper on all my bikes. I use the 9point8 Fall line 125mm length for racing and 150mm for trail bikes and trail riding,
Wreck at 6:38
it must really painful running with their carbon soled stiff mtb shoes
Ya it’s definitely not very good footwear for running that’s for sure! Plenty of adrenaline so you don’t really think about it.
Did you cut out part of the video? Lap says 57min, but video is 43 min.
Yes I did cut out some of the lap.
great POV Josh....that's what it is all about!
Great video and one heck of a hot 1st. lap considering you were riding in the SOLO class. I figured you were adrenalin rushed riding with the other 3-4 guys in front of you. No matter very Impressive!
It was definitely to fast for a first lap but the adrenaline is going and it’s a fast course so if you can get a draft it helps a lot.
Hello Josh, I’m not seeing nobody wearing a jacket or vest, this race is in February, isn’t it cold? Or it was a different time of the year?
February in Tucson AZ is very nice and can be in the 70’s during the day , at night it can get pretty cold but day time temps are very nice this time of year.
Very impressive effort Josh !!!
Riding mighty close to the cactus.
Yes inches from serious pain! no cactus injections for 24 hours of riding, I was definitely very happy about that, those cholla are nasty!
Just road the course today and is in good shape. Damn you guys were bringing it!
Awesome Larry! Ya that first lap and the next couple were way faster than we should have been going.
Is the first lap the only time you ride the road that far too get to the Bitches? I always ride the bypass as it is more fun and scenic, albeit slower. I thought if you didn’t take the bypass you stayed left on the single track that led to the bitches. It’s been years since I have officially ridden the race so maybe they re-routed stuff.
@@schadlarry yes just on the first lap we went out on the road that connected to the Bitches then it's on the single track to the left after that.
Just awesome
Colin, glad you like the video. To bad the race got canceled this year, hopefully we will all be back to racing soon.
Man tha tx CR’s z y!
Omg how far did they need to run?
Hi Judy, we ran for about a quarter mile so not super far.
